WHO IS? ON FIRST!

Be careful, I have used the title to deceive you. If you look at the numbers of my readers, you will see I have few. My blog is not designed for the average person, I have said this much before. I do not write about me, in pornographic terms to make my life look more exciting than it is. I do not bore you about my lousy dates, I am married. I do talk about things that may be deemed of worth if one had a functioning brain that could differentiate worthwhile and worthless, I talk about life.

So I thought the matter has been settled. I mean about GOD, and religion, but somehow we always come back to the same point. So if you have not yet read my expose' "Beyond a stupid God, and the Immortal man",
http://tombstone001.blogspot.com/2006/09/beyond-stupid-god-and-immortal-man.html
then may be you should also read there.

The question is who has the right religion, some people have asked me if I am a Muslim, and others have asked me if I am a Muslim at all. Then I was called in on the carpet by my Masonic lodge to say that I believed in a deity at least, story of my life.

So there are numerous religions, on of them must be better than all the rest, right? But which? Most religions that have or had more than one God just had a super God, Krishna or Zeus or whatever. The greatest problem comes when you belong to one of the monotheist religions, who claim to believe in the same God, but a God that has trouble making up his own mind.

So if you are a Jew, you are one of the God's chosen ones, no doubt, even Christians admit to that, but then again if you are a Christian and believe that God himself came to your rescue (but then he left you to your own troubles without fixing a damn thing), and if you happen to be born in a Muslim family in a Muslim country then Hallelujah, you are follower of Mohammed and all your sins are absolved, you can be corrupt, take bribes, steal from orphans you can not do any wrong, well so do the others so what makes you so special.

I had previously talked about how one can become "brainwashed" in to a religion, not intentionally mind you it is just part of growing up and family. do we not always see young children hugging and gripping an old toy or a blanket tightly, it hard to keep an open mind when you are talking about your faith.

One can always say that the Hindu belief that the cow is holding the earth on its horns is disproven, but do we not believe in angels that need wings for travel through space, or that the stars are actually holes in the fabric of heavens and the light shines through from the other side. Or that the meteors are burning fires thrown from heavens at the unauthorized and evil beings and spirits.

"Leviticus 1

1And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

3If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD." Does this not sound like a sacrifice made by some idol worshiping cult?

or this one, "

Leviticus 3

1And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.

2And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.

3And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

4And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away." which has much in common with Wicca rituals. or just read, "Numbers 5".

Is there a "GOD", most likely there is one, but we can not deny that with the passage of time, and increase in human knowledge, the monotheistic religions have evolved also and became more detailed.

Many among the Muslims believe that they have to kill the non-believers, but here is a quote from the Koran, "

[2.62] Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve" I suppose therefore that many Jews and Christians will be there along with some of the Muslims right there at the right hand of God in heavens.

And here is how the God of Koran resolves the discussion between the Jews and the Christians, "[2.113] And the Jews say: The Christians do not follow anything (good) and the Christians say: The Jews do not follow anything (good) while they recite the (same) Book. Even thus say those who have no knowledge, like to what they say; so Allah shall judge between them on the day of resurrection in what they differ.
And also a message for those in Islam that wish to kill everyone to God's job, " 2.216] Fighting is enjoined on you, and h is an object of dislike to you; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know."" so much for that lil ole Jihadi feeling.

In the end as to "Who is on first?", there is the story of Cain and Abel, common to all three monotheistic faiths, where in Cain murders Abel because he thinks that God favored Abel since the lightning devoured the offering of fruits from Abel, ( does it not sound more like nature worship) there is a message in that story, you do not win favors with God by killing those you do not like, whatever the reason, it does not bring you closer to God.
