I should say something about the Obama State of the Union, you do know he gave a speech last night to the joit session of congress, and to the American public, I will.

As I said, the good news is that the world will end on 20 December, 2012, the bad news is that it may not.

The closest analogy to what we have here is this, someone breaks into your house and while you are watching he viciously rapes your sister, and you are saying , oh well, at least it is not me. Then he comes over and rapes your backsides, and you are miserable, but he hands you a lollipop, and you are saying well atleast he GAVE me a lollipop, and not that I am gay or something.

So what is the future of America, because that is the future of humanity, like it or not. Obama talked about taking away the tax breaks of corporations that move jobs overseas, sadly any one that wanted to move, already has, we have no auto industry, we have no sewing industry, we don't make air conditioners, fridges, ovens, bicycles, TVs, computers, hell we are even importing meth form Mexico, so what is this crap about moving jobs overseas, what the hell is left here to move? Hell we could not even fly a helicopter or a jet, or navigate a ship during war because our computtersystems in all of these are made over seas.

IN this global world, no one is loyal to the United States, no one is required to put the USA first, not the corporations, not in the least, so when I hear the working people say that they are Republicans, I want to scream out" you poor stupid bastard". But then again the poor stupid bastards are not all or just Republicans, they are also Democrats.

How do you define a "Poor Stupid Bastard", you can look up my article on the war on poverty.

I have two theories, or three may be four, first of all any one that is against abortion, or pulling the plug on granny should be made to pay taxes to support all the bastards (and otherwise) that have daddies that won't pay to support their off spring, and also pay taxes for keeping granny alive. If you are not paying for my upkeep then shut the hell up. Two, if throwing money at the schools makes kids smarter, give the schools all the money they want and they should be expected to produce only geniuses, if not school systems and teachers should only be payed based on their performance ( oh, BTW the kids interest in getting an education correlates with the the interest of the parent in educating the kid) , I did not see this Obamas's speech or the Republican response.

Third, if cutting taxes increases the revenues then we should reduce the taxes to zero and thereby get out of debt, Republicans should be required to come up with a rock solid plan based on this assumption, or be required never ever to mention the stupid idea again. May be Rush can prove this.

Rush also kept mentioning the Ayn Rand book "Atlas Shrugged" last summer, I wonder if he ever read the book himself, "" WIKI (please also read " Property rights and Individualism")

The characters in Atlas Shrugged are portrayed based on their productive effort, respect for rights, intellectual honesty, and moral integrity independent of their wealth or social class. Among the heroes, John Galt and Hank Rearden are from working class backgrounds, while Dagny Taggart and Francisco d'Anconia are from wealthy families. Among the villains, Fred Kinnan is from a working class background, while James Taggart and Lillian Rearden are from wealthy families."" Wealth in modern day America ( last thirty years or so) has been made by following more and more bizzare scams, money market and stock market manipulations, cronyism and out right lies and fraud and gaming the system.

So what is the purpose, what is my message? I do not have plan to save the world, And it has been predicted that the world will end one day anyway so why not now, anyway?

The prophecies in the holy books are not that unusual, it is not hard to see that if a few people, a government or a political philosophy takes over control of the resources, they could choose who shall eat or not and who shall live or not. We have already seen this in our own lifetimes with the Communist regimes and the Nazis, thus the concept of an anti_Christ.

As some in the right wing media have compared Obama to the anti- Christ, complained about his socialism and an up coming take over of control by the government (martial law and such), I had tried to brin gthe attention of the c0untry to such an eventuality back in the April of 2008, comparing the the situation to the one that existed back in the thirties. The economic conditions that existed back then have not changed, we are only buying time before the real disaster hits.

To compound the problem, once again, we have the laws on the book already that will make such a situation possible, that is the declaration of emergency conditions and the usurping the rights of the people to protest, of undeclared detentions, suspension of the Hebeas Corpus, these laws were passed in clear view of the nation and with the support of the right wingers and the tea baggars, these are called the PATRIOT ACT.

I consider myself pretty conservative on the social issues. My two teenage daughters are told, and made to dress a bit modestly, i.e. no belly buttons or panties showing, and no two piece bathing suits, even though both take swimming and karate, and the older is also in JROTC.

But seems to me that by default, the right has taken a cult mentality where the leader can do no wrong. What has George Bush done right lately? Be Honest! He has taken us into a war we can not win. He lied to us or was stupid enough to not to know when he was being lied to. He fell for the WMD charade, the nuclear purchase charade, he did not know what our military was doing in our prison camps, and can not see what his PATRIOTS ACT does to the civil rights and the liberties.

Is this nation now so far gone that we are supposed to turn a blind eye when the king is naked. Where is the out rage? This time it is not a bunch of dope smoking hippies that are against the war, but it is a bunch of do gooders wanting death and destruction on the people of the world in the name of the Lord and peace. And don't tell me that the support of the war from the right is only based upon facts, and the known dangers.

Why are we not holding Mr Bush responsible for the budget screw ups and the deficits, for the health care mess, for the jobs being created that pay no benefits, and more than anything else for a screwed up war we are in.

Or is it that right only consists of the people who sent money to Jim Baker and Jimmy Swaggert and Pat Robertson and Falwell and their ilk. We have no brains, we can not ask our president to tell the drug companies to quit pushing Viagra day and night. That he should make the oil companies pay windfall profits taxes, ( for while the working people have to pay thru the nose at the pump, his and Cheney's buddies are getting filthy rich)

I do not claim to be smarter than anyone, I do, however have a different way of looking at things and try to connect things that are not related to get a different view of reality. I see the similarities between cultures adn notice their differences, but I also see how and where we will end up in this world if the drastic changes are not made and made real quick.

I do take credit for warning others of the up coming market crash , the housing bubbles, the banking crisis So now as the world is hoping for a recovery, I am wondering how far do have to go before things turn around, and I know it won't be anytime soon, no matter the predictions of the government and politicians.

At the very least I know we are not going back to the world of the last few years. with unlimited amounts of money coming from no where, wiht leverage of forty to one and more and the real estate going up twenty percent a year or more. That not only means that the rich won't be getting richer as fast, it also means that the world will have billions of new poor, billions more at the edge of starvation and slavery.

As I have said before, we are paying out billions of money that we don't have, spending billions to train people for the jobs that will never exist, so why are we wasting money? Because it is not real money? Or because we don't want riots and people in the street asking for blood of the politicians.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (CNN) -- A United Arab Emirates sheikh was acquitted Sunday of charges connected to the videotaped beating and torture of an Afghan grain dealer.

Sheikh Issa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, a member of the emirates' ruling family, was charged with rape, endangering life and causing bodily harm in connection with the nearly three-hour long tape shot in 2004 in the desert outside Abu Dhabi, one of the United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf region.

However, the court acquitted Issa on Sunday, ruling he had diminished responsibility for his actions because of the effects of medication his defense attorney claimed he was given. Issa had a "lack of criminal responsibility," the court found, defense attorney Habib al-Mulla told CNN.

"The judiciary system acquitted Issa based on the evidence presented by the defense that the sheikh was under the influence of drugs given to him," al-Mulla said. "That deprived him from his poise and caused him to carry out acts that were out of consciousness and that were photographed with the intention for later extortion."

The tape surfaced last year as a piece of evidence in a federal civil suit filed in Houston, Texas, against the sheikh by his former business partner, Bassam Nabulsi. It caused outrage among human rights groups and in the United States, where senior U.S. officials familiar with the case said the tape delayed the ratification of a civil nuclear deal between the UAE and the United States.

On the tape, Issa is seen along with a private security officer stuffing sand in the man's mouth. As the grain dealer pleads and whimpers, he is beaten with a nailed board, burned in the genitals with a cigarette lighter, shocked with a cattle prod and led to believe he would be shot. Salt is poured into his wounds.

In the end, the victim can muster up only weak moans as an SUV is repeatedly driven over him.

"No one can prove that this videotape has not been tampered with," al-Mulla said Sunday. The only person who can confirm the incidents happened as seen on the tape is the victim, and he has not confirmed that, he added. "We deny the incident as it was shown on that videotape."

The defense did not just center on the medication, he said, but claimed that the videotape and other incidents from that night were all part of a conspiracy aimed at blackmailing the sheikh.

During the trial, the defense presented medical reports from experts in the United States and the United Arab Emirates showing that the various types of medicines given to Issa, when combined, "would lead any person to act in a very aggressive manner, losing his control and his behavior."

Asked about a Human Rights Watch statement that one trial was not enough to stop torture and restore the United Arab Emirates' image, al-Mulla told CNN he believed the UAE was "courageous" to hold the trial, calling it "a very positive signal of what the UAE is trying to achieve."

The incident allegedly was triggered by Issa's belief he was cheated in a business deal. UAE officials have said the grain dealer survived and has settled the matter privately with the sheikh, with the two agreeing not to bring formal charges against the other.

Al-Mulla said he is "pleased with the verdict as it was proven that Sheikh Issa was a victim, and he was not what the media tried to portray him [as]."

The Afghan man was in the courtroom, and the court issued him a "temporary" compensation of 10,000 dirhams ($2,722), al-Mulla said.

Nabulsi, a Lebanese-born U.S. citizen now living in Houston, said he met Issa when the sheikh came to Houston for medical treatment in 1994. They became friends and business partners and the sheikh recruited Nabulsi to move to Abu Dhabi to work for him.

In the lawsuit, Nabulsi claimers breaches of contract and fiduciary duty. A federal court dismissed the suit in June, ruling it did not have jurisdiction, according to online federal court records. Nabulsi has appealed to the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Nabulsi told CNN in April the sheikh turned on him after he expressed concern over the Afghan's treatment. Later, he was arrested on drug charges, and security officers working for the sheikh ransacked his home and demanded the torture video. But the tape -- shot by Nabulsi's brother at the order of the sheikh, he said -- had already been smuggled out of the country.

Nabulsi said he was arrested, jailed and ultimately convicted on drug charges -- and was tortured and humiliated by UAE police, who demanded he return the tape.

Al-Mulla said Sunday Nabulsi was sentenced to five years in jail in absentia, agreeing that he was responsible for the drugging of the sheikh. Prosecutors will attempt to implement the sentence through Interpol, he said.

PLAYING WITH FIRE

Once again, I have been missing a lot. Thinking more, but writing less, what's the use, people are tired of the bad news. And truth is a bitter pill to swallow. Same as to admit ones wrongs. And how do you know really if you are in hell, when you have been playing with fire and just got burnt.

Obama, the prince of the Nobel peace, is about to start the third fourth and the fifth war of his presidency. I don't agree with the right wing websites claiming that the Christmas incidence was all a conspiracy to take away our remaining freedoms and liberties, but then we do need more wars to keep this economy afloat, and that incident alone has caused billions in economic impact what with increased security and new equipment sales.








O.K. call me cynical, and I also don't plan to be traveling by air anytime soon. But stuff like this does impact military sales, and so called civilian employment by security firms. I always wonder why we don't just put the TSA and the other security people in uniforms as they do all over the world. And how the hell we get away with having contract security personnel to provide security for the CIA, and the State Department, isn't it what the militaries are for? why the charades?

And there, will Yemen be cheaper? easier? Probably not, and this is why. Plainly put , our spoken policies end up conflicting our deeds and the "other people" not as stupid as we think they are or should be. And it always comes back to bite us in the ass. We have talked about it before. Did we not start and support the Talibans to fight the Soviets, and not only that, for sixty yeas or more we have supported the Saudi regime that has brought the fundamentalism to the Islamic world and has been the biggest supporter of the radical Islamists every where and is one of the most undemocratic regimes anywhere in the world, then how do we go around pretending to be supporting democracy, don't you think the others know the king is naked. How long can we keep spending the money(that we do not have), and the blood of the American youth to support our misguided policies, we need to chose one or the other side, not both.

And then there is the economy, lets see with all the dog and pony shows and the claims of communism, how many salaries is the pay czar controlling

Back in the seventies, I volunteered to join the army. Just like today, the economy was bad, and any way we were fighting the evil communists, so even a meager paycheck of three hundred sixty was good. Of course there were some other real good reasons too, but surely you don't want to be bothered.And if you wish to assume that I was somehow dysfunctional let me assure you I was not the only one. And besides, I knew something about communism besides the mere name, I had read about the purges and the gulags. I knew about the proletariat and the privileged classes.


I remember my days of ARTEPS, and WINTEX, of SQT testing and dealing with dope heads and junkies in our ranks at that time, but we were all patriots. Even when we had no money in the budget for fuel, we were ready to take on the communist.

There were times I was on guard duty, in three layers of pants and five layers of under shirt, shirt , field jacket parka and liner, carrying a PRC-77 radio on my back walking on ice in my mickey mouse boots and carrying empty M-16 and a base ball bat, guarding and ammo dump that I knew was empty, I was on the front line of the defense the United States, the freedom and capitalism.

We knew that the communism will fail, they paid people for jobs that involved no real work, they were lazy, and drunkards, and they had no morals, there countries were broke and surviving on money they kept printing. We were told that.

Then Mr. Reagan ran for president, I voted for him, he was going to balance the budget, and give us money for fuel for our vehicles, we could buy new equipment and parts, and ammo and fuel, we had more money now for defense. He busted the unions, starting with PATCO, I was an air traffic controller in the army by then and received a bonus for reenlisting. He instituted tax cuts, and the stock markets boomed, every American was going to be a millionaire.

DOGS, PONIES, AND THE OTHER THINGS

So, how was your day? Mine was fine too thanks for asking.
As you may have noticed, I skip around and lot and tend to get lost, sometimes I start writing something and then go away and start something else, but as I say, it is all connected, one to the other, so it does not matter if you are paying attention and following what I say.

And if you are paying attention, there is a lot going on in the world and in Washington DC, also all connected, from the global warming summit in Copenhagen ( now inconveniently called the climate change). And if you think what is going on in Copenhagen is just a bunch of crap then the goings on in Washington Dc will not be pleasing either. At the capital hill we used to have two types of useless asses, now we have four, count them, The Democrat asses, the Republican asses, and now the Independent ass and the Socialist ass.

As in , People! we don't have the money for health care anymore than the money we have to keep fighting two stupid wars.As in , People, we know all the money we are spending always ends up with the Chinese, Arabs and the Indians, any way, that's why we keep going more broke. No wonder the Chinese and Indian economies are recovering and we are still going down, because they keep getting our money (that's why we will be soon like them, a third world country with the people sleeping on the streets or living in Barrios. In the mean time Hillary has started to smoke Phillies, talking that crap about a hundered billion dollar slush fund, who has the money to fund it? Dubai?? haha, j.k. There is mental disease though, it is called confabulation, look it up. "

KARACHI, Pakistan News: Gulshan-e-Iqbal police claimed to have lodged, in their respective police station, the case of abduction of Dr. Aafia Siddiqi and her children against the former present Pervez Musharraf on Monday morning.

Dr. Aafia Siddiqi was abducted with her children from Karachi in 2003 while she was on her way to Quaid-e-Azam International Airport to catch an Islamabad-bound flight.

She remained missing for five years until reports of her detainment in US-based Bagram prison in Afghanistan, were reached here.

Subsequently, upon pressing form Pakistan, US authorities shifted her from Bagram prison to United State for legal trial over charges of carrying out assault on US-allied troops in Afghanistan.

KARACHI: A local court Wednesday dismissed plea of the kidnapping of Dr Aafia Siddiqui against former president Pervez Musharraf.

Nihal Hashmi, a local leader of Muslim League (Nawaz), had filed a petition in a local court of Karachi pleading for registration of a case against former president Pervez Musharraf for abduction of Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

The court in previous hearing ordered TPO Gulshan Iqbal and other high officials of police department to appear before the court with all relevant record.

The court today observed that the petitioner have no blood relation Dr Aafia and he was not eligible to file the plea and dismissed it.

“Only mother, sister, brother or any other relative can file such petition,” the court observed.

FAILURES OF CAPITALISM


Why am I so pessimistic about the future of humanity? For years I have listed the failures of individuals and groups, of persons and society, not just to cast stones but also to enumerate their cost to country and humanity also. Time and time again I have shown how the capitalism model works and does not work, and how the consequences will be dire for our shortsightedness.




First of all, capitalism is designed to concentrate wealth, you pay the workers the least you can get away with and charge them the most they can pay. On the other hand you must produce goods and service for those who have money, so by design you can not help the poor even as you are the one keeping the people poor by paying them less. The system worked here for long time for three reasons, one the government spent money, two the government charged higher taxes and three we had very high levels of lending whereby people spent money from there future earnings.

With taxes being lowered, and the wages being lowered due to off shoring of work, the government deficits had to go up, since the government was not collecting as much as it needed to keep the people in food and shelter based on the wages only.




Two since the capitalism is not designed to cater to the poor, we have no public services for those who can not afford to pay, thus the lot of the poor is worse now than ever. As you see the corporations have never invested in anything that actually helps the poor, like cheap public housing or clean water or sewage services or public transportation where people have no money to pay for it.



Simply put then there are only two ways we can go. One is that the government keeps borrowing and spending till the country is considered socialist. Or that we have a two tiered society of the haves and the have nots, just like any other third world country. These are the two futures we have to choose from. The only other choice left would be to stop the poor from making babies, ie from creating more poor. Any one telling you any different is only either ignorant or lying.

Now that the messenger of peace has been promoting war, as we already knew, and the future of global warming is placed in doubt, where and how will the next shoe drop.

Just when you think you know what is happening, you are confused. Just when you know what is going on, you are lost. And the president of peace is justifying a war.

In the history of the Nobel many names have been obscure, at least to the average Euro_ American, so an under qualified one is also just par for the course, and in a strange twist of faith once more we here have a guy who no one had ever heard of four years ago, not only sitting in the seat of the president of the United States but also accepting the Nobel Prize for peace and all the man has to offer us and the world is his "Words". As the Bee Gees would once say

"You think that I don't even mean

It's only words, and words are all
I have to take your heart away"

Obama is nothing if not words, he makes a great speech and everyone loves him once again, no one more so than the republican right, but what did he really offer the world??

Go behind the words and look, Obama's speech is important for what it says as it is for what he did not say. Obama, once again had the world's ear and he kept quiet because he is sold out.

"In many ways, these efforts succeeded. Yes, terrible wars have been fought, and atrocities committed. But there has been no Third World War. The Cold War ended with jubilant crowds dismantling a wall. Commerce has stitched much of the world together. Billions have been lifted from poverty.






The ideals of liberty, self-determination, equality and the rule of law have haltingly advanced. We are the heirs of the fortitude and foresight of generations past, and it is a legacy for which my own country is rightfully proud."

First the World War II was fought to keep a tyrant in check and The United States entered it haltingly, but when we are talking about no new wars being fought is only because we have decided to let the tyrants be, yes we fought in Europe (Bosnia-Herzegovina) but let the murder in Liberia, Chad , Uganda, Rowonda and elsewhere in Africa continue, I let you make up your own mind as to why. Or is it commerce. like I said back in 2003, we don't care about Africa, we just need their minerals. So now that we know that the rich people do not create jobs, which is what I have been telling you for years, Mr. Obama has called a summit to see how jobs can be created in the private sector. As if some one will now give somebody a job whether the person giving the job will materially benefit from it or not? Like I have said time and time again no one creates a jobs just so that the poor can eat, if it were true the poor the world over would not be killing their children, selling their daughters or selling their kidneys. Any Questions so far?

And the heck is a summit any way, do these people have God complex? Like the G20 or what ever G-spot is in vogue that day? We are always having these summits and getting screwed by the ones who are in the summits.Why are like the blind lil piglets, always sucking the hind tit? there are obvious and numerous problems and as many solutions but no one seems to have the answers while we as a nation stay bent over and get ass fucked?

In the old days there were GODS, and the people were fucking stupid, and if you was getting reamed it had to be God's will, today we have no such excuses.If you are being dicked it is your own fault.

Read back in this blog, for yars I have been talking about this will come, and what we need to do to pull our national heads out of our national ass holes and smell the shit, but we ve been to fuckin busy jacking off and making ourselves happy. Two things, we could go to losing no jobs every month and the unemployment will keep rising until we start to create more jobs than the number of new people joining the work force. And that my dear won't happen till we stop exporting money, which we have been doing since the shit called free trade, which is really not free, it steals your freedoms.
And second, even if we in creased exports in dollars to where we had a positive balance of trade( it will never happen in your life time or mine and the country will keep going broke till no one will have anything). we must have more people employed in exports trade than we have in imports over seas, that again will never happen till we live like the people over there, which , as I have been saying for a while now, is coming. No maater how much money is being spent on jobs training and new careers, even the computers, education and health care are about to turn in to lemons no one wants.
So don't be overly impressed and go out a buy a new car or a TV made in Japan or China cause your economy is going to improve, and by all means don't buy shit made over there, they are laughing their asses off.

Surely, as predicted, President Obama tomorrow will commit more troops to the so called war that is no longer called the "war on terrorism". And thus will contribute to the destabilization of a much more populous country of Pakistan, that is our co called ally in the so called war on terrorism thus increasing the danger of a major escalation of terrorism in Pakistan and abroad.

There are severe problems, Taliban is no longer a serious power in Afghanistan if we just leave the country alone, they will probably help control the corruption in the country and may even moderate their stance if the Arabs will quit financing them and try to make them heel. Al Qaeda on the other hand has no center, it is all over the place, ( I have been saying this for years).

Also as we talk about controlling corruption, then we must start at home, how do we, HOW DO WE!, want to stop monetary corruption when our whole system is based on profiteering and high pay, most of our contract mangers in Afghanistan are making a quarter million or more per year, these are the ones dealing daily with Afghan leadership, surely our counter parts are tempted, it would be naive of us to believe other wise. Lastly as it is becoming the culture here now, in the third world countries, rank and authority is a way to make money, from a lowly cop to the janitor at the city hall on up you expect people to pay you for your services if not out right protection money. After all our involvements in the Middle East, doing business with the Saudi's and the Pakistanis and Egyptians, et all, we cannot pretend to be ignorant, or claim that we ourselves are not corrupting their officials with bribes and presents. It is now only an excuse to stay on there, we just want to make some money for our contractors and politicians.

Our budget deficits are high now and going higher, they were already over a trillion a year under Bush , if we had, as I said, counted the war expenses and the social security offsets. But if we were to stop these wars now, the industrial production will drop (we call making war materials, rockets, humvees, jet engines etc industrial production) and unemployment will increase. Thus both the Dems and the Republicans want to continue the war.

However, as we spend the money for war, our trade deficits increase, as people have money again to buy Chinese made goods, as well as Korean and Japanese made goods and Arab oil, and the country ends up more in debt. Some days are just not worth getting out of bed for.

So what is common between the upside down world of Dubai and the world of Tareq Salahi. Much more than you think.

If you have never heard of a show called, "the Real Housewives of----" count your blessings. It is a show about foul mouthed ghetto-trailer trash( you may wish to reverse the order here) overly made up and overtly stupid newly rich morons who don't mind making an ass of themselves on national television. Tareq and Michaele Salahi apparently and perfectly fit the bill.

So does Dubai, and in a perfect irony, as the Salahi' crashed a White House party, in the manner of the all newly rich, Dubai defaulted on her debts, Salahi's are bankrupt too.

Prostitution is a time honored profession for those who have fallen on hard times. So as Mr. Salahi and spouse tried to sell their services to a production company, so did Dubai, become a brothel for the rich of the gulf and other countries, and just as hooker does not ask where your money came from, neither did Dubai. If you had money, no questions were asked. The middle east new money rich found an air and a cover of respectability, apparently no one talked about the flesh trade and the flaunting of Islamic code, from his name Tareq Salahi could also be a Muslim himself, what could Al-Queda say, does terrorism it self not increase prostitution, yes, it does, indirectly, but it does so. I am not talking here figuratively, in Dubai there are prostitutes from four corners of the world and the local fare also, from Lebanon, Russia, England, Korea and the Philippines, and your desire be for Halal Islamic flesh then from Pakistan, Bosnia, Iran, Iraq, and surely Saudi.

Just as Salahi and spouse risked going to jail for fame, Dubai risked being exposed for the farce it had been all along, a whore house for the rich. Out of oil money and broke Dubai sold a dream to those seeking high rewards for little efforts, the thieving bankers and the Arab potentates who were about to become rich when the oil hit three hundred dollars a barrel, and when the banking failed and the oil fell, Dubai went under water. At least their ancestors once knew, (it was only sixty years ago) how to find pearls in the scum of the seas.

In two thousand five I proposed to Mr. Bush about legalizing prostitution. I was ahead of my time again. It is not so bad after all, Ted Haggard, Jimmy Swaggart , Elliot Spitzer to name a few were consumers, Spitzer paid eight thousand an hour for his girl, then we have compensated dating (Korea), Japanese teen dating (Enjo Kosai) are considered respectable, heck British research scientist , "Belle Du Jour" even blogged and then bragged about it, so did the Muslim teen genius Sufiah Yusof.

There are pitfalls though, as in the case of the 71 year old in Dothan trying to trade his broken washer for sex, and the thirteen year old in Mobile getting busted for solicitation, and the classic case of the two seventeen year olds who went to the police because they got paid with a rubber check.
And before we laugh too hard at the fool sin Dubai about their financial mess, we must remember the condition our own condition is in.

So you are upset that Mr.Bush would lie about the nuclear deal in his state of the union message.

Upset that we were fooled about the weapons of mass destruction. But the biggest fabrication was not the documents about the nuclear deal in Niger.

Go back and listen to the Collin Powell presentation to the UN. How could Mr Powell, a General in the United States military, and thus familiar with the intelligence operations, could have presented, with a straight face, the so called intercept of the cell phone conversation between two Iraqi Unit commanders as genuine and true.

I objected to the conversation's presentation at that time, as it was an obvious farce. The whole thing did not make any sense. It did not follow any established military procedure. And as we now know. for a fact, that the Iraqi units were never given any "weapons of mass destruction" ( and what do you call a 20,000 lbs bomb any way?).

May be General Powell' s conscience will soon bother him enough, about his lying to the world, that he would resign. But then again what is conscience, when you have sold your soul.

The problem is this, I think if you are lying to me then you must think that I am stupid and will fall for your falsehood, and that makes me only indignant.

This how I felt when I took my twelve year old son to see the movie, "2012", he loves science and was really into it , but from the very start I was disgusted. What kind of a fool do they think we are, of course if we had massive sun flares the electrical grid will fry, the satellites will be put out of commission, if not burn up. If the earth crust were to crack up suddenly, then the downdraft of the air rushing in to fill the void will make it impossible for an aircraft to fly out.

But that is Hollywood, and we expect to be lied to, but what if the liar is over government and the media is in bed with them to keep us stupid? That is where you get the hole story. Like that in a doughnut hole, you know you are only getting ten percent of the whole and expected to be satiated with it. The media and the government do not wish to provide you with the whole doughnut, they just give the hole.

I had already told you that Obama will commit more troops to Afghanistan if for no other reason then to save the defense jobs, the contractors, and the civilians who make millions of the racket, who know for a billion a year or less we could buy the whole country Taliban and all, but this will help our economy, keep the joblessness from rising, but!
The there was the news this morning that consumer spending increased last moth, are you even buying this crap? Can you tell me where the money came from? There were 400, 000 more unemployed, the wages are stagnant if not declining, house values are going down, no more lines of equity, so on and so forth, the question remains, where did the money come from? who was spending? is that a state secret?

A DEAD POET


You may think that I am slow, that I do not write often enough, but if you are new, I invite you to browse through the archives, there is plenty here that is as valid today as it was when I wrote it.

This is not a novel that I write or the mere meanderings through my daily life, what I note here is the past and the future how they are intertwined, our past is leading us into this abyss.

Tombstones note the demise of one, sometimes they tell us what the person was, how he lived, and sometimes even how he died.

In Democracy in America, published in 1835, Tocqueville wrote of the New World and its burgeoning democratic order. Observing from the perspective of a detached social scientist, Tocqueville wrote of his travels through America in the early 19th Century when the market revolution, Western expansion, and Jacksonian democracy were radically transforming the fabric of American life. He saw democracy as an equation that balanced liberty and equality, concern for the individual as well as the community.

Tocqueville wrote of the Americans, "Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom." ^[2]

As critic of individualism, Tocqueville thought that through associating, the coming together of people for mutual purpose, both in public and private, Americans are able to overcome selfish desires, thus making both a self-conscious and active political society and a vibrant civil society functioning independently from the state. The main purpose of Tocqueville was analysis of functioning of political society and various forms of political associations, although he brought some reflections on civil society too (and relations between political and civil society). For Tocqueville as for Hegel and Marx, civil society was a sphere of private entrepreneurship and civilian affairs regulated by civil code ^[3].

Many today quote Tocqueville. or like to misquote the gentleman, he was so right about America, looking with the eyes of "detached social scientist". He was right about the United States as he saw it and as it existed way back then. Yes, as it existed way back then, today the United States as Tocqueville saw it does not exist, actually if he were to return he will see how wrong he had been. Or disappointed that his dream America had ceased to exist. We will come back to this discussion in a minute.

In the 1989 movie, " Dead Poet Society " John Keating (Robin Williams) tells his students to climb up on their desks and look at their world from different angle, to forgo the conventional wisdom. In my discussion below, "American Enigma" I discussed how the Average American has become just the average and the same in search of individuality.

I do have a screwed up point of view, if you will allow me, but it is different, as different as that of a Dead Poet of Mr. Keating' Dead Poets, as different as that of an outsider such as Mr. Tocqueville. I AM not a Mr. Tocqueville, I am just a Dead Poet who views the world differently.

I know I will be called a racist, not for the first time, for saying the too many people in this country who have no business having kids are producing off spring,and that includes whites, black and Mexicans all. These people have no interest in raising properly what they bring in to this world. Add this mixture the fuel of what we call the media, kids are growing up watching reality shows where anything goes, and movies and TV shows where rape and murder is common and gets higher box office. Shows such as CSI, SCU and movies such as SAW series, Hotel, and Friday the thirteen make abuse of females fun, and that is before the Rap and the new rock make female abuse Hip. Where do these children learn about self control and respect of females where they watch their own moms and sisters having sex with all comers, get real folks, it will take either a christ or an anti christ to fix this shi p.

MAKING SENSE

My first intention had been to write about the rape of the young girl in California and then the murders at Fort Hood took over the news, so here I am trying to make sense of something else that does not make sense.

In these times of the twenty four hour news cycle, by the time the news of the massacre at hit the headlines, surely most people instantly forgot about the rape of a fifteen year old and moved on. That is not to say that the murders in Cleveland were not important even though most of the victims were all probably black .

Two friends came in, joking, talking about me now, one says, you know he is a psychologist, ( I have a master's in counseling) yeah and the other says and he is in the military, ( I am retired), and we know he has weapons, they agree, and I laugh. You have to have a thick skin to be the one that I am.

Back in 1979, I was teaching Air Traffic Control in the Army, I was called a "camel jockey", a "sand nigger" and a "rag head", at the same time I was also investigated by the Army , twice that I know of, for would you believe, Racism. Not to be left behind, Tim Motley, God bless him, stuck a gun in my face after the hostage crisis, at the Coffee Kettle in town, threatening to show me what how he wanted to deal with those Iranians, I am not an Iranian.

I left my family and I came to the United States to escape fundamentalism, I was always against it and abhor it even today. And yes I was against our war in Iraq. My letter against the war was published in the Dothan Eagle back then and I called the evidence presented to the UN a fabrication. I spoke out against Islamic fundamentalism forty years ago, I call them as I see them today in these United States. I have talked about our stupid economic and social policies, and the decline of the US for years, many of you have seen my letters and blogs postings, I am not shy.

On the morning of the 9.11, 2001, June was watching TV and she came told me when the first aircraft hit the first trade center building, I thought may be it is is foggy in New York and some civilian had hit the tower, but when she came back and told me of the second hit, "where the "F" is the FBI' came of my lips, I had no doubt what had happened.

Yet we have experts, all over the place, on TV and on the talk radio, who never see anything coming, but they are always there to tell you what has just happened, after the fact only.

We live in the time of half hour sitcoms and one hour shows where all the problems of the world are solved, we want instant answers so we can move on, have closure!

I do not have an instant answer, but take time please and try to understand. Before we invaded Iraq, I had said don't go, "I said there was a reason for us to go to Afghanistan but Iraq, no. I said, that there are one point two billion people ion this world that have nothing in common, not language not culture, but they call themselves Muslim, and if we manage to make one tenth of one percent of this population angry at us, and we do not know who they are where they are and what they are capable of we will have problems. I said that if we go to Iraq, they will not receive us liberators but call us occupiers and come after us and try to kill us, and then we will say they are bad, they try to kill us, I said stay out."

Yes I said it, and wrote it in a letter to then Commander in Chief, and had my letter published in "the Dothan Eagle". That makes me unpatriotic in the eyes of many, but then why am I here. If I am an American do I not have a right to an opinion? Do I not have the freedom of speech? Do I not have the right to criticize the government policies? Well I think that I do, and I use my right, even as I have told you it has cost me friendship of many, and also otherwise.

Can we even imagine how many soldiers have comeback hating Muslims and Arabs because they were injured overseas or lost their friends to the enemy, or lost their wives and kids due the divorce or separation caused by deployments? Can we imagine them opening up to an Arab with these sentiments? I have been at the receiving end of these feelings even though most of (an incredibly vast majority of my comrades have been totally respectful, but there have been a few exceptions also)

For many, religion is an escape, a sanctuary from day to day problems, this where we find someone to dump our problems on. So it is not question that the Fort Hood killer turned to his god, misguided about the religion by who ever he was talking to. It is the tragedy that parts of Islam have become like a doomsday cult, like what David Koresh was saying or James Jones or even Charles Manson.

No one can justify or excuse the senseless murders of the innocent. But is there is any crime , ever that is sensible? Any cold blooded murder that can be justified? And then a cold blooded murder in the name of a god? But any way, the gun sales in this country have been up for months, and stores shelves are void of bullets.

The day after Fort Hood, Danny Pierce called me from Dyer, Corrine Fuller was listening in on my end of conversation. You can understand Danny was upset, why? why a Muslim, and I went into the mode of trying to explain, trying to make sense of things. As we were watching a Muslim go on a killing spree at Fort hood, we were also watching the case of an ex marine who had killed eleven women and burried them around his house, John Allen Mohammad was waiting to be put to death and the case of a public rape of fifteen year old was unfolding, did any of it make sense, does anything make sense.

Danny was reminding me of our times together in the army thirty years ago, and how we loved each other and took care of each other and stood by each other. What had happened and how could this fratricide be committed by a Muslim a Major in the Army no less. What I told him was that it had nothing to do with Islam per se, It was a loser, a loner, and one who should have been caught longtime ago and exposed. How did he ever make it to a Major in the Army and a psychiatrist without having had any personality tests and counseling? By rights, all psychology majors take a personality test once or twice or more during their education, all officers and higher enlisted have to have background checks and clearances, obviously some one had dropped the ball.

Then again it is not the first time some one has dropped the ball in this nation of ours, from immigration to drug trafficking to 9/11 we keep dropping the balls. After 9/11 I had asked for the resignation of both Robert Muller and George Tenant, Tenant received the Congressional medal of freedom instead, as a nation, we worship our failures. Do we not know that in the ranks of our military there are gangs, criminals, White Supremacists, Skin Heads, Black Supremacists and others, we know that. May be that's why the Major's behavior was over looked also.

I am not, once again, making excuses, I am examining the facts as I see them, all the facts, just the facts.

Why was a practicing Muslim even assigned to hear the stories of the war? Why he was not pulled back after he apparently became radicalized? Was his radicalization associated with and due to what he was learning about the war at his job? What is the role of his leadership there in, what is THEIR responsibility?

In the end a conviction may hinge on the finding of whether PTSD is real? Is it? If it is then the major was under a lot of stress, listening to the stories of the war veterans, some of whom may have related to him about unnecessary or accidental killings and abuse of the local populace that we are trying to help and bring democracy to. Over a period of time it caused him to become radical and pushed him over the edge. If it was not PTSD in this case, then PTSD does not exist and the veterans are malingering as some in the military hierarchy have already proposed. Is the military ready to deny him a PTSD defense? Is the US?
