THE TRUTH, AND THEN PUTTING THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE
Two things today have caught hold of my attention, and left me wondering, first is what is all the hoopla about the swine flu, what is the big deal, why is the media and the politicians making such a big deal of it, why are they showing their concern about your well being? WHY IS every one acting so scared and looking out for the well being of you and me?
Have we not already learned to live with and cope with deadly viruses, why is the swine flu virus such a big deal, while we rarely threaten people with death when we talk about the human immuno deficiency virus(HIV), human paplinoma virus (causes cancer), and viruses that cause genital warts. Are these viruses not just as deadly?
In reality AIDs has killed more people the world over than the much dreaded and much talked about 1918 flu pandemic. If we were serious about preventing pandemics, we would be doing something serious about AIDs other than handing out condoms.
But how can we tell people to stop fucking around, would it not mean admitting that may be GOD was right?

As Bush was a failure at foreseeing the economic troubles, due to his wishful thinking, he also did not recognize the trouble he was in when he promoted democracy n Pakistan ( mainly to put Musharraf in his place when Bush seemed to have lost control of him), Bhutto if any thing was not a beacon of democracy for Pakistan.
In Pakistan you do not have a one major Islamic center, and that is a major major problem again, you have hundreds, many so called political leaders use the name of Islam to incite rebellion against the center and entice their followers in the name of Islam to mayhem and murder.
The privileged classes are only interested in their own survival and benefit, not in the common good of the country. Corruption of the judiciary ( you mention the lawyers revolt) at all levels is shameless and shameful. Zardari government is paralyzed, he is Sindi, the officers corps (mainly Punjabis) want him to fall, he is an idiot any way but he is the president, if he fails another Punjabi, may be a military leader gets to take control.
In Pakistan, defeating Taliban will not be easy because the population in general does not want an "Islamic Force" defeated by the seculars.
Pakistani intelligentsia it self is confused as to where their loyalties lie, they talk appeasingly to the westerners the they take out their Qurans, and try to seek absolution from having cavorted with the infidels. No problem if you sound confused.

A RECOVERY TOO FAR
I am not a pessimist, I have said this much again and again.
But when I hear the news media and the politicians talking about a recovery soon I wonder what they are smoking, or better why and how these people are getting away with these lies.
I know I have myself joked about a recovery based on self help book, may be Dr. Phil could offer one. May be the people at the COSMO have some ideas, they keep promising a wonderful sex life for any girl that will be stupid enough to buy their magazine, may be they will suggest someone that has a bigger package then Obama's (that phrase always made me cringe back in the day when everyone was talking about
Obama's package).
No doubt Obama has the biggest package, bigger than any one ever had before, almost twenty times as big as Bush did, (stay focused folks, we are only talking about the stimulus here).
So we are trying, right, our economy is based on credit they say and everyone is trying to "ease" the credit markets, there i the TARP money, there are banks with money to loan to the nice people, with good credit. But there is just not enough nice people with good credit left any more.
Nice people with good credit are losing there jobs, and that is true almost the world over . So nice people with good credit are scared to borrow more even if they could.
With all due respect, the size of Mr Obama's packages, and wishful thinking not withstanding, the downward spiral can not be stopped, decline may be reduced, the speed of decline maybe slowed, but it is the new fact of life in the modern era.
The resultant lower standards of living, is the new fact of life, services economy will stop functioning as the industrial production slows, products, however, will cost more as per unit production costs go up, reducing the demand even further.
Of course we could print more money than we are already doing and spread it around, then we could all be like the Afghans and Saudis and sell our daughters to support our bad habits.

Look around you, look at the headlines, seriously for once, why would anyone even think that the humanity has a chance at survival.
Here are a few of the headlines from the past few days
"I can't tell you how heartsick I am," next-door neighbor Mary Opulente Krener said. "This is the most wonderful family, the most kind and loving family. I'm astounded."
We live a lie, worship money, money that allows us to hide our ugliness, hides our greed. We are beautiful people only when we have large bank accounts, and large homes, is that not the media tells are all the beautiful people living in all those beautiful homes. William Parente did not kill his wife and children, ever heard of dealing with the devil? Devil exacted his price.

UNDERSTANDING ISLAM
I started studying Islam before before I had any awareness, it is a custom in religious societies to start the indoctrination of children at a very young age thus as they grow up they have no capacity of denying or defying any beliefs they were taught.
This not to say here that there is any problem with someone believing in Islam per se. But to say that Islam requires a blind faith and following is also misunderstanding of the true religion.
Sometimes the traditions are followed that have nothing to do with the basic religion itself, such is the matter today with Christianity that has adopted the Easter Bunny and the churches hold the Easter egg hunts. Sometimes Muslims also follow practices that are not based in Islam and its teachings, but still have become a tradition that can not be disobeyed.
In this article I am not going to argue as to the validity of any of the teachings of Islam, but as to one particular practice that has become an important part of religion itself while there is no guidance that exists for or against the practice.
As I said previously I started my study of Islam at a very young age, including the sharia and the ahadees. In my later years, if seventeen can be called later, I learned to speak Arabic, and became fluent in it at that time. I was able to read the " Gone with the Wind" and also "War and Peace" in Arabic. I also took a college level exam in a subject called the "Islamic Civics" ( al Skafa al Islamia). The reason I state all this is not to impress you but to validate my credentials.
The discussion comes along time and again as to if the Quran should only be read and taught in Arabic, as is practiced in a majority of Islamic countries. Many of my friends insist that it must, others just politely desire to ignore me, as they have done for years in many other subjects also.
In places the Quran states that the book is to teach (Yalemoon), other places it uses the phrase (Yafkahoon) to understand, elsewhere is the phrase ( Yatadabroon), to think over, to meditate over, to contemplate, a thoughtful consideration. The Quran needs to be learned, to understood and to be thought over. Only then the spirit of Islam can thrive.
By any estimate over two third of the Muslim populations are not fluent in Arabic, over half are totally illiterate, to argue that the Quranic study and learning can only be done in Arabic is a point not a part of Islam it self but a long standing, albeit misguided tradition.
It is not enough to just hand a lantern to a blind person, it is even dangerous. The person would go on stumbling, and could even cause a fire. God is a God of knowledge and reason, He would not expect a billion people reciting His word without ever knowing the meaning and His message.
The first revealed word of Quran is, Iqra" to read, yet many among Muslims bar the females from learning to read, they burn the schools and murder the children considering it Islam, many others decline to condemn the practice at least in a belief that those perpetrators might just be right.
It is said that God is not confused by multitudes of languages and voices, then why insist that He only accepts Arabic as a preferred language. And are Muslim children forced even beaten into learning a text that is meaning less without the knowledge of its verse. IS THAT GOD"S WILL???
Does Islam need to worry about its destruction by its enemies? May be. Are there people who want to see Islam fail? Sure! How many among the Muslims, persons and governements are working to educate the masses ( besides the emphasis on rote learning of Quran may be), few indeed. If Islam fails it will not be because no one was reading it in Arabic. Islam will fail because Muslims lacked the real world education, and no one cared. IQRA!

A NEW WORLD ORDER, 2009

Consider this an update or a continuation of my article, A New World Order, 2003 which is available on this blog by clicking on the title above.
My articles here, in this blog are inter connected. Whether about society, economy, society, politics or religion, you can, or you should be able to see how one thing leads to another to another. When religion becomes accepting of lower moral values ( it is OK to sin since you are forgiven) it leads to personal and political corruption and destruction of society and family. Political corruption allows for laws, (gambling, usury interest rates, and payday loans) to be passed that let businesses and some individuals prey on the consumers, the people. People in this case are just as guilty, not working or not living within their means in most cases. Also not educating themselves and thus falling prey to the crooks. In the USA today, with free education available to all, no one has to be stupid, but then many chose to remain ignorant.
Somethings in human experience are more closer than you think, children in Gaza facing up to tanks and rockets, suicide bombers in Pakistan, Iraq or Afghanistan and the mass murderers of our own United States have somethings in common, they are desperate, they have nothing else to lose, they don't give a damn about anyone else and they are not looking for a compromise.
The world over, the dreams and aspirations of billions have suddenly been decimated. Billions of dreams of retirement ( forget a comfortable one), of a decent college education, providing for their kids, of owning a home, even of just having something to eat are lost.
We were promised a Shangri La, was it all a lie? Did any one "in the know" "know" anything? Is there anyone responsible for the mess we are all in? Who? Like I have said before, time and time again, the thieves that stole the goodies are in charge, they are in the White House, and the treasury, and the congress and the senate and the Federal Reserve.
But we have no time to go looking for anyone, we are free, are we not? we are free to fuck anyone we want, we have the freedom to get fucked, is that not enough?
We have been duped folks, we have been dumbed down, nay, we have been made brain dead, in the age of information and inter net, we have been made too stupid to even ask the right questions.We have volunteered to get a lobotomy thru our TV and our computer screens.

So we say that Hitler killed millions, or Stalin did or Mao, Khmer Rouge had their killing fields, and we while wait millions will die of starvation, wars over resources, fore blood diamonds, or blood coffee or blood cocaine and blood marijuana, and millions others will soon die again of starvation for lack of cleaning water, or food and where are the guilty now? Why we don't have a Hitler or Stalin to point our fingers at?
In 2003, I had mentioned that we really don't give a damn if sub Saharan Africa dies, or kills its own dies of starvation or dies of disease, we only provide lip service, was I so wrong?
Of course we can say that really no one died because of the actions of the bankers and the Wall Street, and of course OJ was never found guilty of murdering his wife too. Millions around the world have lost their jobs, their homes and their retirement savings and no one is guilty.
Yes, you are reading this on a computer, and yes I am blogging on the internet, I am on the Facebook, and have a cell phone for everyone in my household. We have become so enamored of our computers and cell phones and the internet that we fail to see that despite all of their many benefits they are the bane of humanity today. They in fact not only control our lives and our time, they expose our our most private thoughts and deeds, tell on us what we do and where we go and where we have been. They expose our children to most dangerous ideas and dangerous predators. They cause our families to break up and in many instances allow or let us do many unsavory things we would not imagine doing otherwise, they destroy our moral underpinnings.

Consider this an update or a continuation of my article, A New World Order, 2003 which is available on this blog by clicking on the title above.
My articles here, in this blog are inter connected. Whether about society, economy, society, politics or religion, you can, or you should be able to see how one thing leads to another to another. When religion becomes accepting of lower moral values ( it is OK to sin since you are forgiven) it leads to personal and political corruption and destruction of society and family. Political corruption allows for laws, (gambling, usury interest rates, and payday loans) to be passed that let businesses and some individuals prey on the consumers, the people. People in this case are just as guilty, not working or not living within their means in most cases. Also not educating themselves and thus falling prey to the crooks. In the USA today, with free education available to all, no one has to be stupid, but then many chose to remain ignorant.
Somethings in human experience are more closer than you think, children in Gaza facing up to tanks and rockets, suicide bombers in Pakistan, Iraq or Afghanistan and the mass murderers of our own United States have somethings in common, they are desperate, they have nothing else to lose, they don't give a damn about anyone else and they are not looking for a compromise.
The world over, the dreams and aspirations of billions have suddenly been decimated. Billions of dreams of retirement ( forget a comfortable one), of a decent college education, providing for their kids, of owning a home, even of just having something to eat are lost.
We were promised a Shangri La, was it all a lie? Did any one "in the know" "know" anything? Is there anyone responsible for the mess we are all in? Who? Like I have said before, time and time again, the thieves that stole the goodies are in charge, they are in the White House, and the treasury, and the congress and the senate and the Federal Reserve.
But we have no time to go looking for anyone, we are free, are we not? we are free to fuck anyone we want, we have the freedom to get fucked, is that not enough?
We have been duped folks, we have been dumbed down, nay, we have been made brain dead, in the age of information and inter net, we have been made too stupid to even ask the right questions.We have volunteered to get a lobotomy thru our TV and our computer screens.

Still think children should be allowed to date and make a major decision as who to have sex with and when to have sex? We are not only putting our own kids in harms way, even though some stupid little bastard may write back that it is their choice and their right, then so it was the mans right and choice to kill his family right?
No one is immune from making stupid decisions, in this case he hurt many others too.

So lets all blame the guns, of course a gun was used to commit a crime, to kill five kids, and so was a bath tub used to kill the five kids (YATES) in Texas, should we ban the bath tubs too? Or the guy in Alabama who threw his four kids of a bridge, we should ban bridges too?
The real issues are, as always over looked in this modern society of pop psychology freaks. "Let's just ask Dr. Phil what the man was thinking. The real issues here are, one, the economic pressures, even if the man had been working could he really afford to have five kids, why does any one need five kids? How you support five kids, when you live in a trailer, go ahead say the kids would have been ok in a loving family, NOT! third world is full of loved and starving kids that are very much wanted.
Two, he was thirty five, that means when ever he was seventeen or eighteen he started making babies. What the heck any seventeen year old is doing making babies, he should have been school worried about getting good grades and getting in to college, but our culture, our failing culture has accepted it as fact the seventeen nay fourteen year olds NEED to be having sex, that is there human right,
May be he was tired already of having to support the kids, whom he probably believed to be the cause of his misery, so all you parents out there who think that it is cute to have your kids getting sex while in puberty, here is a lesson in what can happen, when you are using a gun of a different kind.
