Don't we recognize that all our lives, everyday we do the same thing but we define the day by things that we do, while no matter what we do it is still a part of the same thing, "Life"! It is not that complicated really, if you open your eyes and understand. We all have, most of us, two eyes, but one brian. We know if we look at something with just one eye and then with the other, it looks slightly different, left eye, right eye, same picture but different view. That is also true of most of reality, we look at the same picture but it looks different to different people. Like democrats and Republicans. We live in a world of some 8 billion people, it is only natural that some will view the same thing differently than others. The differences are not really irreconcilable unless we decide to make them so, that is where ego comes in. Ego is always and only about "what is in it for me". Let's say if someone that want to be the speaker, someone that wants a certain person to be the speaker happens to die tonight, what will it matter to that person, yet in the grand scheme of things, we want to get what we want, no matter what.
