When Obama, Hillary, Hannity, Limbauagh and Palin agree on same something you know, the country is in danger, the liberty is dead and you are screwed .
For Julian Assange, owner of Wikileaks, life has gotten very serious…but not until he said his website would release information on a mega-BANK in the USA!
There was no problem with multiple war leaks over Afghanistan.
There was no problem with multiple war leaks over Iraq.
There was no problem with Israel/flotilla leaks & video.
However, as soon as a bank may be exposed – all hell breaks loose!

Interpol issues a global manhunt for founder Assange.

Besides and aside what has been said in the cables (E-mails) and however important or secretive it may be , the truth remains that the Untied States of America in her urge to stay on top has befriended many an unsavory character. We don't care if the person is a murderer, a sell out to his own nation and people, a thief, torturer, human rights abuser long as the person and his connections serve our means and needs. We have knowingly embraced some pretty shady characters. As mama used to say, you are recognized by the company you keep, and that the bad company will rub off on you, the Untied States today, and many others also so called democracies are acting just like a bunch of third world fiefdoms, with their threats against wikipedia and Assange, with threats of assassination, prosecution and out right assaults on the web site. Is that who we are now, another third world country that can not handle the truth to come out in the light. I see all these self righteous patriots come out of the wood work now, where were you when they took away the first amendment ( freedom of speech) the second amendment, (right to bear arms) and the fourth amendment (protection from unreasonable search and seizure) and called it all patriotism? What national secrets are revealed besides that we are in the company of a bunch of crooks whom we don't like or they don't like us. Wake the hell up, it may be too late already to save the country any way, when the persons are not free the country is not either. Stop the jingoism and face reality.

Watching the U.S. And all the other governments going thru all these contortions, while none saying anything bad the ruling classes of one another is proof positive that the democracy is dead and that the world has been taken over by a bunch of thieves who are only trying to hide their collective behinds. This the New World Order, they told us about, and welcome to the new Communism.
Wikileaks must stay underground out of necessity. As we see already the "pious" governments are trying to hunt down Assage, on trumped up charges as at the same time some misguided lovers of freedom and democracy are asking for his head. What Amazon and paypal have done is nothing less than a slap in the face of Democracy, freedom and open government. These are the the kind of actions that we chide Iran and Mynamar for, until it is out turn. The actions of the US government mirror the actions of Mynamar in case of Aung San Suu Kyi and of Iran in case of Shirin Ebadi and of China in case of Liu Xiaobo , none of these governments want the truth to come out, and now the US is in the same league. Shame on those who are offended by the truth, no matter who is behind the leaks.

If this were happening in Iraq right now, you know they wouldn't stop until Assange was dead, the sites deleted and the servers that he ran the sites from were dropped into a vat of molten steel to assure the destruction of any "diplomatic cables" and the plugging of the "Leak".

thanks you so much for your brilliant response, in your own way you have agreed with everything I said or meant to say here, the silly knees jerk Republican defenders of freedom have seem to lost their bearing, freedom of information, first amendment and threatening those who speak out and tell the real story do not mix. The U.S government has been doping its people for far too long in the name of protecting freedoms while taking away the same freedoms in the name of security, we will only be secure when we embrace the truth, and the knowledge.

the politicians are sending young men and women to die , for what? think about it, it is not wikileaks causing them to die, it is the politicians and those who are running their private armies, in the United States, look in to it, private armies and private police are in the US, right now! and making money from the tax payers.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, I Want It Now, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim
