A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE FUTURE, part 2
It sickens me to think where we are headed, yet most of us have no clue, no desire even to know, the goats, waiting for the day of the slaughter, while they play in the pasture and constantly try to hump each other.
Yet you see the stock market rising and the dollar trying to rally each day, as if, as if, as if the tomorrow will never come. And someone does predict that the world will end tomorrow and no one cares. I do not believe that the world will end tomorrow, but the future of course has ended already, like Nero we play the fiddle.
It has been my contention, (one of the reasons I got away from the practice of Psychology is that I have no empathy for the stupid, the other being that a lot of the people practicing psychology are stupid in my estimation) that if you watch much of TV you adopt the morals and mores of the shows you are watching, you try to become like the people on the shows that you watch, children and grown ups alike are influenced by their favorite shows. The psychologists should have caught on to this, no so subliminal programming of the masses but they have kept quiet and committed malpractice en masse.
What's good for the police apparently isn't good for the people -- or so the law enforcement community would have us believe when it comes to surveillance.
