GOD AND RELIGION AND THE MORAL MAN


Whenever the big bang happened, some fifteen billion years ago, some thing must have designed it. Even if the life was created on its own, here on earth and other places the dirt did not on its own designed the laws of physics and chemistry, without which the universe itself would be "without form and void". Even the occurrence of the big bang itself validates the existence of a force larger than itself, most people recognize it as "GOD" THOUGH THE NAMES MAY BE DIFFERENT.

Most of the humanity is obsessed with this "God", trying to curry favor as in the story of Cain and Abel. I am not here to knock someone's faith, only to make two points, first that it does not matter and second that He does not care, after that you can believe what you want and worship how ever you please, as long as you do not try to impose your faith, your way on everyone else, that is how we terrorize people and surely a good God ( the one the YOU believe in) won't want you to do that.

The absurdity of trying to detect what "God" wants is only superseded by "knowing" what He wants. The common monotheistic religions that claim to have "the knowledge" are full of contradictions and some outrageous claims.

Did Noah actually live to be nine hundred years old, or a community of men had children at the ages of one hundred thirty seven or even one hundred fifty seven? If one is to fast from sun up to sun down what does one do if living near the arctic circle with a day of twenty plus hours? Or how do you say five prayers when your day is four hours long or even less. How do you bury a dead before sundown on the day of his death when the ground is frozen. Surely God is reasonable, and people did not use to work in construction in hundred and thirty degree heat or fly jumbo jets.

Like I said on the Facebook, does anyone still write songs that have a meaning, a message? But that was about the Eagles tune, " Take It To The Limit", more particularly the part

"You can spend all your time making money
You can spend all your love making time
If it all fell to pieces tomorrow
Would you still be mine? "
and the answer in the United States to day will be a resounding NO.

But wait, the economy is on the mend is it not, or so we are told. Even though more banks are scheduled to fail yet. And they say fewer people are filing for unemployment benefits, I guess if you don't see that millions have already lost their jobs with no hope of ever going back to the same position, if you don't take in to account the people who were working "under the table", and the illegals. Should we care about these too?

Those who are professional critics of Obama always fail to mention that Obama is just another cog in the wheel, the down fall was already in progress, they fail to mention what if the Obama deficit spending was not happening where would be now, all Obama is doing is slowing the spiral down and buying time, it is slow death.

Economic recovery is a pipe dream now, we will not go back to the four percent unemployment, the house values will not recover in a life time , if ever, unless the inflation kicks in and the values of homes increase as a result, in worthless paper money.

How long can the charade go on ? We are spending monies we do not have, and the government wants to pay you to borrow money, (cash for clunkers, eight thousand for buying a home).

The housing prices are up, but that is from a fall of thirty five percent and even worse in many markets, many homes are being bought up by investors and speculators, the government said so itself.

MY GOD AND I


As we measure time, the story starts a long long time ago. It is a fault of the human imagination that we can never imagine time in billions of years, it is something like our own federal deficits hard to imagine and even harder to understand.

Try to imagine the vacuum of space, I know it is hard to understand the vastness, and then fifteen billion years ago a ball of dirt explodes, and out of this ball of dirt, the universe ( as we know it) is created, assuming here that you understand a bit about the universe as we know of it today.

Instantly we see there are laws of physics, and laws of chemistry, x rays and gamma rays and light are created, elements begin to form, yet ninety five percent of it is dark matter that we know nothing about, yet. And you say it all came from nothing,

You have just proven that there might be a God also. That if we all came about from noting there also could have been a God before all of this who designed the whole mess, Big Bang and space and vacuum and the laws of physics, all of it. Only problem is that we don't know anything about this God and this is where myself and most of the religions part company.

In our arguments, discussions, my religious friends do not understand how I can believe in a creator per se, that is not God in a way that they understand Him. I find it difficult that we as humans can understand or know God, as religious claim to "know" but at the same time say that we can not comprehend the mysteries of God that HE works in mysterious ways.

I am a person of logic, to see what makes sense and what does not, what is rational and what is not.



For me to understand a God that loves and chooses the same people that are most disobedient of Him, the ones that HE curses time and time again sending them seven plagues is a God who is obsessed of HIS own creation , a God in the role of a stalker, and a scorned lover. Man is left helpless but to be making excuses for his "cherished" God who can not be wrong and can do no wrong. Thus I say that God did not create man in His own image, but that the man created a God in his own image.

There are ancient texts that purport to explain the "God's Vision" of man kind and to explain what what God thinks as to how man should behave. We know the conficlicts and the confusions that are within these texts, but we carry on, believing and trusting these, we grow up with these and fail to disagree so as not to suffer the punishments promised within these texts.

I have previously shown how the practices of Leviticus do not seem to be the ones practiced by mono theistic believers, how The treatment of and adulteress shown in "Numbers" did not make sense, and how the Koranic texts carry conflicting messages.

Would a God that does not approve of taking other's property, send this message to His believers? Here we are talking attacking a people and taking their property, albeit these foes are non believers,

Call me what you will, I have a hard time believing that God wants animal or human sacrifices to be made in His name and the blood sprinkled at the alter and around the temple, that killed his "OWN" son, and that God wants you to rob others who are non believers. That is just my God.

This is not to say that I don't find some of these scriptures alluring and beautiful and wise in their understanding of the human situation and psychology, I have oft quoted from scriptures to validate my points about the need for morality, a "MORAL MAN" if you will.

GOOD NEWS, BAD NEWS
The good news is that the world may end on 20 December 2012, and the bad news, it just may not.

Remember what we were told about how the Soviet Union failed, It was said that they went broke, here we hear everyday that we are the richest nation on earth, but is the truth, do we not know any better?

There is no money, has not been in a long long time, yet the talk radio air heads want to blame all of it on Obama, The Americans must realize it was going to happen it was designed as such.

And this is not science fiction, "THERE IS NO MONEY". From coast to coast, our states are broke, cities are broke, social security os broke, medicare is broke, pension funds are broke. So no matter what the stock market looks like today, even the coporations are broke. Like I said before, many times, that the Dow looks good only because they replace the sick lame and broke companies with healthier ones so the numbers don't look bad, where the Dow thirty socks from ten years ago, twenty years ago, look and you will see the true value of the Dow today.


The story is that the US economy is consumer based, I agree, but then the consumer is broke, or losing their jobs, unemployment is going up so are the foreclosures, so the recovery is around the corner and the pigs have wings.

Are we stupid? Why not, we live in a country where we are releasing prisoners cause we don't have money to pay to keep them, but we have laws to ban sex toys but fornication ( pre marital and extra marital sex) is legal.

Sometimes I think that the problem with the United States is that it is run by "Americans". Years ago I predicted that the Pakistan is on the verge of becoming the next Somalia, my view has not changed. the country is not just poor, it is sick. The power is controlled by the few, so is the money. Politicians are in it for the power and to make money, not to bring democracy or freedom or to improve the lot of many( oh that sounds so much like us now doesn't it). And Pakistan's problem is not the Taliban (it is ours), it is then thousand other gangs of thieves and thugs that could go on a gang war that will make Mexico look like a day care play ground. There are private armies controlled by local landlords and may I say the "politicians".

I am sure Pakistanis(Zardari et all) have told Mr. Holbrooke, like Musharraf had been telling Bush, leave us alone and let us figure out what we can or can not do, or they should have.

For sixty two years the US has been playing the role of an on again of again boy friend to Pakistan, and like any good whore the Pakistani politicians have learned to play tha game,. when the US wants "some" they talk about the bills they need payed, that's all there is to the relationship, they know their place and know they are playing second fiddle to the Indians.

A THOUGHT ON APOSTASY

I wonder why one would feel like apologizing for Muslims and Islam, I also know the Robert Spencer , like Diana West, is Muslim hater and a liar. But it is also true, that when the acts of the Muslims are the Prima facie, then the acts speak for themselves. NO one wants to forget what the Americans did to Indians, or the blacks, it was the practice, even though a vast Majority of the Americans did not participate.

May be you and I can agree that there is no caliphate in existance today, may be even most if not all of the so called "Muslim" governments are not even legitimate and can not be called Islamic, the Sharia law should be suspended!

TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING


The idea of being in heaven is misunderstood, when you have no hunger, no need to want for anything and then , no memory of your relatives or care, no feeling whatever of your past, then you are not the human you once were, you are something else.

The idea that the man "by nature" knows the difference between good and evil is also an ancient construct, it was promoted by those who claimed that man was led astray be the devil or evil spirits even. When we started to believe in a God, then the devil had to be created also, by necessity, God could not have created an evil person, so there had to be a devil making him bad things.

The truth is that a person is born mostly as a blank slate. Most of what we learn is by observation and then upbringing. I have observed a child of four pull down his brefs and tell an attending nurse, " suck this bitch!" was this child evil? or was he born knowing the difference between good and evil? we can agree that neither is the case.We are a product of our surroundings, thus a child born in an "Islamic" family is neither a pious one by birth nor a future suicide bomber, not a doctor or a grocery store owner, motels are run by the Indians, I keep telling people. And this too again proves my point that we expect people to be a certain way. we stereotype and we are prejudiced.

Then is there is what happened in Cambridge, MA, in truth both sides were right, the black man thought the cop was prejudiced, he was, and the cop knew he was not going to let a "nigger" mouth off to him, and he showed him, everything else is a big lie!

You see this all has nothing at all to do with what I am about to say, but then it is also connected too.

Humans are dumb animals, we only know what we have been taught and behave in manners that are taught to us, even by force, as in the military or prisons.

Religions were created to keep us in line. For those who believe that the man has the knowledge of good and evil seem to forget that the humanity has been evolving for thousands of years and has establish the criterion for good and evil based upon the society and the circumstances of its existence, including geographical location, lack or existence of outside threats, and last but not least the belief in a deity or many. You will notice that in societies that had threats from outside required bravery and warring skills, and societies that were under threats from nature sometimes made human sacrifices, all of this had nothing to do with an inherent knowledge of good and evil.

Even as most of the humanity today believes in a common God, and the "Holy Books" most of the humanity also believes that we don't need any boundaries, that the sole purpose of mans' existence is to fulfill his or her own personal desires, at whatever cost. While we pay lip serice to global warming we do not want to cars or air-conditioning, We buy biggest house and waste things to make us feel "rich", we talk about corruption overseas and bribe our own leaders and re elect only the most corrupt.

A copy was sent to the Dothan Eagle, and the White House, and senator Shelby's office, then on May 4, 2007, I wrote about the crisis in health care,

I was also sent to the Dothan Eagle, then President Bush and the senator Shelby, later, early this year I submitted the copies to the President Obama and the congressman Bobby Bright.

You can read the articles your self, the bottom line is that no matter who's health care plan you are in favor off, soon we will have to have health care rationing, and yes euthanasia too, or OK, an early withdrawal of death prolonging care. If any one tells you any different , from the left or the right, they are lying.

We all know how bad Obama's plans are, so no use rehashing those, but the other side's plan? The mouth pieces of theopposition tell you they are different, that they won't "kill people" but they don't tell you that in this age of the internet and globalization, with jobs disappearing, never to come back, with lower wages and diminishing benefits, lower taxes are collected by the government for medicare and medicaid. Many emploeyers can not afford to provide health care benefits and the numbers of these employers are increasing, (airlines and auto industries for instance, isn't four dollar a gallon gas great for this country?) How and who will pay for health care?

Should we not pay for the children who are born to parents, or a single parent, that have no means of support and no plan to ever to go to work. How about the premature babies of crack heads and meth heads, welfare queens and thirteen year old mamas in our junior highs. How about the day laborers and the farm workers who never made enough money to buy health insurance or paid much in the medicare. Or that 35 year old loser drunk who drove across the median in to an on coming semi and will now cost 4 million in health care just so he can be a paraplegic and will need life time care of twenty four seven nurses. Or the eighty year nice lil grandma who never worked and now spends her days in a wheel chair drooling at the mouth.

These are just some of the choices we have, some choices we must make, on the right and the left, the rest is really easy. Ask Rush and Neal, and Obama too.

NO LIGHT AT THE END OF THIS TUNNEL

By the time I started my own blog here, I had already been writing for years to the local paper and posting on "the Slate.com". IN July 2005, I had published my book of poetry, which is mainly a critique of society and politics. Human habits change slow if the change is from bad to good, from good to bad it does not take half as long. It only took a few days for Moses to be away for the Israelites to take up the worship of "the golden calf".

I keep trying, not to find converts to anything, not for a flock of followers, but for some, a few may be to see the light.

We today, as a nation are obsessed about the health care reform, But no one, Not even Obama, the president, is honestly talking about how we will pay for a system that promises to keep everyone alive for ever, no matter the cause or illness. But here is the kicker, what is the Republican plan, in a free market based plan that purports to pay for anyone for any sickness will have unlimited premium ceiling, and secondly, extremely ill persons will be ( as they are already) dumped on to medicare or medicaid which are both already on the verge of bankruptcy. This the question not ever posed to or by the Republican Mouth pieces ( Rush Limbaugh, or the John "Bonehead" Beohener)

Then there is the economy, today the report said the we lost another quarter million jobs last month, that was good news, great news really, stocks were up and most wonderfully, the jobless rate went down?????? , how in the hell? but who cares, we are a nation of idiots, we believe whatever someone else can tell us, or will, and they all do. Bring out the dancing girls!?

What you would expect in an economy that has already lost ten million jobs, we cannot lose seven hundered fifty thousand jobs a month for ever, but the slow grind continues, for how long, no one really knows, but we know the tax receipts are down and the federal deficits are burgeoning, how long can you tread water, before you drown.

The light at the end of this tunnel hangs from a granite wall!

Just recently, JULY 29, 2009, I had published my article "WHO IS? of September, 5, 2006, both articles deal with falsehoods of peoples beliefs in their own salvation at the expense of religious freedom and equality. It is not to defend any faith, and most certainly to excuse or make light of the obnoxious acts of murder committed in the name of any God, whosoever. It must, however, be expected of Muslim and all other religious and political authorities to speak out loud and even in religious terms against religious violence. We, the Humanity, must demand of our own political and religious leaders leaders to declare an end to religious violence and a full and honest accounting for such deeds and full prosecutions of the perpetrators.

CASH FOR CLUNKERS

So I went out and in the spirit of helping the environment and the economy bought a new car trading in my eight hundred dollar vehicle for four thousand five hundred dollars, tax free.

So did the congress succeed in its dual goals of helping the economy and the environment, I believe not. Mine was not the worst vehicle on the road by far, only older, it still had good mileage, well, decent, it was in good repair, and was not the vehicle with the worst mileage or exhaust on the road, someone could have used it for a long time still, for transportation while taking a worse vehicle off the road.

I think the program could have been better, and IF the government comes out with a similar plan again, the dealer should be allowed to let a poorer person with a worse vehicle get a better vehicle that has been traded in, and get the really bad one off the road. May be the Red Cross, or the United Way, or even a church could help by taking the trade in vehicle like the one I had, and let someone else with a really bad vehicle (with similar registration and insurance requirements) swap theirs out for free. Then the agency or church could sell the vehicle for junk to a junkyard. That would really help clean up the environment and help out a lot more people than the ones who would have been buying a new car soon any way.
