THE FUTURE IS HERE

NPR had a disscussion of the new economy and the future, on their program, "ON POINT" with Tom Ashbrook, (onpointradio.org) it is linked to the title here and you can hear the discussion yourself and read the comments.


I have discussed these same problems in my article, "A new world order, 2003", posted below. The idea of ever expanding economy, consumerism, commercialism is all counter to the future of the humanity, the world. A profit based economy looking for more consumers, and more profits is counter intutive. We are running out of land, out of water and even out of fish in the ocean.

Population control, lower standard of living for all but a few, enforced shorter life spans, euthenasia, selective breedings, are all in the near future and need to be discussed and faced, we can go in to the future blind and we will still get there, lets get to the point.

I wish while you were at it, you would have discussed the problem of Islamic genocide in Darfur, and blood letting of Muslims by Muslims in Pakistan, Iraq, Palestine,Egypt, Afghanistan and elsewhere. I think you forgot that the prophet called All Muslims brothers, which is not shown by any Islamic country within her own populace or to the populace of other Islamic countries. We respect more the christians and whites than other Muslims or the people of brown skins, truth is a commodity and you used it sparingly to your own advntage only, this is hypocrisy (nifaq) not truth, Muslims have no leg to stand on in these problems in duscussions with non Muslims. I have heard that the last words of the prophet were " Umati, Umati, Umati", and not the oil momney, oil money, oil money, is that true?
AS the Islamic countries, not naming a particular name right here now, appease the "fundamentalists", to stay in power they also lessen their own chances of reform, and then get in trouble with so called moderates and seculars. Look at what is happening in Pakistan, it could happen elsewhere also. Read the stories of the Mufti refusing to anull the marriage of a eight year old, or the widow being sentenced to lashing for being in company of boy who had brought her bread and no more,

May be it is also time for us to recognize that many Saudis and other Muslims that travel to foreign countries like Bangkok, India and England etc. fornicate there and leave their bastard offsprings. A timely show since I had already commented today about the teen suicide , below, we need to learn to connect the dots.

It is ironic, the same psychologists and anthropoligists that call the multiple relations of couples as the normal human behavior and thenature are shocked and surprised that the beating up women is also instinctive and natural, especially if a woman is agressive or independent. When a woman gets out of line she is beaten, be it in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan or an African country or the United States, no matter how we try to sound and be different. Sexual violance is the cost of “sexual freedom”. Obsession, possession, harrassment, stalking, call it what you may is a part and parcel of the sexual freedoms that we want to enjoy. You can not oout law human nature. Ancients tried to cordon the human behavior with establishment of silly little guidelines like, one man one woman, no coveting,no adultery, and damn sure no “dating”, no boy griends and girl friends. But what did they know?

I did not get to hear the whole show today, did any one mention the female teen suicide after her sexted nudie was shared by her ex -bf,

Here we are again, one more child dead, one more mother blaming the school, anyone , but herself and her daughter for the tragedy. What was the fault of the school? What could they have done to stop the boys, other then may be tell them not to talk about her daughter being a slut, but would that have stopped anyone, what about the right of free speach, here see, we are confused.

Do we not realize, sex is not a children's game,or a right or a need. Sex is something we do in a marriage, not a committed realtionship, not something to do with anyone anywhere to relieve the stress, or to show appericiation, sex is killing us.

It would be shameful If I did not take due notice of the moral outrage exhibited by the Arab News on line in the case of the warrants issued for the arrest of Omar Bashir, President of Sudan.

"The decision by the International Criminal Court of Justice to issue an arrest warrant for President Omar Bashir of Sudan on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur reeks of hypocrisy. What about the war crimes committed by George W. Bush and Tony Blair in Iraq and the war crimes committed by Ehud Olmert and the rest of the Israeli government in Gaza? What about the war crimes of Ariel Sharon in Lebanon? Where are the arrest warrants for them?"

In the same day news items there is one about the "Arab lawmakers condemn the warrants against Bashir", and one about why "West should not give up on Pakistan", as well the article questions the lack of success of Muslims in resolving their own problems.

In my mind, I have difficulty keeping things separated, so all of these articles get connected.
Why are Bush and Blair not indicted you ask? Who were the biggest supporters of the Egyptian and the Saudi regimes I wonder. Is it not biting the hand that feeds you .
I have railed against the stupid US polices for a long time, as pertaining to the Middle East and the Islamic worlds. And so much is true that US and Britain are both supporters of murderous and oppressive regimes elsewhere in the region. I was against our invasion of Iraq as well as the call of Bush for democracy in Pakistan which upturned the apple cart there.

I smiled though when I read the litany of charges against the various African regimes, and the discussion of the cleptocracy in Pakistan, by all mean the list is not inclusive so it sounds like that pot calling the kettle black.

Some fifteen years ago, just before Christmas, a co -worker of mine received a credit card in the mail. We worked at a gas station, so the credit card only had a some five hundered dollar credit limit. Needless to say that weekend she not only went shopping for Christmas, she and her family also stayed at to motel in Dothan and called out for pizza. Before the night was out they had spent the credit limit and gone over some too. Let me ask you now would you elect that lady to run our country?

The problem is that our country IS being run today by some people with the same kind of fiscal responsibility. About two years ago, i wrote a series in this space, (letters to the Dothan Eagle), where i had not only discussed the need for raising taxes to solve our budget problems and also to improve the condition of our social -security mess.

Let me back up here and discuss some about the current economy, before the elections we were told that Mr Bush had stopped drinking and other stuff. Then what is he doing? If there are new factories going up around the country I want us to be told. Sure there is an economic boom, houses and condos are going up everywhere and new eating places and malls also, but we are still buying more from other countries than we can really afford. We are borrowing stuff (trade deficit, 480 billion per year) and selling it, on credit, to the people who have no money to buy. Is that an economic boom. Most of the new jobs being created are in the homeland security arena, how is that helping the American consumer, it is actually an added overhead in the long run. Most other jobs are in defense related industries or areas being helped by the war on Iraq and the war on terrorism. Not real jobs , not great jobs that add value to anything or produce a thing.
All this at the cost of a two trillion dollar deficit racked up by Mr Bush through an ill advised, and countinuingly expensive "war". And let me put this in perspective, Mr Bush has doubled the Reagan deficit of a trillion dollars in half as much time. No wonder he is claiming that the economy is booming,( mostly for him and his buddies). In the long run , however, the working classes always have to suffer from such a mess. If there were to be a depression, the rich will still have their money, and if the deficits are paid for through inflation, the rich always make more money through higher interest rates , while the working people lose the buying power of their incomes.

Do you want to give Mr Bush another four years?
1. Mr Bush gave the rich their tax cuts to make up the income they will lose due to current interest rates staying low .

2. They say there is three trillion dollars in cash on the side lines whine the stock market has been treading water for three years, why the people with this money won't invest in the USA.

3. If compared with the price of gold or foreign currencies the stock market today is at six thousand actually, not the ten thousand as it says for the DOW .

So there, the auto sales are down, and the housing is still in a slump, stocks keep falling, around the world. The promises of the president and his cadre not withstanding, recovery is but a fleeting dream.

Are we to believe the economic predictions of the experts, to follow the yellow brick road to the house of oz, only to find that the wizard has nothing to give.

The bail out of AIG, CITI, GM, etal is not doing a thing for the public in general, though the Bernanke, Geithner duo of clowns keeps pleading to the other five hundred thirty five know nothings on the hill.

Or may be they all know, that the country has been bankrupted, the "hundreds of trillions" lost in the markets had never really existed, and a few trillion being offered to stem the loses will do nothing to stop the bleeding.

There is no new technology, new industry and a new need that will create real jobs, time to put away the foolish things, like ideology.

President Obama and others need to come out and tell the people the real truth. Capitalism has failed, just as socialism did. Money can not be created from thin air. There are jobs that the Americans are willing to do, the same ones that were called the jobs that the Americans will not do. No amount of self help books will change the future.

I have been patient for many years, like when I asked senator Shelby, personally, " when the US government runs up a deficit, who ends up with the money," I have yet to get an answer, after two years. Obama recovery plan, by design creates temporary jobs only, and it will cost eight hundred billion dollars, has anyone asked Bernanke or Giethner, what about the three trillion plus you have spent, who got the money and what are the results? Why is the economy still in the dumps after all that money has been given away, and to whom??????? ever wonder

So what do all these have in common? everything, actually they are all the same one problem, though some may see one or another angle to the problems, many, however, fail to see the common threads. But first we need to remember that ALL humans are mostly the same, even the educated and the rich have the same basic human traits of the rest, the uneducated and the poor, And the second, if the first is true, which it is, what can happen over there can also happen here, we are not immune because we are white, black, educated or or richer or Americans, what is happening over there can also happen here. As I had mentioned in my radio interview, back in march 2005, the problem with Mexico is not that they don't have money, especially with all the oil revenues, it was that the rich were hoarding money and corrupting the politics and justice systems.

Previously I have also said that if you corrupt the system for your gain, then you, yourself, also suffer the consequences of a corrupt system. In poor countries it is easy to bribe someone, but when bribery becomes the norm then more and more monies are required to corrupt someone, unless, the people are so poor that they can still be bought off cheaply. Mexican rich and the middle class are no longer safe. Safe heavens for the rich become smaller as the poverty and the corruption rises.

Unless you have been living in a bubble, you know what is happening in these various countries I have used in my example above, and just in case you do live in a bubble, here is some information. In Mexico drug lords have a war going on , not just between themselves, but also against the police and the army, kidnappings, murders, torture, assassinations are becoming the norm and no one is safe. Columbia and Bolivia have insurgencies tied to the drug trade, they have the same problems with corruption. In Bengla Desh, the border guards had a mutiny and they killed or kidnapped one hundred forty of their own officers, over seventy corpses have been discovered, seventy are still missing. And in Pakistan the government relinquished the control of the Swat Valley to the radical Islamists. Sway Valley used to be a summer heaven for the rich, where the poor population was used as virtual slaves for the summer months by the rich vacationers. Well ok, not as virtual slaves , but the poor people of Swat were just very happy to serve the vacationing for what ever money they could earn.

Who is standing up for the poor? On an empty stomach all philosophies turn to self preservation, and people will do whatever they think will feed them and their kids and kin. Taliban and Al Qaeda find recruits among the poor, and so do the Mexican drug lords, poor peasants in Columbia and Afghanistan grow coca and poppies.

In justice, real or perceived will always bring a reaction. While everyone was celebrating the growth of "richism" I was warning about people who got left behind. In nineteen eighty six i warned my relatives in Pakistan about the unfairness of the system there, told them about the corruption and its consequences. I used the example, not of the Iranian revolution, but of the French and Russian revolutions where the have nots had risen against the haves. I got excuses, no surprise there.

I had voted for Reagan the first time, a sin I will never forget, but soon as he was elected, I turned against him, he did not balance the budget, and his trickle down theory wasn't worth a cup of hot piss.

For the last forty years mankind has had an obsession with getting rich, it is no longer enough to have a roof over your head, and food to eat, and a nice family, it has al been about making money, and if you were not making money, and tons of it you were a fool, a slacker. It did not matter at all how many people you had to use, abuse, swindle, con, fool or back stab, long as you were making money.

THE NEWEST CIGARETTE TAX HIKE

In the name of full disclosure, I am cigarette vendor. Having said that, Cigarette tax is about the most regressive tax that we have, as most smokers today are less well educated and poorer. Although it says here that the intentions of the tax hike have good intentions, they fail to mention there is already a hidden tax of six hundred billion plus on cigarettes that the state(politicians) have manged to steal and divert to their own pet causes, and the poor pay for this tax (settlement). As the incomes are in decline and the unemployment rates are higher for the less well educated already, that from what I have observed, many people will pay for cigarettes and will have no money left for a treat or even food for their kids, so how are we helping the poor kids, by exposing them to more neglect, if not out right abuse.  yes, I have seen kids treated harshly by  many a frustrated parent that has no money left after paying for their smokes.  What will be more fair is to increase the tax on alcohol ( beer, wine and liquors) by say thirty percent  to replace the tax loss, and snag you  some money from those who can afford it.

Some days I wonder about the mindset or our leaders and of our own selves.

Nadya Suleman thinks it is ok what she did, she will go back to college and get a degree and will be able to support her brood, all fourteen of them, may be it is time we looked in to irresponsible people making babies they can not afford, yes I have talked about it for years also.

Why is it that the nation is upset about her irresponsible behavior, but we keep quiet about tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of similar idiots having kids all over the country.

your article is misleading and confused, As you laud the stock market return of 4.5 percent and S&P return of 3.4 percent per annum over the last twenty years, you did not compare these to to the housing prices jumping by three hundred percent, college education and medicine up by five hundred percent in the same period. Of course we all know that the government figures have been a total lie, stating the inflation rate of under three percent, over the same period, thus anyone invested in the market was losing money.

Now then, getting back to Nadya Suleman, and her expertise on child rearing, her desire to become a psychologist and a counselor, she is not that far off the main stream , is she. A MARCH TOWARDS SOCIALISM ( AND IT WILL BE CALLED A "NEW SOCIAL SYSTEM")

Previously I have advised about a government owned bank, now CITI is about to be taken over. Why is the government not calling it a government owned bank? Yet the march to socialism continues. Over the years I have written about this danger of "untold wealth", about the "creation of wealth" and our adoration of , if not out right worship of money.

Sooner or later, we all will have to change our lifestyles, willing or not our lives HAVE already changed, at least for the foreseeable future. Only problem is that ninety percent of the people still have no idea what has happened, or are unwilling to accept this new reality, the paradigm shift.

As we keep digging the hole of the deficits deeper, and the rich refuse to create jobs to feed the poor, which only proves I have been right all along, housing the banks and the industries are being taken over -helped- by the feds, the illusion of free market economy dims.

In a perfect world, one would expect that Muslims, who make up about a fifth or more of the world population, would have been opening schools for boys and girls to educate their Afghani cousins. The bailout package will help some home owners not all, is what the head lines tell us. So what else is new, we knew this all along. Then there is the audacity of the new green jobs. Building of wind turbines, have you heard from Boone Pickens lately? Having individual wind turbines on individual homes makes sense. Having solar panels on homes makes sense. But when you are taking about square miles of wind turbines and solar panels, you are overlooking the one, most important item in your theory of global warming.

If it is true , as advertised, that the global warming will change the weather patterns, then how do you predict what the weather will be, within a few years, at your chosen location, what if there are long term wind shift patterns, what if the tornadoes in Texas become stronger and tear up your turbines, and California and New Mexico and Arizona become tropical wonderlands with more rains, floods and vegetation?

Oil prices have dropped by seventy percent, as the global recession takes hold, the oil consumption is decreasing, if the economy stay in doldrums, which it will, the need for an alternate energy source becomes less and less important. At the time when we are going to commit untold billions to energy development and conservation.

If we succeed in developing an economy that is not dependent on oil, oil prices go down, the income of oil producing countries goes down, from Russia to Iran to the gulf countries, poverty as well as instability of their regimes increases, not to say anything of the decrease in their arms purchases, and buying of luxury goods. Islamic fundamentalism in the gulf increases. And our friends from the house of Saud are thrown out on their kiesters.

Simply put, the global unemployment rate is about fifty percent, poverty rate around sixty may be? Half the people in the world would do anything to have three meals a day, Most of the people have no health care, no clean drinking water, no minimum wage, workers rights, or even human rights. Then tell me how great it is to be in a global economy, and explain to me how I compete with these people for a job, and what I can sell them. Also tell me what I must give up to stay competitive, and tell me how we are helping the people in Tibet and Darfur.


Like I have been saying it for years that human beings are made obsolete by the modern technology. Recently a news item said that there were doctors and lawyers in Miami looking for work. Computer engineers and auto workers are laid off by hundreds of thousands, while an unemployed mother of six conceives eight more, and this from one of the smartest people on earth, then where is hope, what is the reason for being hopeful.

Humanity is at a crossroads, we either quit breeding or we will have to separate ourselves among the needed and those for whom there is no possible useful function, then take care of those who are needed and leave the ones that are excess to their own devices, be it in Darfur, Tibet, Pakistan, Afghanistan or wherever.

Do we forget that these places are over populated, As related to the number of jobs available, thus people there will work for extremely low wages as per required by the free market standards? And that when we move some of "our" jobs overseas because of low wages the number ob jobs in this country is reduced thus the pressure on wages here is eliminated and the people on the lower end of scales have actually a lower wage growth. No I do not want the federal government to pay high interest rates, but,

1/ the extremely low interest rates have reduced the incentive to save,

2/ extremely low interest rates have allowed the government to borrow more and more and not to raise taxes, but if and when ( and it will) inflation starts to rise and there is a need to to raise the interest rates, the interest on the cumulative federal debt will increase in such a manner that the government could not even pay the interest on the debt with the current tax income and will have to reduce services and benefits and will go in default.

3/ the extreme money growth along with the artificially lower interest rates under the
Greenspan FED did allow Mr. Bush to finance his two wars with borrowed monies, but it also allowed the bankers and hedge funds and speculators to finance the housing bubble as well as allowed the American consumer to live beyond its means.

Washington's efforts at reforming, stabilizing, boosting the economy may work in the short run yet, but they are doomed. The fact remains as the population keeps increasing, fewer and fewer people are needed to perform the actual "work". That is the problem today with the social security and Medicare already. It is not that we only have two workers to support each retiree, it is that more workers are not needed to perform any gainful "functions" and thus have reasonable income to base the tax on. You can see the problem, if you can relate one to the other, in the auto industry. As the leaders of the three auto makers are in Washington again, hats in hand, their problem is not that they flew in on private jets, (the whole idea is a created distraction form the real problems) the problem is that they need fewer workers ( read automation and technology) and pay them less now , and to make less in profits, ( TO COMPETE IN THE GLOBAL MARKET), and thus the contributions to support the retiree's pensions and health care have fallen. It is the same problem in social security, fewer workers, lower wages, and more beneficiaries. At the same time, it would be funny, were it not so ironic that the congress and the senate are accusing the auto makers of mismanagement and poor planning, is it not the kettle calling the pot black!

Now why would a smart man like Hank Paulson go and name his plan TARP, Troubled Assets Relief Program. Now any one knows there can be no such thing as an asset that is suicidal or suffers from a adjustment disorder, even though we know many of the assets of the American are suffering from just such an episode. But words can be deceiving and TARP by its name sounds like you are trying to hide something, by covering over it with a tarp. So here I go out on a limb and propose a new name for the plan. I think we should call Mr. Paulson's plan "Financial Assets Reevaluation and Transfer System", here now, it explains everything. That the financial assets of the bank are being reevaluated and are being transferred to the government, and the acronym "FARTS" can be clearly understood by any lay person in the country. At least we Americans will know what we have got.

The time has come for the government to start its own bank. Not the Treasury or the federal reserve, but a regular bank owned and operated by the government. Put away the bail out, the stimulus, and take the money as a reserve to start the bank, writing loans, mortgages, even issuing credit cards with regular strict lending standards, just cut out the bull crap of the SBA that takes six months and more to issues a small business loan. Since we have seen that the banks taking money from the federal government are only keeping it or paying bonuses to their executives while the average American suffers, and the small business can not get any money, the best option now would be for the government to get in to banking and hire bureaucrats on the cheap as opposed to high dollar bankers.


The current banking system has failed and it has failed the country, we surely don't need to hand the same more money, I wrote about this before that the government is throwing good money after bad, that the TARP was a farce and a failure, I have been proven right. The government should not be in the business of creating jobs, it should concern itself with collecting taxes on incomes. The jobs will again be created as the small businesses and individuals can borrow money and start new ventures, thus the jobs will be created like they should be.

Handing out money to states and counties and cities does not make much sense either as the money will be lost to corruption and diverted to the friends and families of the politicians. in contracts.

Time and again I have said, "Life is a game of connect the dots, if you don't connect all the dots, and don't connect them in the right order, you don't see the whole picture".

So it is when one wonders about Tom Daschle, or Timothy Geithner, or Larry Craig, Elliot Spitzer, Bill Bakker, Bill Clinton, Rudi Guillaini, Casey Anthony, Nadya Suleman, the Jonesboro Arkansas School shootings, Jonesboro, Georgia middle School 11 year old being tasered, or Jonesboro Georgia High school dance teams performance, one must realise these are not isolated incidents, this IS who we are, who we have become, this is US, the U.S.

These stories and the people in them may be unrelated, but over all they representative of the current state of our country, where anything goes is the rule of the day. Even as we face the greatest fiscal crisis of our times, if not of all times, the Washington is still refusing to reform its ways. People are still trying to get rich quick, connections and nepotism are still the rule.

What difference is there among these people, Nadya Suleman getting impregnated with eight kids, or the CitiBank giving its employees bonuses, or a father putting his daughter naked on the web, it is all the same, no morals, no boundaries, and pure unadulterated greed.

We are waiting for a bailout from a situation of our making. We believe it will be fixed, so no one is talking about the upcoming civil unrest, the world wide starvation, ( yes, including here), wars over resources, and cannibalism.

It is all a part of the new world order, if here in the United States you have not heard about the Chinese being worried about civil unrest, or Iran and Pakistan being unstable, have not heard of the French and the English workers striking for jobs and job security it does not mean it is not happening.

We live in the age of information, so it is said, then why are we dumber than ever?
There are a few reasons, in general we Americans, are too important to worry about the rest of the world, Vietnam and Iraq not withstanding , our interest in the foreign lands is minimal at best.

But then again, the media were not out here warning us of the impending doom, of banking collapse, or the unscrupulous loans, of the real estate mess, of the coming jobs crisis, not that we were interested any way , but someone should have been raising cane! Surely I was not the only one talking, warning, getting on talk shows, writing to the White House, to my senator about our ruinous fiscal policies.

The truth is that the news and information media, including the networks, the newspapers and magazines and even the "right wing" talk radio never wanted the people to know the truth, for their own reasons, actually their lively hood was dependent on your remaining ignorant and uninformed, even misinformed.

It is just like the right wing conservatives, blame all their screw ups on the media so they can wash their hands from all blame. On the other hand the media have been a bunch of dopes not investigating diligently and reporting and being caught up in the “AMAZING BOOM”. For over ten years, I have , myself, blogged about the ridiculous appreciation of assets, of creating money from thin air, the dangers of very low interests rates that promote spending and reduce the incentive to save. Of inability to save for anything with a very low interest rate on savings thus the need for zero down loans. And have been called crazy for complaining about the building of a house of cards. I am afraid that we are in for a world wide depression, that will change the face of governments the world over.
But in the end we must look to see who really owns the media? Are they not going to benefit from even a depression once again?

Not all the blame can be laid at the feet of the media though, surely if someone wanted to eat just poop, there would be vendors galore to provide the substance, and so it has been. So it is that "only little people pay taxes" said Leona Helmsley. If an average person is behind in taxes, the IRS goes crazy, we are considered scoff laws and threatened with prison and leins are placed on our properties. But now first it was Timothy Geithner and now Tom Daschle, both nominated for cabinet positions and we find out that both had been making " minor" oversights. To me it reeks of corruption of the priviliged. Don't tell me they did not know the law, and if they did not how are they being placed in positions of Authority in matters financial.

Does the senate have any back bone? Are they all so corrupt? Sadly yes, in The united States of America the government is becoming as corrupt as in any third world country. It is no longer enough to just scam and lie and cheat, if you are rich and powereful you can thumb your nose at the laws and when caught just say I was using Turbo Tax, I wonder how many indviduals could get away with it.

Where are we? What happened to the "CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN"? With the confirmation of Timothy Geithner to the Treasury Mr. Obama has shown that he himself does not believe in change.

And what is with this spending, may I spell it out again for the umpteenth time?

We are here because of the spending, and no matter how many jobs are to be created, they will by design all be temporary, infra -structure spending, education spending tax cuts, all increasing the budget deficit will also increase the trade deficits, if as planned the Americans go on a shopping spree, the real jobs will all be created overseas , in manufacturing. What we need is to revive our manufacturing base, not hiring more people to change diapers of the elderly, or for making coffee. WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO PRODUCE WHAT WE CONSUME!

But lest we forget, our problems of pollution, of obesity, of disease are directly related to our consumption. The bigger houses, cars, longevity are all contributors to the pollution of the air and water and the seas. Our crime rates, drug abuse, murder, suicide, child abuse, teen pregnancy, aids, are all related to the exponential growth in population over the past fifty years or so. The increase in population itself is the main if not the sole cause of global warming.

President Obama says that he will spend eight hundred twenty five billion dollars to create four million new jobs. I have an idea that will actually work, and may be even increase the income of the government. Before everyone goes crazy and jumps in my "stuff" please think this thru. Congress should immediately pass the law and the president should sign the law rescinding the last increase on the minimum wage to seven dollars and twenty five cents.

It sounds crazy, since I had propsed a rise in minimum wage to eight fifty back in two thousand and six, but the times have changed, the economy is changed and the world has changed. This small increase will save many jobs with the businesses that are already on the brink.

Can not say one again, as the debate is continuous. No one cares where the eight hundred billion is coming from, and how it will be spent. The Democrats want to give the money away, in needless jobs being created, and the Republicans want to give tax breaks both are lying.

I f we spend money on health care, or education or on roads to no where , what will happen when the money is spent? Will be richer for it? Will the economy take off? The answer is NO! We need to have a new model of the economy, not based on consumerism. We need to recognize the FACT that spending money does not make you rich, especially if the money is created by the government (deficit spending). Do we not recognize the fact that our dream of being the richest nation on earth, ever, was a hallucination based on the money government was spending, money that was created from thin air.

When do we ever learn, how will this spending plan take us out of the economic quagmire.
I have always argued that we have too many toys, we reward people for stupidity, and not just on reality shows. We rewarded, handsomely the fools on the Wall Street, for years! We rewarded incompetence by bankers and politicians and lobbyists. And we rewarded our goofy screw up kids by showering them with gizmos that made them even stupider. We rewarded nincompoops writing sitcoms, and rewarded Howard Stern and Madonna Snoop Dog etc. for destroying the culture and the society. And the list could go on.
May be it is time to reinstitute the "Fear of Flying".

We are at the verge of the depression that I have been warning about for many years, how do you bail out auto industry when people have no many to buy cars, or work in health care when everyone is losing their job and insurance?

I have listended to the talk radio, Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh and their ilk railing about how the left is pandering to this "victim hood" mentality, while the right, or more specifically the Republicans such a mind set.

But wait, listen and read between the lines, if you happen to be a Republican and please don't feel left out now. What Neal and Rush don't want you to notice is that they are telling you how YOU in your own pittyful little sleves are being victimized by the "great wild left".

You my friends of the right ward persuations, are victims of the biased media, of the Holywood lefties who come around force you to turn on your TV sets, teach your daughters bad things. You are victims of unions and the ACLU and NPR, and the liberal news papers.

You my friends, the listeners of the talk radio, and making less than seventy thousand dollars a year are paying high taxes, while the rich liberals making less than seventy thousand a year pay no taxes atall. And if Obama passes a tax cut for the middle class, making less than two hundred grand a year, you will be left out of the largesse, since it will all go to the people on welfare.

And if you bought a house within last couple of years that you are unable to pay for, the Republican party will disown you since you are a welfare scum and most likely live in a ghetto, and should not have been able to get a loan in the first place. No I did not give up writing, but you have been busy too, watching too much BS. Did you not know that Obama is black? Or was it the news lately that he had won the presidency? Or that Martin Luther King was one of the great leader of his community and of this country, and that Dr King had paved the way for Obama to become president. So what was this over doing of the same old hash and rehash.
Oh yes, you are brain dead, and the media knows this.

Nothing else was going on in the world, but that since the first of the year we were going to have a black president, and the world stood still, even poor ole Martin did not matter any more.

When will it happen, the Apocalypse, the people would ask the prophets. But the prophets would not say, (so the stories go).

And I have warned, for years, of the coming economic collapse, the ruin of society and culture, and how one and the others are intertwined. The destruction of morals, the destruction of education, the enslaving of females in the name of freedom, and the destruction of the planet and the life there on by science and technology.

The economic collapse that will be followed by the collapse of society, the collapse of the rule of law, as greedy and or hungry masses roam out of control of a government too broke to function. The money that is to be spent on the infra structure is bound to be looted by the corrupt system of government and the so called contractors, who have been feeding at the trough of the government for years, at all levels, leaving little for the masses. And soon enough the government will be out of money, unable to repay her loans and then unable to borrow, printing new money will not be an option as the new money will be as worthless as the old one it will be trying to replace or to add to.

So when will be this day of judgement? The day that civilization collapses. Have you ever heard of a date called, 21 Dercmeber 2012? Could this date have a real meaning?

I am not person that has given up on hope. And that is the reason that I still keep writing here. Over years , you would have thought someone would have come along and really paid attention, and would have read through some of this material , available here, free of charge or even an expectation of recognition, yet I keep writing , hoping someone will come across this and read it and may be even counter what I say.

When Mr. Bush proposed his first bail out package, I had mentioned that the effort would be futile and we should not borrow any more money to pay for the so called stimulus as the money would just be transferred to the The Chinese and the gulf states. I was proven correct.

I had left the post below, "why am I the prophet", up for a few days, hoping to get some one's attention, but for naught. The idea is that the government is fooling us as they are fooling their selves in believing that there is a possible solution to the mess we have created. If throwing money at the problem was any solution then why the seven trillion dollars ( off the books mind you!) have made not a difference? We want to believe in lies, watching the so called "Reality Shows" has made us believe that lies are the truths and we will countenance the consequences of our own inaction, our own failures, soon.

In 2003, in the article titles "The New World Order" I had brought up the point that we can not afford to give everyone a home, a job, provide electricity and food without destroying the planet, it is true even today, only now it includes YOU in the EVERYONE. get it?

In my post here, on 09/04/2008, "What McCain Needs To Say", I predicted that Obama could not implement his universal health care plan , because there is no money, now you have seen Obama backing off on his promise, even before he has taken the office.

It is not that the current crisis could not have been foreseen, it is that you were not told that this is where you were being led, by design!

The budget deficit for fiscal 2009 is now projected to be 1.2 trillion dollars, it will, as I told you long time ago, actually be two trillion dollars when you add in the proposed 700 billion dollar fiscal stimulus. And as we are told it will be like this for the foreseeable future.

How will it be paid back? Is there a plan? When will the economy recover? Does anyone know?

Actually there is none, and we know that, and the consequence will be as Obama told you that everyone will have to make sacrifices, Do you know what that means? It means, and as i said to you before that you will have a much lower standard of living from now on. "We will make some more", the phrase actually comes from an old "Doritos" commercial that said, " eat all you want, we will make some more". Today the phrase seems to apply to our fiscal policies, the fiscal stimulus plans, last but not in the least to the humanity's urges to make more babies.

What are the consequences of such, we keep increasing the deficit, of course it will be all paid back, right? I think not, we already know that people are losing jobs, not paying taxes, thus not paying into social security, and living longer. What will happen in the real world, as opposed to wishful thinking is the debt will keep increasing till no one will loan us any money, and the countries and people who are "loaning" us money will no longer want us to live high on the hog.

Money, as we are spending in the way we want to eat "Doritos" has consequences, as eating too many "Doritos" may well give you a stomach ache, or even diarreah, the consequences of this spending will be much more severe.

I know, I know, I should write more, tell you more, ask you to think some more, listen to you some more and write to the politicians some more.

Here we are, in a brand new year, two weeks from the new president taking the office, economy in a mess, Middle East on fire, again!, Iraqis killing each other, as well the Pakistanis and the Afghans. The Africans committing genocide, of their own, and the Jews and the Arabs. Stuff is getting so boring! A new year, the year for "change" and nothing HAS changed! It is ever harder to find the motivation, to write something new that is not a repetition of what I have already written about and therefore predicted. The cancer spreads.

If you have been waiting for, searching for or looking for a miracle, it is not coming, Obama or not, we are doomed as a civilization.

Here is a thought, just to show you how stupid humanity has become.We talk of the modern society, everyone communicating with everyone else, we are closer than ever before, right? Then why does a family need four TVs? Why we have three hundred channels on TV? and why would three people sitting down to a dinner in a restaurant be talking to people that are not there on their cell phones. The point here is that we fail to see our own reality and have started to believe the crap we are being fed.

So then in what else is new, "news". The name of a Bernie Madoff is grabbing the headlines. But look deeper and you find that the whole Wall Street, wealth creation, get rich at all cost, get richer than everybody else, screw the worker culture of greed is the same., and has been on going since Mr. Reagan corrupted the investment system, OK, he allowed it to be corrupted because he did not understand what his handlers sold him on.

If we are now naming names of the crooks, then why not list the boards of directors of the NYSE, the top twenty employees of the treasury department, the Board of AIG, Lehman Brothers, and a hundred top corporations, all the day traders, the options traders, and the international bankers, who created wealth.

If you are old enough and remember it started out with hostile takeovers of companies and laying off workers, you could borrow money on the cheap and buy a company , fire the workers and call it increasing productivity, and then sell the company back to the public.

Then came the globalization, the NAFTA, and the workers lost their jobs and in manufacturing. But we had a new class of the "rich" that could could hire the laid off workers to cut grass, and make five dollar cups of coffee. And of course you could go to build houses for the people who had no money.

The whole system is, and has been nothing but a fraud, from an average worker who believes that after eight hours of showing up at a job, any job, he deserves the ultimate in rest, big screen TV, cable, airconditioning and a twelve pack of beer and kids who feed and clothe and educate themsleves, to the B school graduate who thinks that he is the GOD's gift to mankind in more ways than he can count, to a whole society that believes that they deserve more than they have because they are born in AMERICA and hardships ar for the other people who happen to be not so lucky.

I have argued for years that we are on the wrong path, our expectations are way out of touch with reality. We consume more than our fair share.

As millions more lose their jobs, and join the ranks of the home less, the poor and hungry we need to name names, name the process by which we got here, I have a suggestion. Since we are so anamored of calling old things by new names like "barristas", and "human resouces", and "facilities engineers", I ahve a new name for the situation we are in , it should be called a
"Paradigm Shit", yeah that s right.

No. First of all it is a punishment to those who remained sensible and stayed within their budget. People who bought over priced homes also caused the price inflation and kept reasonable people out of better homes. Now we will reward these at the expense of the ones who stayed within their budgets and means, and are still making payments and have been making payments.

Two, in the markets where the foreclosures are the highest, the jobs are also disappearing fast, there is no guarantee that the people who are refinanced will be able to keep up the new payments.

Three, if and when the prices may go up, these people will be rewarded with price appreciation, while the tax payers are shouldering the burden of bailing them out, they should not be allowed to gain ANY benefits from price appreciation, it should all be payed to the treasury.

It will be best to bring the jobs back permanently, that is in manufacturing, free trade and globalization have failed, and damage the country immensely, The foolishness must be stopped.

It is time that we decided who gets to continue populating the earth and who must be taken out of the gene pool. Humanity can not advance and become more evolved if we allow people of the lower intelligence levels to out breed the smart ones.

It is not a surprise, not to me, for years I have foretold of the collapse of this economy of ours, of the world economy. I have told you step by step, what was wrong with the picture, where the money was coming from, where it was going and how the system was doomed.

I also told you how the lack of morals, values and ethics was contributing to eventual failure. Our economy has been based on the idea that everyone is buying, always buying and always spending money. Money was created by the Federal Reserve, we could have as much as we wanted.

That system failed, as you have seen. So where to next?

Looking back, the buying to run the economy, buying to bring prosperity, buying with money you don't have system failed. What is the next shoe to drop.

Remember when I told you , at the start of this series, that the computer you are reading this on may be the last computer you will ever own. The next shoe to drop will be this web based economy, the Internet age is about to go under. "Face book", "YouTube", "Google", "Yahoo", whatever, these websites are based on the income from advertising, on selling you stuff. As the economy is tanking and no one has money to buy anything these sites generate no revenue. They can no longer be free, they have to become subscription services. Meaning you have to pay to be on face book or have a g-mail address., or you poor schmuck, you have to get a real life in the "rt".
Oh you don't know how to live in the "rt".

So here it is how it goes, as you become poorer, the access to the web becomes more costly, as you need more access to the web the web becomes more inaccessible. No more free lunches. Once again , the whole model of living on the web becomes out of reach of the average person, web that was supposed to create equality and openness will kill the equality and openness.
At the same time, businesses that are providing free information content, TV channels, news papers and the news organizations, are losing money in advertising, they will also find it difficult to make money on the web and start to charge for access to their websites.

The other business model of late, volume merchendising, big box stores, where little profit on each sale make up for a larger profit on fewer sales will also fail as the sales go down and people have less money to spend. this will cause the Wal-Marts, Sam's club like businesses to increase prices, just when people have less money. It will take a while, like the slow death, people will sell assests, take money from their retirement funds, sell their insurance polices, second homes, rental properties, etc to pay for day to day expenses till there is nothing more left to sell.

MY COMMENTARY

How are we talking about an open dialogue here? Where in an Islamic country is there a freedom of thought and the freedom of press. Whose ideas are we willing to accept? Look at Iraq, look at Palestine it self, and can we say Egypt? Pakistan, and how about Saudi Arabia her self.

An open dialogue implies that anyone can have an opinion without the fear of oppression. As things stand, I can say something here from the safety of my home in the United States, but with the knowledge that my opinion in matters Islamic or political can subject me to sanctions by an Islamic government, or even a fatwa of death by some mullah or imam in an Islamic country or even a local mosque locally.

Ironically this call for an open dialogue comes from the leader of the most conservative country, not only in Islam, but in the world.

I am not a pessimist, I have stated this before. The truth is a bitter pill to swallow. Today we have experts predicting doom, I have been predicting doom, and explaining its roots in the destruction of society. What made us, or makes us humans in the first place.

We went for the riches, money became the most important thing in out lives. Money it self would not have been so bad, but we decided that we did not need any boundaries, no morals, no ethical, no religious, not even family cohesion, money became the only God.

Go back in this blog, ( there are copies of my blog entries from Salon.com, and articles I submitted to the local papers over the past ten years, to CNN, and to the USA Today).

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, we were pursuing happiness and became lost. Divorce is for the rich only, middle class loses all in a divorce, no one wanted to listen. HIV, genital herpes, cervical cancers, nothing would scare us away from a romp. We had money, we were rich, we had three million millionaires did we not.

I have been predicting a depression for ten years, asking people to reduce spending, not to take large risks, large loans. I even went thru hell, with my wife, trying to stay in the same house for the last twenty three years, I could have bought a larger house. The depression was only deferred because of the dot.com spending , and then later with the spending after 9/11 and the two wars we created. Only now it will be longer and deeper, have we not been asking for a longer and deeper for a few years, now we are about to find out what a longer and deeper really means.

I don't wish bad on anyone, but with no morals, no family, and no savings to fall back on , the catastrophe facing our nation , and the people world wide could be biblical in scope. But look at the positive side, the population will be reduced, food consumption decline, no more threat of global warming, we won't be driving cars anymore, reduced consumption will lead to cleaning up of the environment, we won't need more refineries, and power plants. No more deforestation, and threats of off shore drilling or in the ANWAR( have you even heard anyone talking about drilling lately?).

May be I am too optimistic.

Alhamadulillah, now Hajj is comfortable and safe, today as opposed to fourteen hundred years ago , we have five star hotels, air-conditioned tents, snack bars, cell phone towers, "crowd control?" Police and the National Guard to make sure we all do as we are told. Saai in air conditioned walk ways, and jamarat from four levels.

People in AL Haram need to be protected from each other? We buy souvenirs, and other stuff to smuggle back to our home countries, and bribe the customs officials to let us through. It makes the trip worthwhile to get some shopping and sight seeing. What experience, and what sacrifice?

What great lessons learned? ask me!

This blog here is a proof that owning a computer or having access to the inter net, does not make one smarter or more educated.

Personally, I do not believe that Sonya is a REAL person but some jack ass, commenting here to agitate but then see how many of you (us) have fallen in to her trap. What should have been an enlightened discussion of the problems at hand has easily disintegrated in to a shouting match among the neighbors of any slum like street. Whether India is a second world country or better than any other country has nothing to with the fact that she was attacked, neither it has been proven that the attack was supported by the government or the general public of Pakistan. As I mentioned before, and was subsequently restated by Ms Rice, any conflict between Pakistan and India has a real possibility of turning in to a nuclear conflict. Cooler heads must prevail. The agitators and the ignorant must not be allowed to hijack, no pun intended, the discourse. If you are a proud Pakistani, or a proud Indian, bless you. You have serious problems in your own country. Focus your energies on the problems at hand in your home town, in your own home country. Blogging on here does not make life better in your country or change the facts of your country as you know them.

If your god wants to fix the problems or wants to favor one over the other let him do it on his own, surely he does not need your help, he is a BIG BOY now, you know.

So who do we want to help really? There are many talking about how banks can not be allowed to fail, or the insurance companies or auto companies. So far it is estimated that already the government has spent or taken on debts to the tune of seven trillion dollars, that is 7,000,000,000,000. So where is that money, and where did it go?

The old adage is that the money always goes to the top, have we not heard, time and again, that if some one took all the money and distributed it all equally, soon some Will be richer than the others, and the rich will again be getting richer. Then why are we talking about a tax cut for the rich , but we are against helping the poor. The money spent, borrowed, distributed so far has not shown up in the economy and on the main street is because what the government has done is to buy off the worthless papers from the ultra rich and hedge funds, and they in turn are not loaning it out again to the people with poor or no credit at all.

As the government anticipates another bailout, or a stimulus package, we should realize that that money will also end up with the rich, or overseas, if the marginal tax rates are not also increased, may be even to the seventy and ninety percent range so that the money can be recycled through the economy again and again. If not then the money will evaporate fast and the resulting benefits to the economy will be short lived.

I am not for giving money to the poor, I am not for giving money to idiots for making more idiots, I am for abortions, forced or coerced, I am for paying stupid people money for NOT having children. As long as we give money away we can tie strings to it, higher taxes for the rich and social responsibility for the poor,( it is hopeless to expect the rich to be socially responsible too)

It is not something I have not discussed before, we are doomed, at least the life and the life style as we know it today. We failed to see how the economic crisis was developing. Even those who saw it coming did not foresee the whole picture, and the consequence and causes there off remained unexplained. I tried bit no one wanted to listen to the bad news.

When I stated that the computer in front of you may be last one you will ever own, it is not hyperbole. It is the fact that you are just not aware off, not yet.

Washington’s efforts at reforming, stabilizing, boosting the economy may work in the short run yet, but they are doomed. The fact remains as the population keeps increasing, fewer and fewer people are needed to perform the actual “work”. That is the problem today with the social security and Medicare already. It is not that we only have two workers to support each retiree, it is that more workers are not needed to perform any gainful “functions” and thus have reasonable income to base the tax on.

You can see the problem, if you can relate one to the other, in the auto industry. As the leaders of the three auto makers are in Washington again, hats in hand, their problem is not that they flew in on private jets, (the whole idea is a created distraction form the real problems) the problem is that they need fewer workers ( read automation and technology) and pay them less now , and to make less in profits, ( TO COMPETE IN THE GLOBAL MARKET), and thus the contributions to support the retiree’s pensions and health care have fallen. It is the same problem in social security, fewer workers, lower wages, and more beneficiaries. At the same time, it would be funny, were it not so ironic that the congress and the senate are accusing the auto makers of mismanagement and poor planning, is it not the kettle calling the pot black!

Their are others on the right, who want to blame the unions for all that is wrong with the American industry, auto or other wise. For one I would like to have a look in the congressional parking grages and see how many are driving small electric cars or Austin Coopers. And two I would ask them as to how much they had predicted the rise of health care costs and how much they had tried to control these or the housing costs or the education inflation. Was not Bush pushing for a social security monies to be invested in stocks? How well did any of us plan for the future, indvidually or as a nation. Of course the auto business is in the dumps, but not all of it on its own. It wonders me to hear those with perfect health benefits provided by some one else to be talking about the health care costs of the auto workers. Do we not live in a society where we want eighty year olds to be treated for cancer at a cost of millions so they can live a few months longer? Do we not want to keep those in permanent vegitative state to "live" for ever on machines? Why not advocater mercy killings. Why not shoot a few wokers a day after their shift is over, we could even have lottery, (may be Neal Boortz will agree). Or we could pay more for workers, even the useless ones, or we could vote to control population growth.

Blame it all on the advances in health care and advances in computers and robotics. What makes you live longer, and even supposedly healthier is what is killing you !
