PONDERLANDIA II

PONDERLANDIA II

I give you examples.

I have some rules, really, first is to try to do the right thing, every time, two, if you are doing the right thing then try your hardest to do the job no matter the consequences,  and three if you can not do the right thing because it is beyond your control or ability then move on to the next task, don't worry about it.

Oh, but I do worry, sometimes, have guilty feelings but I must keep moving, if I stay stuck on the impossible then nothing else will get done either.

So if you are squeamish,  have a weak stomach, do not read the italics.

Back in 1977, I had just got my CPR instructors license,  we were in the field and traveling back to the garrison for some supplies when we came upon an accident, few farmers were pushing a cart up an incline and the cart had slipped back, rolling over the chest of one of the farmers,  we stopped to  look at the situation and  give aid, I walked up to the casualty and checked his pulse, his nails were turning black and he was spewing pinkish blood form his mouth, I asked if the ambulance had been called and asked for some blankets. I knew I could not move him or compress his chest as he had a crushed rib cage,  I tilted his head back to  get the air way open, cleared his mouth, and covered him with two blankets to keep him warm, I then gathered my squad and got them back in the truck , my job was done, time to go on.

I told you I have some goats, once some one gave me a goat to put up with my other goats since the owner of that goat, an elder lady had passed on, I put that goat with the others, next day that goat could not move since it was attacked by the other three and they had injured the new goat badly, I took the goat to the back and shot it, it was going to be saved, no I did not eat it.

And that brings us to today, two of my goats had babies yesterday, fine lil babies, the third still pregnant, today when I went to check, the third goat had a stillborn baby half hanging out, I watched for a half hour, nothing , then I  took a short rope and tied it to the stillborn and pulled it out and took it out to the tree line and came back and helped the goat deliver the second baby, I am not a farmer, never been around such things but it was something that needed to be done or the goat would have died and so would have the second baby, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Why am I even telling you all of this? It is a lesson in life to, not all choices are pleasant, not all things are pretty, life is cruel, but you don't let bad things hold you back or make things worse.

LIFE IS A GAME OF CONNECT THE DOTS, IF YOU DON'T CONNECT ALL THE DOTS OR DON'T CONNECT THEM IN THE RIGHT ORDER YOU NEVER GET THE PICTURE
