RESTORING HONOR
YOU MAY READ THIS AS A CONTINUATION OF THE PREVIOUS ARTICLES ALSO
I wanted to call it something like " Mr. Beck goes to Washington", but hey, there is no comparison here. Mr. Smith though a fictional character was actually a decent human being with no hidden agenda, he did not talk in circles, and was open about what he meant. Mr. Beck on the other hand is either shamelessly being coy, or worse does know what the hell he is talking about. If a lot a good people did show up for the rally, then it only proves that a lot of people are upset with the situation of the country and looking for some one to save them, Mr. Beck should not be very impressed with him self or his partner Sarah Palin, it is the same kind of Americans who elected Obama, only on the other side of the fence, the electorate is similarly ill informed on both sides and looking for a Messiah, any one claiming to be the one will do.
Now that Mr. Beck and Sarah Palin have had their rally, what did they say? was i right? Are you more clear about "honor", and what is expected of you from here on out?
Honor is a construct that means what you want to make it mean. In some Muslim societies, men are known to kill their daughters, wives, sisters and mothers for talking to a stranger, is that where we are going? In some societies revenge killing is a matter of honor, see Hatfield's and McCoy's. Then there is the tradition of dueling, I guess we could go for that. Or may be even tar and feathers if you like. But I do not think that is what Beck et all mean.
So what are we left with,

A MOSQUE IN MANHATTAN
Let's start with a simple question, say you are driving a car and come up to a red light, you stop, the light turns green and you look to your left, and you look to your left and there is a semi, a hundred yards away seemingly doing sixty miles per hour, do you still have the right of way?
I have few rules in life, a major one being, " Do not create "stuff", where "stuff"does not already exist. I hope you can figure that one out on your own too., I am not being helpful , am I?
Basically the answer is very simple, we are a free country with a guarantee of religious freedom, so the Muslims can build a mosque where they wish, problem solved, but the life is never this simple, you would know if you are old enough though.
I DO PUBLISH A COPY OF THIS BLOG AT ANOTHER SITE, TIME TO TIME I ALSO MAKE REFERENCE TO IT OR TO WHAT WAS SAID THERE!
It was not my intention to start a new controversy, but the reaction is predictable, and angry, but ok.Pleas rest assured I AM NOT advocating for a mosque in Manhattan, far from it, but I do want everyone to look at their own self and their feelings, As I said in the start of my book, look at the man in the mirror.
So the question must be where do these feelings come from, and how to handles them.
But let me talk to the Muslims first, not like they do on the talk radio or the right wing blogs, but real questions for real Muslims, in the name of peace.
Forget about 9/11 if you ever can for a minute, Do you suppose God gives Muslim men seventy- two virgins in heaven, do you really believe that?
What are you doing to improve the lot of non Muslims in your own country, ( where ever you came from). Started a letter writing campaign, ask your friends, fun raising? what?
There is no making one religion above another, so why you always ask for special rights for the people of your own religion.
Is the sharia law better than the American Constitution, would you like to impose sharia law or even try to say it is better than the constitution.
Just stay on topic, don't go off on tangents like the talk radio hucksters are doing.
As any thirteen year old knows, you don't ask mom and dad for increase in allowance, or for new cell phone when they arguing over money.
As it happens, among other things, like the election of Obama, or the health care mess, the budget deficit, we are in a "recession", money is tight and the jobs are being lost as fast as the people are losing their homes. The stuff has hit the fan. For thirty years or more, we have been living on borrowed monies, and borrowed time. I have detailed this mess for many years, chronicling the miss steps of the Democrats, and Yes the Republicans also. Right now we can not even find our way out of this mess and there is no end in sight. Today Glenn Beck is holding a rally of something or another, about "restoring honor" he says, as if honor is something we have lost, have we? Really now, how many of you are considering yourselves to be dishonorable??????And if you are , is Mr. Beck is going to restore it and how?
I know what he means, like not having a tax cheat for our secretary of treasury for example, or not making a whore monger like Elliot Spitzer a news commentator, or Newt Gingrich who took divorce papers to his cancer stricken wife, or elevating another whore monger like Dick Morris, or honoring Rush Limbaugh who had his house maid shop for prescription pain killer. Well we ARE talking about honor are we not. But we listen to all of these for advice, corruption in the system swings both ways here. I will not discusses the personal morality or responsibility of the individuals of our nation, I have talked about it at length already elsewhere. NO I do not have book you can buy to make you feel better about yourself by blaming others for the decline of this country, while it makes me rich.
Any way while we are, all sides, busy blaming each other for our problems, the Muslims step in to this mess wanting this that and the other, and the mosque in Manhattan is only one item on the list of DEMANDS. Well, Good Luck! You know you are starting some crap.

we are forcing young people to grow up earlier and earlier, more particularly to mature sexually.As young people get involved in sex,they become less interested in everything else, to include their education. And then it is not just texting, it is computer networking, web caming, and all the rest. Many more families than ever before are dysfunctional and piecemeal, not whole or wholesome, the resultant cost to the individual and the society is immense, mean while the psychologists, and educators are mum if not out right enablers of bad behaviors

WATCHING THE WHEELS

WATCHING THE WHEELS
Let me admit first that I sometimes chose titles of these posts from familiar phrases or titles that you may be familiar with to catch your attention and may be to get you interested in looking at these posts. I used the same method in naming my poems.
Back in 1981 "Watching the Wheels" became my favorite songs, I could relate to it well, but I am also living a day to day life which is very involved (the reason for my sometimes rushed, sometime rambling posts). So I can't just say that I am only watching the wheels. I do watch the wheels, and I watch the connections, I watch the minute changes, and I look for the "butterfly effects", not kidding.
You would notice how I relate things, one to the other to the other, in that I am so much unlike a talk show host that keeps repeating one thing and one thing only as if all of the world's wrongs and ailments have a singular cause and a singular result, I am not that dumb.
I am like a lab worker that is watching a cancer grow in a petri dish, knowing the dangers of the cancer, knowing not much he can or will do to stop the natural process, knowing the dangers, knowing the damage the cancer can do, trying to be careful and to immunize himself against the organism, all the time that the cancer is as much a part of his world as he himself is, neither can be eradicated by a simple salve. Knowing that he can not just simply remove himself from the process.
In a way my life is at an impasse, I know I can not do very much to change the things, the natural progression of things, but I also feel obligated to keep screaming, keep yelling and to keep informing others of the dangers of this cancer, and I have no interested audience. So my whole life is a sham in so many ways.
Years ago I had mentioned that the only thing I learned from my Calculus classes was that even a minute change in one perimeter is capable of making vast changes in the equation, in the out come, thus I have spent years connecting dots, seeing relationships, "The Interconnectedness of Things". So no large wonder that I would be looking at the relationship between school kids dating and the falling grades, or the sexual freedom and the murder rates.
Today, many in this country are focused not on the problems of unemployment, and how we got to this point, but on the race of the president, and not on how this problem was created and that it will take a long time for us to get out of this mess, if ever. We are to forget the polices and the scams of the last thirty years or so.
I had been warning of the consequences of the policies of our government, but most of us were so busy "getting rich" that we failed to realize we were getting screwed, even up until the last days of the Bush (W) presidency, now every thing that is wrong is being dumped in the lap of the current administration. If we as a country are marching towards socialism the path was already carved under the prior regimes, you just did not know it. AMERICA WAS SET UP FOR A FAILURE, and I had been telling you this.

Muslim prayers welcome at Pentagon chapel

here, In America, some think that only if we had school prayer and did not have abortion this country would have no more problems,. I wish I could tell them, if your sixteen year old is "dating" no amount of school prayer will save their virginity, not school prayer not public be headings, will make people live a moral life, and no amount of prayer will stop a disaster. They have Taliban, and we have white superamists , black panthers, AND KKK, PLUS A THOUSAND at the ready.

If the Republicans, The TEA party, and the Right understood the situation, they would have said, oh yes, let the Muslims do what they want and then we will come back and try to pus our own agendas( creationism, school prayer, denying abortions, etc) in the name of religious freedoms, and the freedom of speech, too bad they were not quite as smart and blew it, I hope it is too late for that , and the Muslims will understand and back off NOW, without making much more of and ass of their selves, the door swings both ways!
Right now, it would be more appropriate to use the hundred million to try to help the flood victims that to build a monument to a GOD, surely the God would rather you help his people, that is the message of all the books, you could hold the prayers and the meetings in a tent if you wanted to. Surely if a god was worried about pretty buildings, or barbecue (ok, burnt offerings), he could get his own plate.

One of the dumbest, ( among many) that psychology has pushed on this nation, is that all babies should be standardized, or are in fact standard. They are not, not all three year olds are willing to sit in a place for any length of time. Thus they are considered ADHD. Many poor and black families are sold on the idea of a crazy check and everyone makes money, the family, the school, the psychologist. The same psychologist that are convinced that humans are not capable of monogamy (no matter the cost to society. cannot comprehend that some kids my be predisposed to being out in the fields chasing butter flies at three, or five or six) and may not be willing to believe till later. there is much more

DESPAIR

HERAT: The Taliban publicly flogged and then executed a pregnant Afghan widow by emptying three shots into her head for alleged adultery, police said on Monday.
If you are like me, you are disgusted, of course, the whole idea is patently sick. Or is it?
The picture above is not the picture of the incident itself, and I know some in Taliban have even denied that it happened, but it could have, it is not past the Taliban justice.
Yet look at this scene, how proud we are that we are not like them, we don't do things like this, this is not how justice should be, no God will allow this, then look at us, and look below, ignorance of man has no boundaries.
This was also called justice, and if you think we are past it, think again, look at the percentage of our country men who believe that torture is all right, of course they are criminals, aren't they? And so we justify torture for our safety's sake. And were not the black men danger to to our wives and daughters, and our system? Just as a fornicating Afghan woman is a danger to their values and society.
Let me assure you first that if she was a widow of 35, she was raped by someone in the Taliban it self, or the poor woman had to turn to prostitution to feed her kids, that is the truth of the society there, poor women are either raped by the powerful, ( even some one with as little power as a local beat cop), and the poor women are raped in this country, by cops, and judges and lawyers, just not to as large a degree as there may be, or may be more, if a woman is lose she could cut a deal in trade for sex, we are all humans only.
We in the West feel morally superior to to the others like the one's in the third world countries, but what is our responsibility in acts of the nations we are friends with, the regimes we support, like Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Columbia and Egypt, not to mention Israel, but of course they are only torturing the Arabs.
Try on this scene, you send money to help a Pakistani charity organization, then tomorrow the homeland security, state department or any of the other one hundred US intelligence organizations declares that charity a supporter of terrorism. People in Black out fits come to your house and knock down your door in the middle of the night , they don't tell you why and tell your family not to ask any questions, you know now that it is being done to keep you safe in America, under the patriot Act so you don't say anything, Just keep imagining where it is going, welcome to the new USA.
The basic truth is this, that in there zeal to fight the terrorist, the United States has become a police state, while we pay lip service to human rights, and freedom and democracy, we are torturing our "enemies" holding them without trial or even charges, we are trying child soldiers, we are "rendering" our "enemies to foreign governments for torture and running "black prisons" and prisons" outside the reach of the US constitution or the world court at Guantanamo, Bagram, Diego Garcia, Hungry and more. In the war on terrorism the whole world is a prison for the United States.

MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL
The story line goes that the queen wanted an answer that would please her, so the mirror would lie and tell her how pretty she looked. Back in 2003, I also wrote that the Americans could not handle criticism of the country and her policies. Today the internet provides us with a venue for only the opinions that please us, but there is a down fall to this phenomenon.
Narcissism is a trait that suits a three year old perfectly, as we mature we have to be able to face an opposing point of view, to be able to handle criticism, to be able to adjust our demands to the reality, to take responsibility for our actions and even inaction. This is maturity.

Ignorance
Night after night, and the day time too, the liberal media of this country has an on going peep show going on called entertainment. From the poor Michael Jackson interviews, to big brother, the Osborne, the Batchelor and the best thing to come out of Texas recently, by far, the Anna Nicole show. Our minds are numbed by senseless exploitation of the hapless of the society. People by the millions tune in, and like the Romans of the yore enjoy the public carnage while we try to forget, or are totally unaware of the moral and the economic demise of our nation.
Where are we headed as a democracy? While we hang on the cliches of the greatness of our country and its place in history, we constantly ignore the current trends and forget that the future of us (US) does not depend on our history alone ,but upon our actions and in actions as a people today.
A vast majority of the so called informed bunch, has never picked up a history book, or studied an economic thesis, traveled well or even listened to others with opinions contrary to their own. Our opinions are formed not on the basis of our own experience or research, but on the second hand information given to us by our so called "leaders" and the talk show hosts who must know all. The reasoning being that they must have attained their positions by their innate knowledge and experience, and thus being absolved of any responsibility to do the hard work of a democracy, the independent study and acquiring of knowledge.
Remembering that if you only listen to the people that you agree with, you only show your lack of intelligence, judgment and maturity.
Let me assure you, from someone who has been there, the greatest threat to our democracy and the economy is the ignorance of our populace, and our stubborn refusal to learn the facts.

DO WE REALLY NEED MORE KIDS
Social security will support itself if the masters in this country were willing to pay a living wage, instead of globalizing and sending real jobs over seas. Instead of promoting consumption, we would be supporting saving the planet and education, consumerism and conservation can not co exist. Just as the technology is making more and more jobs disappear or shifted over seas as the unemployment number are showing already and there is no recovery. As the government is going broke the ultra rich keeping taking that money and are hording it, to what avail I do not know, but may to own the country itself.More children have no fathers around and the fathers do not pay child support because current lifestyle and wage structure does not allow sane men to take care of their progeny, more and more irresponsible people are making more babies which are burden on the state and welfare systems.
Countries do not run and policies can not be made according to wishful thinking, we can not force people to get more and better educated no matter how much money we say we are going to spend, money that does not exist and must be made up , or we could increase taxes, RIGHT! we do not need more babies, citizens, we need to have fewer and better quality, some on welfare should be paid NOT to have kids.

Whether inflation or deflation the future US looks more and more like a third world country with higher and higher unemployment, and many more ultra rich. With a predicted victory for the Republicans in the mid term election and their call for balancing the budget on the backs of the poor (doing away with the so called social net, and unemployment benefits), tax cuts for the rich and handing over the social security to the vultures of the private banking industry.

PREDICTING THE FUTURE IV
IT IS NOT HOW I SAY YOU SHOULD LIVE, IT IS NOT HOW I WANT YOU TO LIVE, BUT THIS THE WAY YOU WILL LIVE
Back in June I had started writing about the future under the same title but the circumstances delayed the completion of the series.
If you read the title of my blog then you will understand that in many of the statements I make not just talking about the present, it is also how I see the future will be. And the statement below about connecting the dots is also very important, everything in life is connected so every step you take or the politicians take, every policy of the government as effects far beyond what the intention of the rules or the laws may have been.
Many today blame the housing bubble and the following crash on the government policy of promoting home ownership no matter how cursory the connection may have been. An honesty person will say well if the government wanted poor to own homes surely it did not mean the the policy promoted flipping houses and multimillion dollar sub divisions, but many in the media are saying it and getting away with it and many fools are ready to believe them too. All religions, by definition are exclusionary, they must by default claim superiority over all others. No religion could survive by stating it is equal to all or any other, must promise a status not given to any other.
The Jewish claim to be the "God's" chosen one is no different than the Christian faith of only "Him" being the way is no different than the claim of Mohammed to be the last prophet.
An Islamic center, by definition will be a place for the Islamist propaganda, they will not claim that Islam is equal to or just like anyother no matter the claim to a different mission or agenda.
Any facility that talks about a law or a legal system that is against the US constitution, or is designed to promote such is by definition out side the bounds of constitutional protections.

We have become a people akin to a dog chasing its tail. China's economy is slowing down
OK. the manufacturing is, but it is the same thing is it not? But here is something to think about,
China's growth depends on the US consumer spending, US consumer spending depends on the US government spending herself in to oblivion. Thus China's growth is dependent on the US government going broke. Then all will be equal and will set the stage for one world government, OH, that was the plan wasn't it?
So are we or are we not being set up for a one world government.
We would like to save the earth and conserve energy, is it even possible in a consumer economy?
Once again the reasons I keep referring you to these previous articles is that ! it is not something new that just popped up iun my head, I have been thinking about these things, and 2 that you should be able to see my reasons for what I am saying.

Have you been watching the news, buying the tabloids, are you waiting for the wedding pictures or to find out who was there and what did they eat. Well, well, well, isn't it what the slaves are supposed to do any way? The king Clinton and his party took over a whole American town and barred the slaves from the vicinity.Helicopters and planes hovered over head to provide security for the elite, while you waited in soup line or in the unemployment line.
I am not jealous and this is not sour grapes, but how is it that like in Saudi Arabia, the royalty is above the average bottom feeders. What power, what exclusivity, what democracy?What money.
It is a known fact that in third world countries, everyone is bribed, everyone is taking and paying bribes, everyone is being done favors and buying favors, so how are we any different? I am not making it up, all the media is calling them the American royalty, and you thought you live in a free country ( by definition the king owns his country).
We are not ready for a true democracy, we still worship glamor and fancy. Did the kings and queens not impress the oppressed by implied opulence and pomp and circumstance. We are still looking up to the powerful, may be a bad day to give the examples of the poor Monica Lewinsky and Chandra Levy who "sucked up" to the power, we are nation of these type. There was an article in the New York Times after the Obama inauguration that women were dreaming about having sex with Obama
I guess then even in our dreams we love getting screwed.

Hello again!
Freedom's just another word with nothing left to lose.
In this blog at various points, I have discussed poverty and its consequences, and I have also discussed what we Euphemistically call sexual freedom. I have talked about the so called financial freedom extensively, and sexual freedom at great lengths too.
I have tried to show a connection between the so called sexual freedom, sexual revolution and the economic down fall. What with two income families, increase in spending power ( greed) and the bankruptcy epidemic that was already evident before the banking, real estate collapse. And the cost in dollars and cents of this sexual freedom.

This along with freedoms is something they don’t know about. In years past you could build a house and as long as it was for personal use you didn’t have to pull permits or get it inspected it was your land and your head that the thing was going to fall on if you didn’t do it right but laws that where only for companies got but on the individual until we are treated as such. So you have it right to a point but if it is the type of poverty you speak of I see no way of giving them hope except to tell them to go and try and set up there own place if Mexico isn’t good to you go some where and set up your own country and run things your own way I actually had a neighbor do this set up his own town got it declared and everything, so why not." I had been writing about predicting the future, sadly though most people are either not interested that much, or worse they have their collective heads stuck in the sand too far.
If you are a frequent visitor to this page, and I know that not many are, still I wonder if you have ever referred anyone else to this page, ever wonder why with all of this going on in the world, why should you even bother learning what I have to say in my crazy rants. And if you think I have something worth listening to, something that I was right about, would you tell others?
I do have a message, and if any one had listened to me then , fifteen years ago, we would not be here. But I understand , really do. I don't believe in your God, I don't believe your philosophies, I am not in your political party, don't believe in your fiscal or monetary theory, and don't worship your political idols, so it is O.K. I am O.K. with it.
Any way, where will the next shoe drop?
It is not just what is going on in the USA that matters anymore, but we are in to self indulgence, may be even some self pity. Self pity being the more evident. Not just Blacks complaining about the past of slavery, or Mexicans illegals wondering about their jobs, the middle class America that was fooled in to believing that it was their birth right to be slackers and live like millionaires are now whining that their dreams have been stomped upon.They want drill baby drill, they want government to a lot them the contracts ( that would not be a hand out?) but lower their taxes and balance the budget, GET REAL!
What will this country look like if the government keeps borrowing ( liberal plan to destroy the country) until the economy kicks back in ( ain't happenin), but what will this place look like, if we did away with social security, medicare/ medicaid, food stamps, the education department (teachers too), the FDA, blabla, can you say Mahicoo?

While most people have been worried about inflation, the deflation scenario is just as bad if not worse, with the current debt of the US at "13 trillion, yes I know it is a lie and a joke" and a stalling or slow economy, the taxes will have to rise fast to keep up with the payments on the debt, all thought the interest rates are about three percent (10 year treasuries), more taxes will have to be extracted from a lower or constant GDP, thus removing incentive and the ability to invest, how we get out of this is any one's guess, the FED and the congress surely do not and, ( no we can not go back to the days of when the constitution was written, with all the indentured slavery and poll taxes, and rights of the property owners above the rights of the have nots, or can we?) , from the CNN Money, Buzz""
We must understand the the religious division in Pakistan and the drug wars in Mexico are the same, and then you will see the we are going down the wrong path ourselves. The Pakistani "religious" wars and the Mexican drug wars are both about money, political power and the control of the resources, and if you look at the American divisions today they are not as much about Democrats and Republicans, their roots are also about political power, money and control of resources, a scary thought indeed.
If you look at the suicide bombers, or look at the Mexican drug gang members both are easily willing to die for very little in return, they have nothing to loose, and their societies brought them both to this point, poverty, lack of education, lack of opportunity, and more than anything else, lack of power to do anything about their miserable condition. We as a society are pushing our own members in to these dark corners.

I had been writing about predicting the future, sadly though most people are either not interested that much, or worse they have their collective heads stuck in the sand too far.
If you are a frequent visitor to this page, and I know that not many are, still I wonder if you have ever referred anyone else to this page, ever wonder why with all of this going on in the world, why should you even bother learning what I have to say in my crazy rants. And if you think I have something worth listening to, something that I was right about, would you tell others?
I do have a message, and if any one had listened to me then , fifteen years ago, we would not be here. But I understand , really do. I don't believe in your God, I don't believe your philosophies, I am not in your political party, don't believe in your fiscal or monetary theory, and don't worship your political idols, so it is O.K. I am O.K. with it.
Any way, where will the next shoe drop?
It is not just what is going on in the USA that matters anymore, but we are in to self indulgence, may be even some self pity. Self pity being the more evident. Not just Blacks complaining about the past of slavery, or Mexicans illegals wondering about their jobs, the middle class America that was fooled in to believing that it was their birth right to be slackers and live like millionaires are now whining that their dreams have been stomped upon.They want drill baby drill, they want government to a lot them the contracts ( that would not be a hand out?) but lower their taxes and balance the budget, GET REAL!
What will this country look like if the government keeps borrowing ( liberal plan to destroy the country) until the economy kicks back in ( ain't happenin), but what will this place look like, if we did away with social security, medicare/ medicaid, food stamps, the education department (teachers too), the FDA, blabla, can you say Mahicoo?

Like I have been saying whether you follow the Republican plan or the Democratic plan, the country is destroyed and the result is the same.
As the country is being divided (in the name of unity of course) the fault lines between the left and the right, the liberal and conservative, the rich and the poor, White and Black, Christian (Baptist) and every one else, keep getting deeper and deeper. If you have never seen a country break up you may just be looking at one, living in one

SAVE THE NAUGA II
Now then, you are saying how it all relates to the reality of where we are? What I have been writing and why? But once again, look at the bottom of these posts, everything is connected, every thing I have been saying is connected. From the "God Syndrome" to the economic failures to saving the oil covered birds in the gulf, to the rise of religious fundamentalism, they are all related, all in continuum, one to the other to the other.
Of course there were never any Nauga there, it was all a hoax. Naugahyde was a form of Vinyl covered fabric with a look of leather, yet there were people by the thousands, tens of thousands willing to save the "Nauga's hyde". We are full of it, or at least full of good intentions whatever the reason.
Germans have a word for it, "selbstbefriedigung" look it up, it is an act where by you are not going to accomplish anything, but yet it feels good while you are doing it. Congress and the president when making laws have it a a guide, the laws are sometimes totally useless and meaning less but they feel good to have. anti abortion laws, anti sex toys acts, anti prostitution acts, banking reforms, drug control laws, FDA regulations, anti pollution tax, are all examples, and I could yet fill pages upon pages of these laws. IN the same vain you saw people moping the oil from the gulf beaches. In this same vain, we are talking about the green jobs while the country is heading in to a depression due to the federal deficits and the citizenry that is accustomed to living beyond its means.
