I give you examples.
I have some rules, really, first is to try to do the right thing, every time, two, if you are doing the right thing then try your hardest to do the job no matter the consequences, and three if you can not do the right thing because it is beyond your control or ability then move on to the next task, don't worry about it.
Oh, but I do worry, sometimes, have guilty feelings but I must keep moving, if I stay stuck on the impossible then nothing else will get done either.
So if you are squeamish, have a weak stomach, do not read the italics.
Back in 1977, I had just got my CPR instructors license, we were in the field and traveling back to the garrison for some supplies when we came upon an accident, few farmers were pushing a cart up an incline and the cart had slipped back, rolling over the chest of one of the farmers, we stopped to look at the situation and give aid, I walked up to the casualty and checked his pulse, his nails were turning black and he was spewing pinkish blood form his mouth, I asked if the ambulance had been called and asked for some blankets. I knew I could not move him or compress his chest as he had a crushed rib cage, I tilted his head back to get the air way open, cleared his mouth, and covered him with two blankets to keep him warm, I then gathered my squad and got them back in the truck , my job was done, time to go on.
I told you I have some goats, once some one gave me a goat to put up with my other goats since the owner of that goat, an elder lady had passed on, I put that goat with the others, next day that goat could not move since it was attacked by the other three and they had injured the new goat badly, I took the goat to the back and shot it, it was going to be saved, no I did not eat it.
And that brings us to today, two of my goats had babies yesterday, fine lil babies, the third still pregnant, today when I went to check, the third goat had a stillborn baby half hanging out, I watched for a half hour, nothing , then I took a short rope and tied it to the stillborn and pulled it out and took it out to the tree line and came back and helped the goat deliver the second baby, I am not a farmer, never been around such things but it was something that needed to be done or the goat would have died and so would have the second baby, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Why am I even telling you all of this? It is a lesson in life to, not all choices are pleasant, not all things are pretty, life is cruel, but you don't let bad things hold you back or make things worse.

I like the show, so random and so bizarre, you wonder if these people are real, yet they are close to real and not just in Portland either. Of course I am talking about the show, "Portlandia" it is funny and it cuts, it makes fun of us all, I love it.
So I dedicate this to Portlandia, think these over, this is who we are, I posted these random thoughts on my facebook, a couple I have manged to twitter also if the fit the word limit, some thing for you to think about. Check out the links too.
No doubt Sean, as we talked about it from day one, the US ends up being the big loser in the deal in the long run, and they can not pretend not to know to their public.
With the other events on going in the middle East, it is obvious to the nations that when the chips are down US will not hold up their end of the bargain, and "cut and run" opposite of our own promises and "adage". We need to make "friends" based on equality and mutual purpose, not as to take advantage of the other party.
The greatest cause for the failure of the Western societies in removing their master classes is that we have not yet been able to find any fault with ourselves, our behaviors, attitudes and beliefs.
SO! you still believe the shit about, " they hate us because of our freedoms and our riches".

A DATE WITH THE ARMAGEDDON VII
And talking about the money and buying of power, we have been no different than the monstrosities we have been supporting. In writings about our economy and culture I have shown how we have promoted and supported a dependent class. The welfare class that you and I both know about and despise and talk about.
I have also shown how we have used the welfare system to show that the unemployment is lower than it is and how the system has only transferred money ( that we do not have) from the government to the pockets of the rich.
One basic lesson here that we must always remember is this, that the money always rises to the top, and the rich get richer, another thing we need to remember also is that no matter the tax rates the rich will not get poor due to higher taxes, lower taxes only skew the system in the favor of the rich making it easier and faster to accumulate wealth.
The second lesson is this, as the difference between the rich and the poor grows, the poor must lose their human rights and be oppressed to preserve the privileges of the powerful, and the rich buy power by buying lawmakers and by supporting the security apparatus. Defense of a strong military, intelligence and police services becomes a matter of survival. One thing the TEA party has not yet learned. It was true even in the Soviet Union, is true today in North Korea too.
From there it is the question of who came first the chicken or the egg. To preserve and protect their powers the rich need the police, the security services, the body guards and must i tell you, the intelligence services, just in case you are up to no good.
We also know , and have now seen in action, that the oppressive regimes need strong and dependable militaries to protect and to serve them, in the long run the support of the regime itself becomes a matter of survival for these, so the powerful support the military and the military supports the status quo, no matter how corrupt and oppressive the regime gets.

A DATE WITH THE ARMAGEDDON VI
Now there are good people and bad people, good terrorists and the bad ones, good wars and bad wars, good murderers and bad murderers, good or bad not being an intrinsic value but as to what side you are on.
If you believe any one would learn a damn thing from these pictures of the unrest and killings, you have too much faith in the goodness of mankind, war is a business, people have been selling weapons to murderers forever, I have not seen any globalist threaten the Qaddafi regime, we do not have bombers flying over the Libyan capital to threaten their army, cause we are too busy supporting the butchers in Yemen and Baharain and other places doing the same thing to their people on our behalf.
For the past month and a half the markets kept moving up, only now with the oil supplies threatened and the oil jumping near ten dollars a barrell it seems that the will go down in the short run, not because of the bloodshed, but because of the threat to the oil supply. We see that people don't mind getting killed, so if happens similarly in Baharain and Saudis are in trouble too, it could trip the markets.
Curiously though, insanely may be, we don't see the similarity between whats happening in Baharain and Egypt and Libya and our own situation, even though it is the same thing. Of course you scratch your head and ponder a bit.
Go back to me theory that there is no money, but there is something that we can pass around and call it money.
For the past seventy years the Arabs ( and others too) have sold us oil, and it has been a good deal all around , they sold us oil and we sold them weapons, aircraft, whiskey, Chevrolet Caprices and blond pussy and young boys and girls, come now lets not be shy and get self righteous. We trained their militaries, militias and secret polices. We taught them how to torture and murder and get away with oppressing their own. These are not great secrets, everybody on the block has known this forever already, even the American public, they just chose to ignore it willingly. It was not all bad, not always, we showed them how to use money to buy power, have a strong and loyal military, a corrupt and inefficient bureaucracy, and also how to establish a dependent citizenry by giving them free money or subsidies.

A DATE WITH THE ARMAGEDDON V
One would think that I have lost my marbles, as if I ever had any.
The stocks are doing well, the oil is holding, the gold is down and there is an economic recovery afoot. The housing starts were up by sixteen percent, the bonds are holding and I am still whining,The freedom is spreading from Tunisia to the gulf fiefdoms, Iraqis are happy and Iranians are not, what else could I ask for?
It is odd times that we live in, ( it is always odd times), and it is bad times that we live in, (it is always bad times too. The state of Wisconsin is in a flux, many more will follow, the capitol hill is in a flux and will continue to be so, and the budget will never ever be balanced regardless of who is in power and you can not stop Bohener from crying.
Like I said before the budget cannot be balanced, and will not be and the people, both on the left and the right are up in arms, the right won't cut defense and lies about social security and medi-care cuts, and the left is crying that the poor will be hurt, but they will be hurt worse if the budget is busted, and interest rates and inflation both skyrocket with the unemployment to boot.
And there are no happy mediums, no winning card up anyone's sleeve, And as the "freedom" seems to come to our friends, it makes us look only worse, getting hard to buy new friends when they know you are broke. And the friends with money are suspicious.
It wasn't supposed to be like this, was it, no, that"s why we did not have plan B. We did not have plan B for the middle east either, what next?
As the middle east implodes and the walls tumble, it will obviously destabilize not only our friends but our economy, like I had said before, " how long can you tread water?".
To all, revolutions are a messy business, as are seeing now around the world, the Arabs killing the Arabs, and the Chinese are arresting people just in case, I am sure the murders and torture and false arrests are going on in many places already. It will behoove to know that most people are not better off at the end, many are much worse off. You do not recover funds from the rich, while many of their assets are reduced in value.

A DATE WITH THE ARMAGEDDON IV
And the Egyptian over throw their leader of thirty years, military takes control, Yemen and Algeria clamp down on dissent, things could yet get bloody, or may be I am just paranoid about the powerful trying to preserve their power and privileges.
And here we have Obama and the TEA party bent on cutting the deficit , see who ends up paying for the cut backs. Will the poor and the working class wake up and realize how they are being shafted.
Something back fired, but more on that in an minute. For long I have asked that when the government spends borrowed money ( creates deficits) that money goes in to someone's pocket, in our case it goes to the Chinese but still most of it ends up with the rich, so the money that government owes is in the accounts of some very rich people, so why not balance the budget by increasing taxes on the rich? But in this perverted world, saying this makes you a socialist or even a communist for speaking the truth. Unless the people of this country understand this we have no hope of saving the country.
I live near a military post, a waitress told me that her employer had told her if she voted for Obama, he will cut the military spending and she could lose her job, I told her that if she voted Republican they will take away her food stamps, so I don't know how she voted, but I do feel bad, now Obama may be the one to take away her food stamps. America is till ways from waking up.
It sounds a desultory talk, but connect the dots if you will. There is an uprising in Arab lands against corruption and abuse of the populace, could it come here? Could it happen here? May be not, but one should be thinking as if could.
We have all get used to the internet, to a facebook and twitter world, they are also blamed for the uprisings in Egypt and in Tunisia, what if Egypt had clamped down early on the internet? Not waited for two weeks before trying to shut down the access when it was already too later and the world media had arrived to watch the circus.
Much as it is hyped about, the internet does not feed anyone really, oh yes it has created some jobs, but it has also cost more jobs than it has created, do the numbers, many millions of jobs taken from the workers in the US and taken over seas, unemployment increased among the postal workers, the bank workers, store workers and on and on, it is actually starving people, and when you think the you can get stuff cheaper, then you must take in to the equation that if a Chinese is doing your job now and you have trained for a new career, then you are also working for less wages than you would have if the employment numbers were higher.
On the other hand, now the governments have been warned, the internet was supposed to be a toy to keep you amused and out of the way, now that the internet has been shown to be a problem for the rulers of the world, be ready for less access and more controls, may be via raised prices and higher charges for staying connected, it may be slow and gradual but it will happen soon.
to be continued.

A DATE WITH THE ARMAGEDDON III
02/11/2011
A DATE WITH THE ARMAGEDDON III
"Be careful what you wish for," so the old saying goes. It was never more appropriate than it is today.
We see Egypt and Tunis have over thrown their long time dictator, freedom is on the move, free enterprise is booming, the markets are recovering the world over and the recession is over and here I am being sorta negative again, if that does not put one off.
My contention is that the human psychology has not changed in the last ten thousand years, do we not still read the Bible, and the Koran and the Torah and the teachings of Buddha? Like I said, these are the stories from a long time ago, and still there are lessons to be gleaned from each. Your problem my friend is that you can not cross the river, because you are still holding on to the tree on one side of it and can not get across.
Conservative, liberal, Muslim, Christian or a Jew or a Buddhist, you are tied to whatever you believe in you are not free to think and thus you drown. You see, when a prisoner is let out after a long sentence, he is confused, and a freed slave without a source of sustenance will die of starvation, or need a new master.
In the United States the problem is the same as that of the newly free Egyptians and Tunisians, but we cannot see that.
Like I said, when the TEA party won, so what do you do now? That is the same question that the Egyptians face today, what now? And as I said on my facebook status, " A revolution just for the sake of a revolution ends up in a disaster. Revolutionaries must have a plan, some idea what to do with it when it has happened.
Just as the TEA party here has run and even won on promises they can never keep (without a certain and disastrous out come) the people of Egypt and Tunis have won (may be) freedom, but have no idea what is next.
We live in the age of money, and we know Egypt and Tunis are poorer now since their presidents and their elite have stolen most of it already, and a majority of it shipped to over seas accounts, both countries have also lost their tourist business and that will take time to recover also.
In the USA similarly now, the money is disappearing fast, no matter what the stock market does, no matter what the government says, with tax revenues cut, government borrowing cut, government spending cuts, job cuts, construction down, automotive sales down forty percent, what recovery are they talking about?
So in the same vane what will revolutionaries do? While the world goes broke, and the countries already are.

With the abject poverty and the illiteracy rampant through out most the Islamic world, the US has more to worry about the Islamic government leaders than their people. US is being played not just by the Pakistani government but the Saudis, ...the Egyptians and even the Iraqis and Karazai government in Afghanistan.
It would follow then that if we focused more on providing humanitarian aid to their people instead of propping up some crack pots and showing these people our military prowess we could do it cheaper and may be even make some friends. Vast majorities of Muslims in their own countries don't run around obsessing about killing Americans, but it would seem that many in US government and some even in public have an obsession about killing Muslims just in case.See More

A DATE WITH THE ARMAGEDDON II
I started this series with a few examples, the situations that we face, in the immediate and the long term. The future will be here, soon, with or without you .
On my facebook status today I posted this, " Through out history the rich never wanted the poor to have much or the oppressors wanted the oppressed to gain power. The slaves were not allowed to become educated. Thank goodness we live in a free country and choose to be powerless, poor, oppressed and ill educated." Know any one that fits this?
Here is another thing I posted today, " If you are one of those friends who is watching and worried about what's going on in the world, think about this. All the money we had was imaginary, created from thin air, now that money is disappearing, I talked about it in my series of articles " All roads lead to hell". It is happening and no one will or can stop it."
"All Roads Lead to Hell, " starts at the bottom of the page then read up
And if all of this is not enough then hers is one more, "Even as we see a world up in revolt, the American public in general and the youth more particularly is the least aware or prepared for the changes that are coming, most Americans think this will pass. please talk to your children, to the people you know, the world you are living in does not exist."
This morning, early, I made the following comment on the Facebook page of the truth out
"Sounds like that military will take over and The CIA torturer will declare marshal law and clear the protesters. The arrests and torture and murder of freedom seekers will continue and Obama and the US will say nothing. This the new face of democracy in the Islamic lands. This is how freedom will come to the middle east with the US blessing."
Am I being cynical, yes I have little faith in the goodness of human beings.

A DATE WITH THE ARMAGEDDON

A DATE WITH THE ARMAGEDDON
It's been almost five years, since I started my own blog here, instead of posting on the website of Slate.com.
My purpose was not to make a name for myself, but to educate the public about the realities of the world we live in today. I would have stayed nameless but for the google's programs that linked my names and identities to the point trying to stay anonymous was useless. I should have been more careful or computer savvy.
Regardless, my mission is still the same, to talk to anyone who would listen, may be I will save some one a lot of headaches, if they decide to pay attention.
Whether we realize it or not, (and many do not really wish to be bothered) the world is in a flux. What with the natural disasters, one following the other, the markets, the up coming financial crises (and no, the one you are seeing now is nothing), and the political upheavals just a prelude to the real problems that will try to take over the humanity and will test the human resolve to survive.
What we have seen so far in last few years is just a tip of the iceberg. We have yet to face real and greater challenges, economic, natural disasters and real political upheavals that are bloody and messy.
For a long period of time, there were two "great powers" in a cold conflict to dominate the world, one came out the loser not because we drove them in to poverty, but in realty because they did not get creative enough to create more money for their failing system. In turn we printed so much money that it gave our own self an illusion of greatness, an illusion of riches beyond any ones imagination, we had more imaginary money than anyone else.
I disgust you! I did not start to warn you yesterday, and you proved me right, you had endless wealth, you knew how to get rich and make everyone else rich at the same time, we were the greatest nation on earth ever. And we blew it.
I knew it, I knew it when I placed the caption under the banner of this blog, "IT IS NOT HOW I SAY YOU SHOULD LIVE, IT IS NOT HOW I WANT YOU TO LIVE, BUT THIS THE WAY YOU WILL LIVE", but we refused to change our way and became more stubborn, we denied reality. In the end the reality will always win over a false belief.
While we have an imaginary recovery going on, the delusion being promoted by our "elected" government to keep the peasants in their sleep, the country is losing the battle to stay on top around the world, we have been caught lying and caught red handed stealing. Our credibility lost and our friends don't know if they can trust us anymore, so we need be ready for a political paradigm shift also. In short the financial and political maps of the world have changed while most of the US is still asleep at the wheel.
What happens in Egypt will have grave consequences for the United States no matter where the chips shall fall. Whoever wins in Egypt, the US loses.
My friends will tell you, when the process started in Tunisia, I had said that if Tunis goes the Egypt will follow, I have been right so far, so far we do not have a good handle on Tunis situation even though we have the inside track, Egypt, however, is a different animal.
For all it is worth the situation in Tunis seems to have resolved peacefully, Egypt is still an on going story. From day one the "new" vice president of Egypt was outed as a American agent, a hired hand of the CIA, a torturer for money, an executioner without even the decency of wearing a mask or remaining anonymous.
This is the choice the United States has made, this is the chosen one, this is the butcher the United States wishes to be the next ruler over eighty million Muslims and Arabs, an ugly and shameless choice.
If the butcher of Al-Masr takes over, as the United States may wish, then all our facade of promoting democracy for the Muslim masses loses its last veneer, and we are left shamelessly and hopelessly naked on the world stage, worse, the butcher could decide to mow down a few hundred right in front of cameras of Al-Jazira, and arrest a few thousand more just to make his point and Ms. Clinton could find herself in a awkward position trying to explain to the world why such was a necessary step in the direction of freedom and democracy.
We can not really allow the Muslims to take over their own countries can we? Like I mentioned earlier about Obama's choice of Egypt as a gateway to the Arab and Muslim hearts, they must be used to getting slapped around, or so Obama thought.
But we face a financial and unemployment crisis of our own. If financial corruption and huge numbers of the unemployed were at the root cause of the uprising in Egypt then how far we are from the similar unrest? Should we also worry?Apparently our financial mavens and the industrialists and politicians are just as unaware as the Egyptian gods were the day the walls came tumbling down.
On the face of it the Egyptians enjoyed "some freedoms", they could drink, watch soap operas and belly dancing and stuff, they were not being beaten for not going to prayers, and with good connections you could get real contracts and make money if you promised a bit of kick back ( just like here right).

THE AFTER BIRTH OF THE US POLICY IN EGYPT
http://www.truth-out.org/pogrom-cairo-where-was-obama67438
A lesson that the US government refuses to learn, again and again, is that when you are playing with snakes, once in a while you are going to get bit, and if true, then US government has been bit a thousand times already yet it blindly refuses to accept this reality.
From the day one of the Tunisian uprising I had said to my friends on facebook that if Tunisia goes then Egypt will follow, wonder why the CIA did not catch it, the stupid mother seller ( If one's country is also called his mother land then why US keeps friends that would sell their own mothers.) Mubarak refused to accept this reality also.
here is another comment from facbook on the 2d of Feburary

Razavi Obama an the world turned their backs, Obama did not ask the American patsy to leave, he understood the game plan the fix is in the CIA goon has been named the vice president, and Hosni can leave with his money, after the freedom seekers have been taught a lesson, the goon takes over and the freedom seekers are quashed.Yesterday at 9:06pm · · 2 people'
The sad but the sick truth is that the US never took charge of the situation , or did not want to just in case Mubarak was able to quash his detractors we would still be in his good graces

Mubarak is not the only thieve among the world leader, nor the only bribe taker, just look at how our own leaders are earning money, in their "blind trusts" and how they are paid millions in "book advances" and speaking fees, then you will see there are many ways to get in to the till."
Things were still going our way, Mubarak had installed a phoney vice president, an agent of our own , a CIA goon, a murderer and a torturer trained and most probably approved by us
