I have been lazy. I know there is so much going on un the world. But lucky for us, we don't care, really don't. I know we say we care, and that is important, not what we care about. Doesn't matter. There is a story of Din Quixote, he fought the windmills, we are keeping up the tradition. And like I said, life for us is like a football game, when our team loses it is always someone else's fault, usually we balme the referees, we blame the bad calls. So it is, it is always someone else's fault. We are stuck somewhere between "I don't know" and "they did that". We look for solutions from those that have never found one, we call them our leaders, because they are just like us, always pointing fingers at the otherside, always supporting our BS, because it makes us feel good about ourselves. And why not, if we/us/they blame those "others" we neither have to take any action, be held responsible, or to offer any solutions, we are happy, though we are still spinning wheels. Or we are humans, our solution to any problem has always been to kill the others, problem solved. Didn't Cain kill Abel, didn't we have an #Inquisition, and then the #Reformation and the "witch trails". Problems are always solved with murder. We are exceptional indeed. I am amused, we complain about the "globalization" the "globalists", the corporations and guess who do we look to solve our problems? The same globalists, the elite, can we do something on our own? There is a lot of complaining going on, we complain about the mainstream media, and what is the mainstream media, o the channel or the commentator the we are not listening to, because the channel or the commentator we do listen to told us not to. We refuse to see what is in front of us. Me too, some nights I open the refrigerator for a snack and go through twenty items and say we have nothing to eat. We love to call things we refuse to see, or sometimes do not understand a conspiracy, so yhe world is full of conspiracies against "me", against "us". I can assure you, dear reader, regardless of any and all disagreement ls between you and I, any misgivings, you and I have much more in common than either of has in common with say, Trump, Biden, Musk or Soros, we can work together better than we can with any or all of the aforementioned. We must learn to see the facts and take off the blindfolds that have been placed over our eyes. We should learn to see and accept the truth. How was your day? I had some good news, will talk about it later. A fee days ago, I had pasted a meme about swimming in a pool with dead body, as opposed to swimming in the ocean with a possibility of many dead bodies, I had said it sounded different if we look at it from a philosophical point of view. We tend to, learn to ignore many things, and sometimes the truth is among those many things. True that we ignore the "known" fact that there may be many, may be even thousands of dead bodies in the ocean, we choose to ignore that reality for our person comfort. If there is murder next door we act differently than if they are reporting say a tornado with tens of deaths in a neighboring town, which is always different than if the tornado happens a few states away. Isn't it the same about wars? I posted a story about an inmate dying of heat in a prison, there was atleast one "so what" response, predictable. We are upset at our government about the high cost of food, but we ignore the fact that due to the same war "that we started" and are supporting there are millions facing starvation in Africa and South Asia, so what? Right. It is just like that body in the pool. We like to stay in our comfort zone. It is called "human nature". I am not trying to make you feel guilty, not trying to make you change your mind, I am saying that I understand. We are simple people, us humans that is, and half of us are "below average", we are easy marks, once we understand that, internalize that fact, we can start to make progress. Yet to think that we are all alike and that the super rich can save us or only want the best ( or atleast what is good) for us, is a falsehood. The only people that think like us are the ones we surround ourselves with or we are surrounded by, I am sure that Biden, or Trump, Obama or Musk do not, can not think like you or I , or even think about you and I. What keeps you up at night is not what keeps Bill Gates up at night, we are not living in the same world. Going back for a minute to what the world will be like in 10 or 20 years, you and I can not imagine, but it will not be like the 1960s, it will not even be like 1990s or 1920s. There is a show by that name and the phrase is Trade marked, so I don't know if someone would've sued me, or this platform would have got in "out of shape", anyway, I have never watched the show, not even interested, don't care. But such is life, we are supposed to be excited, about something, about everything, I guess, I don't, only thing that gets me excited these days is seeing my kids and grandkids, and that is all there is. I have a comfortable life, even though tornado warning has been on and off tonight, my lights are still on, and it is kinda warm, supposed to be in the 20s next week. Merry Christmas. I have a heart cath the 28th, I had to check in with a kidney specialist today to see that my kidneys can handle the radioactive dye. Not a problem. On the way, a 45 minute drive, I had a revelation. No matter how long you have lived, how you have lived, what you have or what you want, your desires, they all cease to matter at all, the moment you cease to be. I am a cynic, I guess, I don't like people posting Happy Birthday in (wherever one maybe), actually the day of one's demise is the actual day of their birth in the hereafter, so instead the Anniversary of one's passing should be celebrated as their day of birth in their new life, but! If you have followed my page for a while, then you know I get excited about sciency things, and yesterday we had a huge scientific break through. Not really, at cost of literally billions we created more energy than we used ( in layman's terms). How soon you will be able to plug in your toaster or coffee machine into that "fusion" based power, if ever, is anyone's guess, they are saying billions will be invested in the new technology, I say wait, a long time. We are still working to get that "renewables" thing going, and that will be a few years yet. But we have faith, we know we will survive the Armageddon, the Apocalypse, a nuclear war and (the rapture too?). Anyway it doesn't hurt to be ready, just in case. Every single one of us believes that we will be the last person on the face of the earth, or the last man/woman/ person standing, no problem, have at it. Yet I know that most people are not "themselves", heck I wrote about being an "enigma" many years ago. We like to be accepted, even to the point that if is dating someone with tattoos or piercings ( or wants to hangout wit such a group), they automatically confirm. Same with a biker club, a bowling league, a church group. We adapt to the ways of the others, no individuality. And of course the same gruoos won't have you if you wish to be "different", so much for one's personal choice and freedom. It is tough being different, I appreciate that more than many, thank goodness that I am loner, and I am totally happy doing my thing. I don't need to be accepted, or maybe that I don't mind being rejected, it works either way. When a corporation or a billionaire sponsors a news person, a news channel, a university chair, a think tank, they are paying to have their views affirmed and promoted, you don't think a person being paid hundreds of thousands or even millions can have an "independent" viewpoint, do you? So you like a certain program, a certain writer, a certain magazine or a channel, that is your default choice, and soon you start sounding the person you have been paying attention to, you are no longer free to think. Try this next time you are watching TV, try to think what can think bad about the point being made, if you cannot come up with one single point against the opinion, your brainwashing is complete, you have no use for a brain. But I let you think it over. Then it was the quote from Confucius about what should one give up for "wealth and fame", apparently a lot. Morals don't matter in today's society, we love to watch the scum float on /to the top, Confucius actually wanted (admonished) the leaders to have good morals and to set an example for the "peasants", he said that if the leaders have good manners the public will also. He wanted the leaders to have good taste, good etiquette, even "good taste in music". I could go in further detail, but you can do your own research or just ask, we will talk. My third post was about "establishing a bad precedent", from the speech of Julius Cesar, Have we not allowed our leaders to establish bad laws? We have been sold to the bankers, the corporations have the power to undermine our #Constitution our freedoms and our democracy. Average American has no standing and no recourse, from home foreclosures, to drug addiction to pollution we are at the mercy of our betters. The FED and the corporations control whether we will be able to eat, be employed, our businesses stay open. And we are being watched and surveilled and our information sold and traded, while we are "free to do what we want". And if you like, read the whole text of Cesar's speech, study it, and think about what we, today, wish to do to those that we disagree with. M. N. R. We all wish that some where in the past something would have been different, we forget that the present that we are experiencing exists only because the things happened exactly the way they did, or we wouldn't be here to make that wish. There is something called "the butterfly effect", it goes something like this that unbeknownst to us a butterfly flutters it's wings in the Amazon and it causes a hurricane in the fareast. Things work together. How far in the history, personal or the world would you like go to back and change "one thing", that would have made things better, or worse. We talk about the European invasion of the Americas, it was bad, that is true, millions were killed unjustly and their lands taken, fact, but if not so, you and I wouldn't be here talking about it. We would still be in Europe "hacking" eachother, for all it is worth, the US, not considering all the evil that we do", has contributed greatly to the advancement of humanity. I am too practical I guess, or just great at making excuses, we all can be, maybe, but it is how I make sense of my world. I go back over on my life each day, more so now than before, I have spent the last 25 years wondering what I could have done differently, what difference that would have made, but I am here because of the road I took, and to some extent so are you, everyone. My house is quiet, since my wife , the only other occupant of those has gone to bed, I have one neighbor and at the back of the house are hundreds of acres of woods ( not my property). It has been a long day, of news, people are still trying to find out what was so important on the Hunter laptop, they keep looking, Tucker is not telling, Hannity is talk still, still. Well, Warnock won, Trump company lost, the Capitol police got medals that the conservatives didn't vote for, and the market was down again, along with oil prices. On a long enough timeline, we will all be dead! Where am I today, in life, where are you? What was to you or for you by the government, how did you get where you are, how did the government effect your life, for better or for worse? Yes there are many that are affected by the government policies, but seriously, we are more affected by the local and state than federal policies. And again, we are a free country, with free markets, therefore there is much that is done to us by the federal reserve and the mega corporations than the big government. There are too many noise makers out there. They say there was something that happened on January 6 of 2020, by who though? I didn't see a single state or higher political leader, no corporate leader, not a single billionaire or a head of a multi national. I didn't see a Federal Judge, a senator a congressional leader, not even a member, most of the mob was clueless and leaderless, and for that the Capitol Police got medals? And Herschel lost, Herschel who? Did you ever listen to the guy? But like John Kennedy said, we don't need smart leaders, maybe useful idiots, maybe that is what we deserve anyway. Are we going in a depression, we need one though, average person has too much money, poor people are buying up blocks of properties and raising insurance rates, people are buying islands and beach front homes, and toilet paper too. And people make points that they can neither explain logically or defend. Facts don't matter if they are against what you believe. We live in a culture of "perpetual adolescene", never willing to grow up, throwing a fit every time we don't have things go our way. Don't believe me? Look at your boss, your coworkers, at your workers, at your "partner" even. If you don't throw a tamper tantrum everytime things don't go the way you like, you are an exception in today's society. We complain about the economy, and worry if the economy slows down how will we survive, not because we will starve, but because we are over extended and spend way too much, we have been buying things on the assumption that we will always make more money. We also worry that someone else may get food to eat or have healthcare. Years ago I had explained why we need the poor to keep the economy going, we need the poor to keep our stores open, our Wal-Mart and Dollar stores, our used car lots busy, our rentals rented, our trash picked up, our power bills, cable bills , cellphone bills low, and much more, it is even totally worth it to pay some people not to work at all, just so they will have " spending money". But many do not understand, we are, have been programmed to look down upon and abuse the underclasses. You have heard of the economies of scale, what will happen to cost of a phone line, a cable service, a car, gasoline, food, if only half the people had the money to buy the service or product. If half the people had cars, if no one could afford a used car, if half the people had a phone, if the Dollar store lost half its customers? What we call obsessions sometimes turn into borderline insanity. And if , as some say, insanity is caused by hormonal imbalances, then we can infer that a thought pattern over time will cause our brains to secrete hormones that are not helpful. We notice how people in "love" can become depressed, depressed people go deeper in their depression. People that are unable to control their anger and do irrational things, you get the point. If one can have obsessive compulsive disorder of behavior, then why can't we recognize an obsessive compulsive disorder of "thought patterns". Just as we have an obsessive compulsive disorder of drug use, only that is designated differently. The base is the same, all related behaviors. It is the same pattern, if you will, when a person promises something to another, they keep going down the rabbit hole, the promises keep getting bigger, same is with the politicians that keep promising more and more, those in power want more power, those with money want more money, it is the same obsession same sickness, if you will. We all want to be right yet, what if we run out if facts and the truth to support our claims, ofcourse everyday life is not like the science, we can make up our own theories and facts, many of us do just that, bit making up facts and evidence doesn't get us anywhere. May be you never heard a real life snake oil salesman, but listen to a used car salesman, listen to a politician, the longer you listen the more the story gets bigger, you start to think that the "Pinto" they are selling you is really a Porsche. I am a retired soldier, at 70, I have lived a good, long and free life, doing my thing. Times have changed, I am no longer living in the 50s, the 60s, the 70s, the 80s, the 90s, you know, the world has changed, whether I liked it or not. I was at a funeral today, the preacher gave a sermon about "Humility" , Matthew 18, I was going to talk about it also, which would've been appropriate, considering we are talking about a billionaire, but no, let's talk about sincerity instead. Someone commented why I am suddenly talking about Elon, well I have talked about him since he announced his intention to buy a social media platform, and suddenly there were millions that became his fans, not me. What do we know about this guy. Let me back up here. Are you one of his new fans? How much you know about him? Are you an environmentalist that is all for renewables, do you own an electric vehicle, are you buying a self driving car,? Do you have solar panels on your residence? A battery backup for your home? Are you a fan of astronomy, space travel, living and working on Mars. Are you a fan of robots that can take over jobs, not flipping burgers, but doing home building, welding, auto repair, robot cops on the streets? How about face recognition, how about 24/7 surveillance. We are not sincere, really, we think that Elon can be used to advance our political aims and agenda, but at what cost to our own personal freedom, we are not thinking. In the greater scheme of things, if not Elon it will be someone else, another individual or a corporation maybe. The Congress will pass a defense budget, billions will be alloted to DARPA, no one knows what technology DARPA will subsidize and buy, and if not Elon someone else (Jeff Bezos) will make billions with "your" tax dollars and buy a 600ft yacht or an underground bunker with a swimming pool and a basketball court. And then there are government subsidys to buy electric vehicles. You are really not sincere, are you? You don't even know the guy. I don't begrudge them, I don't begrudge Elon, but in all your sincerity with which you believe him to be the savior of our democracy, I will actually do my own research on the guy first.
