EYES WIDE SHUT
Regardless of what else you believe, there is a great problem coming up that must concern every living human being. We all can not live on this earth together. No I am not joking, it is just not possible for the human race to survive much longer in the form and the manner that we live in. Time and again I have discussed the problems of population, but our leaders, of all nations, of all colors and creeds refuse to openly inform the people of the dangers of the demise of man kind at its own hands.
How is that we think that a world can go on where seventy percent of the population does not even have enough to eat three times a day? Where just two percent of the population owns more than fifty percent of the wealth, and just the top ten percent of the people in the world own more than ninety percent of wealth. Should there be a method of distributing this wealth more equitably? Yes, I think so. But how? From whom do we take this money and give it to who? Should we take the money from the rich countries or the rich individuals? And how it will be used to better the lives of others? And in which countries? For what kind of populations? Do we have enough money to help EVERYONE?
United Nations and its member countries are forever paying lip service to the eradication of poverty but there are no practical solutions being proposed and no one really wants to tackle the problem, thus fulfilling my longtime prophecy.
1. the world today is too complicated a place for a person of average intelligence
2. if 1 is true, then we are a point in evolution where the mankind will split along the smart and dumb intelligence line and the dumb ones will fall by the wayside
3. the world today is over populated and that many of us exist as slaves and don’t even realize this, and, that many of us are slaves by choice.
If the truth were being told, you would know that we are setting the stage for massive starvation ( look below at “the fool’s gold”). You would have been told that in the next twenty years or less the cars, as we know them, will not exist. That by the year 2050, man will be hunting man as a food to eat. But then you might turn off the TV and stop buying the crap on the super stores shelf and ask questions, and might even demand action to save the planet for your children and mine.
Take a look around you, there are no free countries, no free people. Governments are more and more in control of peoples lives, and these governments in turn are controlled, even owned by the big money. Your opportunity for a decent job, decent education and a decent future is more and more limited. Earlier I have discussed as to how one can only become rich by employing more and more people (“Death of America, the economy“), and paying them less and less for their (work) job, ( a smaller portion of the value added by one’s labor). I have talked of how Africa will be allowed to die off (The New World Order, 2003), I have talked about how local cultures are being destroyed, I have talked about how if we keep buying goods and services made by the slave like labor we will also end up being the slaves.
And we are, we do, thirty years ago in the United States if you were making a hundred thousand a year you were rich, really rich, today if you make a hundred grand you can barely pay the mortgage on a new dwelling and purchase new auto mobile. But if you work for some one today for a hundred thousand plus, you know you are working like a dog to earn it. And how do you think the ones making fifteen or twenty thousand a year are living. If you live in an industrialized country and are really proud of your standards of living, just remember soon you will be replaced by a computer, or some one somewhere who can barely speak English, but that is only for now mind you soon, real soon , you too will be out on the street scratching your ass wondering “ and I thought I had it made with my degree”. When putting you out of work is really Saving money, and you thought just buying more crap than you need at a “super center “ was IT.
If you are a doctor, you must make event the poorest pay in full for your services, because you have expense like tuition for your kids, and the club memberships, the mortgage etc. If you are an engineer you are probably designing systems to put more people out of work, or to make them more “productive”. If you are a store manager you are being made to make people hard as you can and cheat them out of overtime and to make them work part time thus without benefits. Many organizations, from the Burger King and Wal-Mart to the Subway do not like to pay over time or health benefits to anyone. An average manger today is the same as a slave driver of the biblical times.
Our leaders have for ever talked about the new consumers, new markets,
in Mexico, and in China, and India. It was twenty years ago when I protested against this lie, that is, if the people in those markets don not have any money, and if we do not pay them money ( have them earn a decent living and a generous wage) what will they buy from us, in reality we have only set up our own economy for a down fall. Today we are running up bigger and bigger trade deficits against China, and India and others. Only thing that is keeping the US economy afloat is the tremendous borrowing by the US government and the US consumers. All the while, the rich and the ultra rich (foreign and domestic) are loaning us money so they can own our futures. The situation (of our people and of our country) is no different than the situation of the share-croppers in India who end up having to sell their children to the land lord or their daughters into prostitution, just that we really do not have “A REAL NEED” to borrow money.
The president has been bragging as to how great the economy is doing, but he fails to tell us that he is spending money we do not have, that he is blowing our social security money, he claims that seventy percent of the Americans own their own homes while forgetting to mention that most of them are over their head in mortgage while the assumed real estate boom has jacked up the prices of houses and the idiots (home owners) have been borrowing against the unrealized gains in their home prices. As the decline in the real estate markets grows we could have a domino effect, causing bankruptcies for many many families. While some are advocating a housing bail out, it will only exacerbate the federal deficit problems, and sooner or later the high interest rates will have to be instituted to keep the inflation down, it will be again like back in the eighties , just worse.
Many among the believers are always waiting for the dooms day , the dooms day is at hand , but it will be nothing like in the Bible or Koran etc. We are writing the recipe for our own demise.
IT IS NOT HOW I SAY YOU SHOULD LIVE, IT IS NOT HOW I WANT YOU TO LIVE, BUT THIS THE WAY YOU WILL LIVE

To Varma and all
Varma stated
But what Hindus didn't realize yet is the fact that Adharma, lies, unjustice has come in the form of Islam and they need to do their duty of protecting the Dharma from this barbaric murderous ideology which encourages its followers to wipe out other non muslims from the face of the earth..
There is still no religion India except traditions and cultures Hinduism is a wasy of life never made by anybody...
but one thing is sure, that Isalm has been created by a sub human, pedophile, rapist, mass murderer, Mohammad, who lusts for his sons wife... Islam is not even create by a human it wa created by a sub human a pshycopath who didn't distinguis between a daughter and wife, and like a sexual maniac went after ever women in his sorrowful life
Please!
get your facts right
religions were not created by any "gods" or "GOD",
as you say there are many problems with Islamic ideology, may be, but get your facts right please, even if Mohammed had a wife that was 12 years old, do not many girls that age and much younger get married today in India, Mohammed did not have a son, so he could not have lusted after his son''s wife, In Hindu religion a wife is obligated to kill her self in her husbands funeral pyre, do you deny that, even today thousands of hindu women suffer that fate, a widow in hindu religion is worthless. The Hindu caste system is still practiced today, and there are millions of Hindus that are considered untouchables, true?
Hindu tradtion of paying a man to marry one's daughter ( dowery) is still in practice, and as seeped into the traditions of Hinsuised Islam of Indo- Pakistan, is that not a fact? Today many Hindu families can not get a suitable man to marry their daughter if the family of the girl does not have enough money, even if the girl is otherwise beautiful and smart. Hindu wives as well as Muslm wives in India and Pakistan are abused by their husbands and in- laws without any mercy or recourse this goes from beatings to burnings with fire and acid, shame! Did not the Hindu God say that the Earth rests on the horn of a cow? Need i go on?
Be honest to your self, the one who thinks of fooling others is always fooling only one's self. Religions, all religions were created by man to control the society's wayward ways, that's all,, today we just set up newer laws, God, if ther be one, does not give a damn, thank you

Islam in the modern world
Islam and the Modern World
May I be so bold as to tell my Islamic friends about their own faith and beliefs and their religion, and if do, as I intend to in this space, then please take is as an open minded observation of the facts and not as a criticism, or as me trying to tell you what to do.
A religion such as Islam or Christianity or Judaism is a construct, based on ideas of humanity of ancient times. For instance, Moses did not start Judaism or any other religion as a matter of fact. Moses was BORN a Jew, in to the beliefs of his fore fathers, The Torah existed before Moses came. Also Jesus Christ himself ( if there were ever one that existed) did not start a religion called Christianity or write a book nor was Jesus GIVEN a book that is called the Bible, this also is a known fact.
A study of Islam tells us how to conduct ourselves. A study of Islam also tells us that The Prophet Mohammed, as we know him was an honest man, not given to lying. We also learn that The Prophet Mohammed was basically illiterate. Does that mean that he was stupid, or had no desire to learn or was precluded from a desire to learn of the world around him? We must assume that the answer would be “NO”.
We know that the Koran does not cover all the possible questions in one’s daily life and there the Muslims refer to the biography of the Prophet, and to the Hadith to search for the answers. Thus one must assume that Prophet was not only given to receive the word from the “god” himself but that the Prophet was also a philosopher and an independent thinker. And we also must assume him to be a learner and an observer, as he lacked a formal education in the matters of the world.
We also see that the Prophet was against ignorance, as the first word of the prophecy directs him to “Read”, and the time before his prophecy is referred to as the time of darkness, thus ignorance is called “the darkness, without light”.
Then why the Muslims today are so hell bent on reverting to the time of “Jahalia”. Why is it that the educated and the uneducated alike, among the Muslims want to bring the world from the light of the knowledge to the throes of the darkness.
For one it works for the political elite to pay lip service to the basic rules of Islam, to say that they are fighting for “true Islam” while they rape and pillage their own countries and populations. Remember Idi Amin? Remember Saddam Hussain praying at Mecca after he murdered tens of thousands of his own country men and no one, not one Muslim leader religious or political stood up in the town square or at an Islamic or Arab league summit called him for what he was a tyrant, a murderer and you know why? Because it was ok long as he was killing the Sheia and the Kurds. Today’s civil war in Iraq has its roots in his bloody reign of terror.
It is not that the Prophet was lacking in smarts and common sense. That time and again he showed his reasoning ability and the knowledge acquired through observation of the peoples, circumstances and situations and had the ability to judge the consequences and reactions of both the positive and the negative actions. The Prophet was a peace maker and was able to compromise when there was a need for such. I find no record of him personally slashing or ordering the slashing of a persons throat, or ordering one be stoned to death. I am, however, positive that in his own kindness he would have found such an action abhorrent, and beneath the dignity of a “human”.
Though I agree that the so called “modern freedom” of the West, which has been translated into nothing more than crass and debasing sexuality and exploitation of the females can not continue for long without the self destruction of society, I also find the shoving back of little girls ( or even grown and naked females for that matter) into burning school building because they were not properly covered, un Islamic, in humane and stupid.
Another exhibition of the stupidity over taking the common sense is the example of the slaughter of millions of animals at the time of the Eid al Adha. Do you really believe that the God and his Prophet would have asked people to waste money on this “sacrifice” while millions of people are stuck in refugee camps after the tsunami in the far east and the earthquake in Kashmir. So where were these people the ones that give out fatwa’s at the drop of a hat? Assuredly they have no such communication with God as they would like you to believe when they issue fatwa’s for killing other human beings, surely hundreds of lives, nay thousands would have been saved by the proper use of the monies spent in the name of the same God.
Shamefully, many Muslims do not dare stand up for the right and for the justice and perform the true and honest “Jihad”. While the ignorant believe that the murder and the mayhem is the message of the religion of peace.
Tens of thousands protested the cartoons of the Holy Prophet published in a foreign land, but when the girls and women are raped by mob in Pakistan, in the name of justice no Muslim marches are called for anywhere. In Pakistan and India Muslim woman are burnt and beaten because there parents did not give them enough dowry. And I am still looking for a reference in Islam where parents must pay a man to come have sex with their daughter, oh this is not what a dowry is, you say. It is what it is, the Muslim girls parents in Pakistan and India want the best prostitute their money can buy to have sex with their daughters, and many men with degrees are only too willing to be that prostitute, you may even call him the bride groom, we call it a prostitute in English.
And speaking of prostitutes, what is this with the ladies in Islamabad taking over a brothel, if you have the time and have the energy to fight corruption then go and protest the landlords in Punjab and Sindh where they rape and abuse the women folk of the share croppers at will. And protest the suicide bombings that create more widows and orphans to be abused by the powerful. They should be protesting against the religious schools where the young boys are raped and abused by their Koran teachers and trained to kill innocent human beings.
Muslims are silent about Darfur, where Black Muslims are killed and raped and burned by the Brown Muslims while the same government is about ready to punish two women for adultery without punishing the men. Surely there must be some Muslims out there that will understand that all this does not show Islam in a favorable light.
And all of this brings me to this point, that the exploitation of the peoples be it in in the name of Islam, or in the guise of freedom, as practiced in the West today, is wrong and immoral. Since, however, I am writing here for a mostly Arab and mostly Muslim audience I will focus on the problems in Islamic society.
Hypocrisy is the ultimate form of self delusion. One must assume that everyone else is too stupid to recognize the difference between what one says and what he is doing. Having said that let me also say that the today’s Muslims from all walks of life, from all the various countries, races, colors and sects, from a poor Bangela-deshi to Mr. Indina- Benzin either do not understand Islam, the message and the meaning or just want it applied to others only.
First of all some Muslims believe that God Himself can be bribed, since many of today’s Muslim society function with bribes, or the alternate form that is conveniently referred to as commission, Muslims no longer see any problem with dealing in bribery, even with the prohibition against it in the Hadith. So it is that the people with money think that they can buy God’s goodwill and forgiveness by just giving monies to charity. So we have Muslims who drink, and fornicate and visit child prostitutes in foreign countries with impunity, all the while “knowing” that God will forgive them is they spend a few dollars on charity.
In Islam a bad deed (sin) can be off set by a good deed (i.e. charity) , thus most of the Muslims think it is ok to commit sins ( to include taking bribes, being unfair and cruel to the poor, abusing the power and authority) if you have enough money to give some of the money of it the charity or perform Al-Hajj). Now here is the problem, when the sinful Muslims give to charity, they usually end up giving money to the religious schools and the mosques that do not actually educate the poor, but teach them only the radical types of Islam, these schools are usually the places where children and sexually and physically abused and molested and beaten, and once this “education” is finished these poor are ready to do the most horrible crimes in the name of Islam. The pleas of Islam and the prophet not withstanding. TE MUSLIMS WITH MONEY ARE MAKING DAILY DOWN PAYMENTS TO GET THEIR OWN THROATS CUT.
Up until very recently history Islamic nations have generally been poor, Islamic countries did not become industrialized, and followed a agrarian, feudal system with most of the land being owned by a few. Now with the finding of oil in a few Arab lands, and foreign travel Muslims have money in a long while. Before the discovery of oil most of the oil rich countries never had any money, the Saudi’s were dependent on the charity of the visiting Muslim Hajj, and the people of the gulf countries including Kuwait survived on the subsistence fishing and diving for pearls. Today the oil rich countries do not consider the poor Islamic countries worthy, and from the Indonesian house maids to the Pakistani and Palestinian doctors and engineers are looked down upon as low brow and lower human forms.
The investment in the poorer Islamic countries by the oil rich Islamic countries has suffered also because even the best and the most educated in these countries are not too shy to cheat their own brother or to scam and steal from the same. Truth and Honesty is not the most common forte of the Muslim. Shocked?
The second problem of this newly minted rich people, be it the people with the oil money, or the people that live like slaves in the slums of oil rich countries to earn money so they can go back to their homes in India and Bangladesh and Egypt and Syria and lord over the poor, buying up land and big houses and showing off their new riches and there by making the local poor even more miserable.
The holier than thou attitude of the Muslims is so prevalent at all levels that it is close to bordering insanity, the suicide bombings being one indication, there are no questions, no doubts, with all the evident screw ups there are no Muslims to stand up and say what is wrong, and of course if a Muslim were ever to dare speak up the same Muslims, commoners and the leaders, will shut him down if not, a worse misfortune may befall him. If a culture, a regime or a people can not be criticized, then that regime and culture and the people is doomed.
An example of the middle class being quiet about the unfairness and injustice in the Islamic countries is that of Pakistan where the poor defendants are regularly beaten till they confess. Defendants are kept in filthy conditions and regularly raped ( men, women and children included), and sodomised and tortured without any recourse and without anyone complaining. More recently there are protests going on in Pakistan about the removal of the chief justice there by the president. Lawyers by the thousands are protesting against this action, but there have never been any mass protestations about the sorry state of the whole justice system. By the way the justice is similarly doled out in many Islamic countries.
One could go on and on about what has happened to the message of the Prophet, Islam today is a religion in name only, adhered to a bunch of self serving morons who are to sorry to face the truth of their own reality. There are no Islamic leaders, no Islamic preachers and there is no Islamic doctrine. Islam as a religion is used by some as means to control the poorer populations, and to oppress the women and minorities, and to abuse little kids. Islam in the twenty first century has become a message of death and destruction, used by a bunch of self serving loons who will either take it all or destroy it all. The message of oneness and cooperation and brotherhood, of honesty and equality and fairness, and sharing, of the laws and of justice is useless among a people of whom the message of God to his prophet stated, “ sumun, bukmun , umyun, fahum la yakellon”. There are no wise councils to speak, there are no ears open for righteous advice, and there ar no longer eyes that seek or see the truth. In the modern world Islam has died. Islam no longer exists.
May I be so bold as to tell my Islamic friends about their own faith and beliefs and their religion, and if do, as I intend to in this space, then please take is as an open minded observation of the facts and not as a criticism, or as me trying to tell you what to do.

SALVATION
SALVATION
Oh that
I would be dead,
saved from the gallows
by the hangman
my own executioner
and the torment continues
banished to a life
of my solitary confinement
I who consumed the word
drank at the fountain of the knowledge
lie alone under the blackened skies
looking at the vastness of this hell
punishment unrelenting
for my sin,
for the one who dared
to seek the truth,
speak of the unjust god
cruelty of mankind
how do I trust
a god of mercy
that killed his own son
the creator of evil
and hell
for my salvation

Free Speech

FREE SPEECH
In all decent and free societies, free speech is an acceptable form of expression. But it also implies that free and decent people will speak for the common good of ALL people, passing gas is not a form of free speech or of acceptable behavior, nor is nudity, public sex or public masturbation no matter how much relief it may provide oneself. It is hoped that free and decent people will keep these guidelines in minds before they unzip their fly or their mouth.
It appears then that not all people are capable of decency or a mature discourse to the benefit of the society, nor are they willing to keep a decorum and maintain the boundaries of “decency”. It also appears that the name of free expression and free speech is either misunderstood or abused, and also that we have not set any criterion as to who may use the privileges of free speech or whether there should be any restriction on the use of this privilege.
As is currently our custom, we allow just about anyone to say anything at all. I am, myself, a member of the ACLU and a big supporter of free speech, but it seems that many of the people using the privileges of this free speech thing have no clue as to what is or is not appropriate. Let’s say for example I go by the school to pick up my child and I see a pre teen girl in a tank top with something like this written on, “cheer leader” sounds innocuous enough now does it not? Of course it does, unless you are a pervert “like me” and think that cheerleader is a short way a saying a slut or an easy lay. Then come to think of it, you don’t have to be a pervert to assume this, it is culturally acceptable fact of our society is it not? We, generally think of cheer leaders of being a bit slutty and easy. Now the argument could be made in either direction, the girl has a right to wear the attire, and I have the right to assume she is being, (in this case actually being abused by her parents) innocent and does not mean anything by the saying on her attire. So O.K. What if a lady is wearing shirt saying I am the best fuck in my county, or some such saying, is she advertising for a mate? Expressing an opinion? Could we sue her for enticement to an immoral act? Can she be “raped”?
I was at the mall and walked in to a clothing store, I saw a young female child of about ten with her, what I assumed to be her grandma. The girl was dressed in what I think were extremely short cut shorts, tight to the skin, with the very small impression of what the movie “The Weather Man” called the camel’s foot. I was almost tempted to walk up to the grand ma and ask her what she was charging for the child’s services. You say “what”? Well if it is not child abuse to let a child dress like that, and it is a form of free expression then why I don’t get the right to express myself just as freely with out the fear of rapprochement.
We live in a society today where Mary covered in dung or a cross in piss and sex acts in public are considered art and a form of free expression. Then why not rape be a form of free speech, or child molesting or walking naked in the park or on the street, or how far are we from that point?
And hey, why not murder, of course it is also a form of expressing one’s self is it not?
The point I am trying to make here is, I guess, that no free speech is not unlimited, there have been, there are, and that there should be some restraints on the so called free speech.
Previously, in all societies there have been norms and standards of acceptable behavior. Today many claim that the “Ten Commandments” were given to man by his God to be the foundation of acceptable behavior, whether or not that is true, this much we can not deny that a society can not exist if there is a lot of lying cheating stealing and fornication is going on (some Muslim, Jewish and Christian societies today do not believe that God was right and try to prove Him a liar). In that vane we keep pushing the limits of what is acceptable as free speech.
The Dichotomy. There are things in life that common sense tells us that they must be mutually exclusive, the irony is that there also some people that will argue on both sides of the argument without batting an eye never able to perceive the fallacy of their own beliefs.
The argument goes that there are people who by birth station or color of their skin or place of origin are at a disadvantage in our society, and that the government must step in to help out these people in education and job placement and such. Now the same people that make this kind of an argument will also step in and tell you that ALL people are equal and thereby should be treated equally, now how can you make both of these statements and be right on both counts?
Do we not know that by definition one half of the people are less smarter than the other half (average intelligence), then are these two halves equal? Should they be paid equally, and more so that their work and efforts are equally worthy?
If you say yes, then please get your help form the lower half of the IQ scale and let me have the ones with a bit better knowledge.
No not everyone is created equal, take away her six hundred million dollar estate and Paris Hilton is nothing but white trash, true, but for the time being with all her money she is not treated the same as any other down home worthless slut. We are not all created equal!
We must consider then what the idea of free speech really means, the governments and the societies already are trying to restrict what is acceptable or not, free speech should not be hurtful or degrading or enticing or inciting. We must respect the feelings of others, peoples, cultures, values etc. Our right to free speech must not impose on others to accept you while you insult and degrade their values and beliefs. I do not have to accept your crap if you do not wish to accept mine, we could both agree on some limits to our behaviors.

Breaking the Bank
It was about fifteen months ago when I asked Senator Shelby as to when the federal government spends the borrowed money (budget deficits), where does all that money end up at? Well there are many ways you can word this question, many ways to define the deficits, and there are many stories the government tells us about the deficit spending, but the end results are always the same and it seems that the money also ends up in the same pockets, sooner or later.
Our government is more broke than any other government on the face of the earth, in as much as the number of dollars owed and promised to be paid back at some time in the future. There is no money in the social security fund, to pay back the working poor and persons from so called lower middle class, who slaved for years for meager wages for a promise that they will be taken care of in their old age. That money has already been spent many times over, our federal government is the hook for the under funded retirement funds, the FHA loans, the VA loans, the Medicare and the monies owed to the foreign governments and banks for the merchandise bought and sold in retail stores, what we call the trade deficit or current accounts deficit.
As our MBA president brags about our booming economy, if he were to be honest he would be crying real tears for how broke we are, and that the house of cards that the Republicans (with help of sell out Democrats) have built could come down any time at the whim of a foreign or domestic banker or currency trader or the Chinese or Japanese Government.
Since Mr. senile, the President Reagan, declared that the deficits do not matter, that the tax cuts increase the government income, that the global economy is good for every body, that the workers are fools to ask for a decent living wage and can be replaced by slaves in other countries, we have been on a non-stop down hill slide, and like the children of the story of the Pied Piper, we have been a nation glee fully running along to our own national demise.
Our leaders are not giants nor geniuses, they are not gods nor angels, and as such Reagan was an old man with a sense of humor (to make up for his total lack of real knowledge), till he passed into the onset of Alzheimer’s while still in office. If we were to admit the truth that he was not an economic genius who parroted what he was told to believe with a smile on his face. If you believe that cutting taxes actually increases the revenue to the governments coffers then to you Saudi Arabia is nothing but a thousand mile wide beach. What we forget is that under Reagan the government accumulated a trillion dollar deficit. That under Reagan the bank reserve requirements were trimmed, that under Reagan we started to “borrow” money from the social security deposits, without telling the public that it was also a part of deficit spending, that the new banking regulations under Reagan allowed banks to create money on demand, and as such money existed if you wanted it, no need for anyone to save any longer. That under Reagan the stock market truly became a gambling joint.
SO WHO SHOULD PAY FOR THE SUB STANDARD MORTGAGE LOAN LOSSES? There have already been calls for the federal governments to step in bail out the mortgage and banking industry. Does anyone remember we have been here before? Does any one remember the Silverado Savings and Neal Bush, or John McCain and the Keating Five? Michael Milkin anyone? Didn’t the federal government just bail out the fools already? And who gets stuck with the bill? Not the rich mind you because they can not pay taxes , they need tax cuts right?

dear Leillathanks you, for stopping by and i hope you are well strangely my name is NOT Qais, even though a " the prophet" is always also a "majnoon".my message is the same, the westren culture is not a solution to our problems, nor is it the Islam of today, Sheia and Sunni both are on a path to self destrucion, and the problem isnot with a religion it is with greed (money)and powerpoor are abused in Islam as well as Christianity, Judism, Hinduism capitalism and yes in Communism, whether there be any gods or not, a hell or not, a heaven or not, we must have standards of behavior because we ARE humans, and without a code of ethics, without a standard of morals, and without fairness and equality no society can exist for long, today all of humanity is one societysincerelyyour uncle, the prophettombstone001.blogspot.com

A Fool's Gold
Give or take a few hundred million, today the earth is inhabited by about six and a half billion people. That is estimated to be as many people as have ever inhabited this planet over the millennia since its existence. Although with the technology, and medicine people are living healthier and longer lives. There are probably more millionaires, per capita than ever, we have bigger houses, more cars, more airplanes, etc, etc. We also have more poor, more starvation and more people who are sicker than ever.
Whether you are a fan of global warming or not, that is a totally different issue, there are other consequences of this population boom that do not bode well for our future, that is the future of the mankind as a whole.
And this brings me to the recent editorial in “The Dothan Eagle” of Friday February 16, 2007, “ Biofuel research must be a top priority”. I admit that most of it is well thought out and well intentioned, it still leaves out a few problems and concerns that I have with promoting the Biofuel idea as an alternative to the “black gold”.
As we, at the behest of our beloved decider, jump head long into the research and conversions in to Biofuel arena we must consider a few other points. Your editorial already mentions the increase in the cost of corn due to the ethanol production and the cost of tortillas in Mexico, here are a few other items that needs to be considered.
Whether we use the corn or the switch grasses to produce the ethanol, the price of corn will stay up as the land being used to produce corn for the fuel will be used to grow switch grasses, thus the increase in food prices will be the same or similar no matter what we use to produce that fuel. We already see the price of eggs and poultry going up, and surely the cereals, the price of beef and the soft drinks will also go up as the price of corn syrup used in the soft drinks climbs, ethanol also is more expensive to produce than the gasoline and is less efficient, as you correctly noted in your editorial.
We must also keep in mind that even as ethanol is cleaner burning, the fuel is not less polluting to the environment, as to grow more and more organic materials to produce ethanol we will need more and more fertilizers and insecticides and thus directly pollute the under ground water reservoirs and rivers and the oceans, endangering the aquatic life and our own lives also.
As the competition grows for the land use, as to what we need more, the fuel or the food, the price of food articles will keep growing and become almost prohibitive for the poor, or just like in South America we will be forced to cut down the forests to grow these new crops, or let people go hungry. We have always sent our surplus crops to the starving around the world, with a switch to the biofuels we will endanger our own people. Will our elders and the poor on limited incomes still be able to eat?
Will we increase the minimum wage and social security benefits yet again to cover the cost of new more expensive fuel and the cost of food? How will we explain to the starving that they can not eat so as we can still drive our SUVs? What will we do when the fish populations start to die in our rivers because they have become more polluted with the fertilizers and insecticides?
The true and the only solution to our predicament of dependence on foreign oil is to reduce our “addiction” to oil, foreign and domestic. And we can start that by improving public transportation, making smaller cars, using less drive through’, and yes imposing higher and higher taxes on gas to be used for improved public transport. Would you believe a four dollar a gallon gasoline/ diesel tax will give us better and less congested roads, clean the air, give us better transportation systems, actually reduce poverty, and help bring many of our jobs back from over seas, will force Wal- mart into smaller stores, cut our dependence on the Arab oil, reduce terrorism, keep the Arabs from buying out the United States, and tell Hugo Chavez where to get off at.
If we do follow the road to the biofuel heaven, the over all cost increase in foods and fuel and the environmental damage will be the same as a four dollar a gallon fuel tax.
So how patriotic are YOU feeling today?

Back Down on the Earth
Back down on the Earth
My sympathies and condolences to Lisa Nowak and her family, the NASA and the Navy, and to our country. I hope that the judge will find that Lisa was suffering a major depression episode or PTSD and needs psychological treatment and counseling more than she needs being sent to a jail cell. One could argue that she committed a major crime, and yes, I agree, but do you not think that her sudden fall from grace is punishment enough? Surely she will never fly again, let alone be an astronaut, surely she will be retired by the Navy, may be after a small punishment under UCMJ. She would have been going places, as a professor in a military college, or a high level position in NASA, or a consultant. And for a great loss to the little girls everywhere, to whom she will never be invited to speak about the space and the stars and careers, about dreaming big. Now she is going no where, literally.
A genuine star has fallen.
How much more punishment does she deserve. And who among us does not know of a case or two where the system let a few pass through with a slap on the wrist, and if any one ever deserved a break I thinks Lisa and her children have earned this one.
I really do feel sorry for the other girl also, and hope she recovers fine from her shock and can continue, happily, with her own life.
What has bothered me the most about this incident is how it reflects upon the women under stress, in authority, and on our culture.
I personally know, and who does not, of many many incidents of spousal infidelity, even within the ranks of our military, of which I am a part of. I also am a father of two daughters that I would like to see go places, to be the lawyers and doctors and senators and judges. But I would also like them to have some sense of morality, decency and a modicum of modesty, even at the risk of sounding a bit “old fashioned”.
It is not that I am a religious being, I do “however” fully believe that it is the morals and the decency and the self control and certain standards of conduct, that make us humans, superior to our other fellow animals.
I also do not believe that one should be stoned to death, or even jailed for a romantic indiscretion, divorced, yes, murdered, no, even if that is what the “gods” have decreed.
But what, if any part of the blame for what Lisa did can be laid at our own feet as a society, we told her she was great, she could do things that ordinary humans don’t do, she was not an ordinary human being. But at the same time, we also live in a society that preaches “it is all about me”. That you can have “everything” you want. We are a society that says if you are a successful woman you can also have any man you want, whether you are a CSI girl, an Alley Mc Beal, or just a “Desperate House Wife”.
And it is not just the women that are doing it, from Newt Gingrich and John McCain and Rudi Giuliani to Bill Clinton, all have had the same idea. Is this the cost of progress? We are willing to destroy lives, destroy relationships, destroy families. I hope this is not a watershed, I hope that we decide that women can also progress without losing their sensibilities, I hope my daughters are still given the opportunities to succeed to the best level of their own capabilities. I hope that our daughters and sisters and mothers and wives are no longer taught that their only mission in life is to get sex, or just to satisfy another person sexually.

Thinking
Why does man think that there is a reason? Bob L. asked me about my beliefs. Do I believe in God, well what can I say, if there is a God, such as the one mentioned in the Koran, and the Bible and the Torah. If there is a "God" that created the heaven and the earth we don't have a clue as to why he created man. Despite the explanations of the "prophets" I doubt if the prophets themselves had a clue.
Why for instance there must be a reason for the existence of man. We wonder, and we wonder because "we can think", and we can reason, thus we think that their must be a reason for our own existence also. Also if there IS a reason for our existence, then we are important. But can you explain why there are galaxies by the billions, in space, that are going around and going away and being established and being torn down, surely they are much more massive than any of us, and much more powerful in the amount of the gravity they create, the mass that they hold, the energy they generate, has anyone ever thought of why they exist? Why there is a Jupiter or a Mars? Exactly. Man is not thinking about any of it, man is so self loving, so self absorbed that he can only think of himself in all the cosmos.
And if there is no reason at all for this all, then what? why? No one wants to believe that we don't want to live for ever, that we die and then we are dirt, we want to believe that we will live on, didn't the ancient Egyptians prepare themselves for an after life? What the monotheism offered of a life in the here after was not a new concept man already "KNEW" that life continues, man had always been scared of dying.
Gods also have always walked the Earth, Buddha was a God Man, so was Krishna, and Rama and probably others we have never heard of. There are suicide bombers that go out to kill innocents thinking that is what God would want them to do. There are those who "Believe" that going to Iraq and getting caught in a crossfire is what God wants them to do through the most recent disciple "the President".
We don't believe that what we do on this Earth is futile. No matter the riches we have or earn, the degrees, the children we still die, right?
Much as I think, and I write and talk to others, I for one am most assured that I do not make any difference, and I am willing to live with it.

WORRIED ABOUT THOSE MUSLIMS?
So are we to worry about Islam? And the so called Muslims and their religion that is about to " take the world over". I 'ld say not. I believe that in about the next fifty years, Islam would have ceased to be a religion, and most of it's followers would have either converted or self destructed, either way Islam would no longer be a danger that it is toady to the world peace, to itself and to the planet.
In the history of the world, no society has ever survived a fifty year civil war, without the total destruction of many of its previous institutions. And what we have in Islam is not a resurrgence, it is not the re affirmation of the basic roots of the faith.
As I have said elsewhere before, life is a game of connect the dots, if you don't connect the dots completely or properly you don't see the whole picture.
More than being a religion about God, Islam told it's followers to take care of the poor and the weak, to be generous, to be kind and forgiving, to be just and equal. If you look at the Muslim societies today, these are some of the most corrupt nations in the world, rife with bribery, nepotism and theft of preperty. The political leaders try to rule for life, and steal the power, military and police forces are cowards, cruel and corrupt. If you live in an Islamic country you are at the mercy and whim of the powerful, they can steal your land, rape your women, abuse and torture you without the fear of any God or a justice system. In most Islamic countries the power is held by a very few groups or families. Look at Egypt, look at Pakistan, the countries have no justice sysem, dissidents are jailed or killed, or jailed and killed, torturing prisioners is par for the course. The rich own the police forces and the middle classes are silent and affriad to anger the powerful. They live in a state of resignition, revolting against the powerful means having to make sacrifices, departing form their comfort zones. While we complained about the rape rooms of the Iraqi dictator, raping a woman for her relatives "sins" is a "fun" way of getting even in many Islamic countries. Ofcourse fornication and sex outside marriage is a grave sin in Islam, punishable with "death by stonning" But who cares if you are doing it in the name of Islam.
Ofcourse repression brings about revolutions, but if you keep the populace illiterate and subjugated and teach them this is there lot in life because that's how God has ordained, you can keep people enslaved for a long long time. Thus so the Islamic countries suffer from ever increasing poverty and illiteracy. What has changed now is that this illiteracy is coming back to bite the rulers in their collevtive asses. While they were not lookiing, the illiterate mullahs have been preaching death and destrcution to all under their charge. Where the murder is the means to obtain any goals, and to purify the land. Murdering not just the "kafir" but to murder anyone that disagrees with them and their aims.
The situation in Iraq is a case in point. Even as here many will say that the fight is about Islam, but it is not, it is a power grab, pure and simple. Where as the Sheia now want a total control of the country's wealth and its institutions the Sunnis are affraid of what will happen to them if the Sheia succeed. Obviously the Sunnis can not be sure of a fair deal by a Sheia led regime so the insurgancy goes on, it is no longer a matter of sharing the power, for the Sunnis it is a matter of sheer survival. And the Sunnis "KNOW" what will happen to them if the Americans were to leave.
Did I not warn against invading Iraq? Did I not warn of a civil war? Did I not say we will "own" Iraq if we go in? And what about the Kurds? It's a given that if you don't have many friends you don't need to go out and make enemies. On the behest of the United States, the Kurds have agreed to send a brigade in to Baghdad, but what will happen to the Kurds when the US leaves, neither the Sunnis or the Sheia have any love lost for the Kurds, and the only point that the Sunni and the Sheia may ever agree upon will be to decimate the Kurds, keep watching.
You would say "but what does Islam has to do with any of this," and I would say nothing, and that IS my point.
If the things look bad in Iraq then you are looking at only part of the picture, you are seeing what is happening in Palistine? In Lebenon? and Afghanistan? and Pakistan next followed by Egypt. The under currents of the "Islamic" jihad, revolution, uprising, are swfit and immenent. Not because the Islam is such a uniting force, but that theives have taken over the countries for now and bleeding the local economies.
I am not a supporter of the unbriddled capitalism, and I have railed about the American philosophy of greed at any price. Just as our own country is in a decline because the capitalist a raping our economy, such is the story of these Islamic countries where a few "steal" (control) all the capital and leave the country bleeding to its demise. If you look at Pakistan or Egypt or Iraq or Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia or Palestine, every where you see a few that are stealing the money and taking it out of the country or only buying more and more real estate, mainly houses instead of investing in the infrastructure or industry. This in turn leaves the general public in more poverty, increases illitracy and thus militancy. So all the regimes of the theives that we support, in turn increases the numbers of people that do not like us.
If it all sounds familiar, and it should, it is because our own country is leading in to the same types of corruption, but that is a seperate topic elsewhere in this blog.
The hypocrisies of Muslims are not unique and they are almost universal in the Islamic countries. The elite can steal, drink alcohols and have affairs while keeping a facade of piety, and even that itself would not be a problem. The problem comes in when these same crooks go around preaching the most fundamental type of Islamic doctrine, and support the same. In Arab fiefdoms of the gulf the oil rich sheiks are the most corrupt, Fahad was a gambler, he is also reported to have millions to an actress to sleep with him. Faisel almost drunk himself to death before he became to ill and then was killed by his nephew, Saud had married more than a hundered wives. The Korean and Phillpino nurses and house workers were brough in as much for a sex industry as they were fr legitimate jobs. Drinking goes on in the military and non -military circles from Pakistan to Egypt, at all levels while they all purport to support the Islamic doctrine and fundamentalism. Is hypocrisy not the same as bearing a false witness? Is not telling the truth not the same as lying? But there are few in Islamic countries that will stand up and speak up. Saying anything agaisnt the Islamic dogma is blasphmy punishable by death, so even those who dare may not dare. The irony of this type of thinking is that when the revolution comes, and it will, all those that sat back in their comfort zones and did not speak out against he injustice in their society, all those who did not speak up against the immoral traditions in their socities,( rape, honor killings, incest, child abuse, corruption, bribery, and theft of property by the elite etc.) will have their own throats slashed.
In the history of the world, no society has ever survived a fifty year civil war, without the total destruction of many of its previous institutions. And what we have in Islam is not a resurrgence, it is not the re affirmation of the basic roots of the faith.

Death of America, the economy
Last update on 02/07/2007There is one simple rule of economics; the only way to get rich is to take someone else’s money. Surprised? Just look at all the hedge funds, the advisers, the analysts on the Wall Street, all in the business of taking money away from someone else. What is it that these people do that generates wealth? Nothing, all they do is to figure out a way to take away someone else’ money, “legally”. The only way, actually, to generate wealth is to add value to something, to create or improve something by adding labor to it. It could be something like taking an ore out of a mine, where it was worthless, or machining a part or even navigating a ship across the ocean with some merchandise on it for sale. But what it is not, is to be betting as to what commodity should sell at what price in the future, for instance, or where the stock market will be at a given point. As such, labor of the physical kind is the only thing that adds real value to an item, be it the growing of a crop, the harvesting of the same or making of widgets. How then can one ever become wealthy? Well if you happen to have enough capital, you start a business, a venture, where you try to pay the least amount of money to the people who actually generate wealth through their labor, and that is called working. Since labor is a perishable commodity, the working person must use it in exchange for something of a “monetary value” as quickly as he or she can. If the labor is abundant, the value of labor decreases, just like any other commodity, thus the person is forced to sell it as quickly as he or she can, for whatever value one can receive for it. In a global economy, where all the workers of the world are forced to compete against each other the value of work (wages) will decrease rapidly, thus the employer will force the worker to work for the fewest beans thereby keeping most of the value added to the product. This is called Capitalism. And by the way, capital is not generated by a FED printing unlimited amounts of money, capital is generated by a people earning more than they are spending and putting the extra money aside, which is called “savings” I had to explain this because some of the readers may be Americans who are not familiar with such ancient terms. In today’s consumer based economy we are encouraged to spend, spend, spend, and so we do. Many a worker or a family is living on a tight budget. Of course one needs a car to get around, going to work, we need a house or an apartment, and we need health insurance, water, electricity, cable, cell phone, home phone etc. With the wages generally being lower than what it takes to supply what one needs, we require a second income, in most cases, just to make the ends meet so we need to have a “relationship” to be able just to survive, really. Thus one must fall in “love” out of necessity, which does not say much for the quality of one’s selection, or for the commitment to and the duration of such a relationship.Poverty is the state where a person or a family can not fulfill their needs, it may be real or imagined (imagined, when needs are created and assumed, but are not necessary for survival). In the land of plenty and consumption society, where you are reminded twenty four – seven what the others have that you do not have, the imagined poverty destroys many a home, a family and a relationship. This the situation, a catch-22 if you will, in 1980 while we were still talking about the ERA (equal rights amendment) in this country, I proposed that including females in the labor force causes inflation, and at the same time reduces the wages of workers. Now I admit, I do not have a “Nobel” in economics, and this is basic economics, if there are two people working in a house hold, they have (supposedly) more disposable income so they buy more goods and the price of goods goes up, with me so far? Now then when there are more people available to work, the price of labor goes down (wages are reduced), so over a long period of time a household is no better off with two people working than it was with only one wage earner. Now I am not suggesting, not by a long shot, that a woman’s place blah, blah, blah. But that may be only the more efficient worker in the house should work, while the other can take care of the house and family. I hope when they are grown, my daughters can buy their own husbands, happy? What I am suggesting is that more people should be taken out from the labor pool so the wages can rise.
There is a big joke being played upon the poor world wide, that we the Anglos, the white, the rich, the first worlders are interested in reducing poverty. No we are not, not really, remember for every high rise going up in a given country, for every factory being built to provide jobs, for every road every bridge, there are and there must be hundreds, thousands may be that must starve, and that is the grim reality of the world that we live in. The joke is that we will spend fifteen billion dollars, in sub-Saharan Africa, over ten years, to reduce poverty, and the punch line is that the United States alone borrows two billion dollars a day to keep her economy going. If we did not use this money to buy unnecessary garbage made by the slave labor in countries like China and Vietnam, that money could be used to develop the infra structure in those countries, or their labor could be paid a living wage, or they could loan or grant the money to a poorer nation. Do you see what I am saying?
What is truly needed, right now, is that the world population be reduced, but the world leaders are afraid to speak the truth to their people to save their own hides. there are the political reasons, cultural reasons and the religious reasons. How can you tell your people that if they won’t stop reproducing they will all die. That each individual country, each individual race, each individual people will out run their resources. The world will be so over crowded and so over polluted that the planet will be unable to support any form of life. As I mentioned previously in " The New World Order, 2003", we can not provide the power, the housing, the transportation , etc, for everyone living on earth now without running out of resources in a short order, then why we continue the charade, why are people not being told that in the long run we will (most of us will any how) be living like the worst off of the sub Saharan Africa.
Increasing the population just so that you increase the number of consumers is dumb. Time and again it can be shown that as the population of a country increases, so does the disparity in the wealth of the rich and the poor. As the poor need to compete for work, the cost of labor goes down and the profit of the rich goes up. No wonder the US is working to legalize millions of illegal aliens to keep the wages of the workers down, at the same time increasing the number of the consumers. Strangely enough, the Muslim prophet Mohammed said that if one is too poor to support a family than one should not marry, guess how that one is working out, even in the so called Islamic countries like Bangladesh.
Is it not strange that the Democratic President Bill Clinton signed off on the NAFTA, that was promoted by Ronald Reagan, and now President Bush and Ted Kennedy want to legalize the illegal immigrants. Is it a conspiracy to screw the poor or are our leaders so damn stupid that they can’t smell dodo even as they have it stuck on their noses. Are we so close to the end of the world now that we don’t need to care? Or as the public WE are so ignorant that we don’t know when we are being screwed. When the illegals marched in the streets there should have been larger counter protests by the Americans, but we are too busy being entertained to death.
Let me back up here for a bit, one would say why am I complaining while the economy is booming, the stock market is up, inflation under control, yada, yada, yada.
Well there are two points to consider first, if housing is considered as and investment for the later years, or at least to put your kids through college, then why are so many people spending the equity in their homes for current expenses, to buy a new TV or something, or just to keep up with the Joneses? Two, if your credit card company increases your credit line, do you become richer? Actually most Americans today are working for “The Man“, to pay the taxes, or to pay the interest on their college loans, on credit card loans, to the mortgage companies. The great big lie is that seventy percent of the Americans own their own homes, when in truth they are renting their homes from the mortgage company. Both the Democrats and the Republicans lie about the economy, because they want the stupid consumer to keep spending the money they will never have, till one morning the are told they now they are officially slaves.
“T’s the ultimate freedom, when you chose to be a slave,” (M.N.R.).
The second point about all this prosperity is that it is based on the deficit spending by the government. The lie that is told is that when government cuts taxes the revenues go up. But no one ever mentions that the revenues go up because of the deficit itself, as the government spending cycles through the economy, obviously the employment and the corporate profits go up, when the employment goes up the social security taxes go up, and guess what is off set by the surplus in the social security tax collection, the deficit. And again as the corporate profits go up the tax collections go up , so the so called reduction in the deficit, or increase in the revenue is just so much smoke and mirrors, and why doesn’t some one explain it to the people? Because it is easier to keep the idiots happy and it gets the politicians re-elected by the stupid electorate.
The lie has been told again and again, so many times that even Bush himself may not know the difference, many Republicans surely do not, and the moneyed advisors don’t want you to know the facts, but here it is the truth about the Bush tax cut. While they are fighting in congress whether to make the Bush tax cut permanent or not, the truth is that the tax cut really does favor the rich and the ultra rich. The average Joe, making a hundred thousand or less was given a fifteen hundred dollar a child tax credit, not a real tax cut, and as the tax cut for the rich is about to be made permanent, the child tax credit will disappear and the taxes for the middle and lower income people will go up, this is called compassionate conservatism.
We see the stock market going up, the Dow making new highs, but is it for real? If you had bought the thirty stocks in the Dow twenty years ago in nineteen eighty six, and had never changed anything, you would be sitting at a net loss today, because the GM, Ford, Delta, ATT, Sears, all have lost money, big time. The only reason the Dow seems to be up is because they keep changing the stocks that make up the Dow thirty are changed as the companies go broke and are replaced by newer names. So if you buy the shares today.
And what does the “value” of company like Google or Yahoo or e-bay, U-tube has to do with reality? These company don’t make anything, and don’t add value to anything, they don’t even own anything that anyone would need, or provide a needed service, ok, e-bay does that. But for the others are nothing more than a HOPE that someone will click thru and ad to buy something.
But to buy something, you need money you do not need for something else that is a necessity, nothing like that is sold on Yahoo, or Google, no milk, no bread, so you must be someone that has extra money. One way to have extra money is to not to have kids, and not to get married, do you see my point?
One of the cruelest ways to make you a slave is to get you in debt. And here is how the scheme works. Starting at home where parents are more apt to go to work to buy whatever is new on the market for their kids, to fulfill their demands, our children get in the habit of not waiting to buy something or waiting for something, saving for something to own. We teach our children that when you want something you jut pull out a credit card. As I have mentioned before, most of us today are living beyond our means. An average person has to go into debt just to meet these so called needs. Not everyone needs a new car, for instance before the old one is paid off. But most people do exactly that and never get out the cycle of having a car payment. In the last thirty years, the car financing has gone from average three year loans to now seven year loans, and we keep making the payments without realizing that so long as the consumers are willing to make these payments, the car prices will keep rising. And that is just the tip of it. Does every one really need a cable bill? A cell phone? Do you know that these payments are for life? We have not learnt to say no, ever! Not in sex and in buying more cheap stuff.
How many do you know that buy more than they can afford? Christmas coming, get a new Visa card, vacation, we can put the on the card also, or take out a home equity line of credit. And yet everyone knows that our wages are not keeping up with the cost of living and we go around scratching our collective behinds wondering what is going wrong and end up getting divorced, (which actually ends up costing more money and lowers our standard of living.
But lets say for example that you never had these problems growing up and the only thing you needed was a small loan for college. Now they have you again, you start out from college already deep in debt, and unless you are extremely lucky you will always be in debt for the rest of your life. And don’t you dare stop spending the money you don’t have, our economy depends on it. It depends on you to be stupid and stay in debt for the rest of your life, so you never get to accumulate wealth, ( capital).
The money that we spend today will yet have to be made by our grand children and great grand children. In the mean time we have a federal reserve system that keeps creating money from nothing, just like the Germans did during the world war two, but we are too stupid to know what happened to the German economy as a result, let me give you a hint, after the war, in Germany, one could get laid for a pack of cigarettes. What is up with our bible thumping president, what was the biblical parable of the seven fat cows followed by the seven skinny cows.
We are being sold in slavery and we don’t care. If not why is it that people making a hundred thousand a year or more cannot seem to afford all that they want, is it not a definition of slavery that your needs are never met? A vast majority of the people making hundreds of thousands of dollars as in debt up to their eyebrows, and even if you make a million or two a year you have not yet “ARRIVED”, it takes much more. Say how you would feel when if had just figured out that you had made your first million dollars last year and then to wake up to find out that Beckham just got a five year two hundred and fifty million dollar contract? I guess you will go out and work harder to make more, so you can keep up , but the only way to make more is to figure out a way as to how to beat some one out of what THEY have. Be it your workers or your clients. But since we are living in a COMPETITIVE environment so only one you can really put the screws to is your workers.
The other problem with today’s consumer culture is that there is so much stuff to buy, you need a new plasma TV, and a black berry, your kids need the new X-box, and I-pod, the latest fashions and cars and the Ivy League education, whatever, and soon as you have built that forty-five hundred square foot McMansion on the golf course, your brother in law builds one of fifteen hundred square foot in that new exclusive sub division.
So here you are, you need more money, nay (screw the holy books), you have the obligation to screw the poor to keep up. Kindness, mercy, justice and fairness are just cliches that we must pay lip service to. As I mentioned in “The New World Order” in 2003, this attitude is destroying families, the traditions the cultures and the environment, and not just theirs ,but that of our own also.
Under president Reagan we had something called social security reform, the Medicare tax was imposed on all the salaried income, or income from a privately owned business, and the basic social security tax was increased slightly and the taxable amount was also increased. Remember I have said many times that I voted for Mr. Reagan the first time and then I became against him because he was a damned liar, or too stupid to know the impact of the polices he was he was being paid to promote. Mr. Reagan sold out the working class, riled people against the poor, broke his promise to balance the budget, screwed the workers by promising that NAFTA will increase the wages of the workers in foreign countries and improve their standard of living , that the foreign countries will also be bound by clean environment standards, etc. As we now know it was all , every bit of it a bunch of lies. What he did do was that he started to spend the social security reserves, ( the excess amount paid into social security for the future benefits), also this amount spent was not included in the current account deficit, so we the workers were screwed twice. It is still beyond the understanding of the average American that thinks that Reagan was the greatest president or a great president, the screwing that the American citizens received by the Reagan administration was the only thing royal about him.
Today as the boomers are approaching the retirement age not many still realize that there is no money there for their benefits to be paid. What they don’t tell you is that we NEED the illegal Mexican here to contribute to the social security fund to keep it somewhat solvent, or at least on a more secure footing, with more people paying into the social security fund.
That is a two edged sword. One that at a later time we will have to pay these people the benefits also, two that since the current “ doing great economy” and the high employment is dependent on deficit spending and borrowing from the foreign nations and peoples, we keep digging the hole deeper and deeper.
How long can we keep printing, or creating this imaginary money? Who do we owe this money to? Besides the future generations. At the start of 2006, I sent an e-mail to Senator Richard Shelby, R-Ala, I had asked him that, where this money that we spend in deficit ends up at, as of today, 23 January 2007, I still have received no satisfactory reply so I will tell you what I think. First of all most of the money the government borrows comes from the social security surplus, it is your money and it is my money the government can decide not to pay us back any or cause inflation to rise and reduce our benefits, secondly the money comes from the FOREIGNERS who buy the US treasury debt and US currency, so each and every day we keep selling the US to others, literally.
Thirdly the money comes from the Federal Reserve Bank, a privately owned company, your future and mine is sold to private bankers, while you sit there watching Desperate Housewives, it is your future, it is your country that desperately needs tending to.
Are we being sold in to slavery? I for one have thought so for the last twenty-five years it is time for the rest of the country to wake up before there is no rest of the country left.
So then where does this money go to? Of course any one knows that the money always will go to the top. It is said time and again, that if all the money was divided in a group, soon it will end up in a few hands. That being true, and the fact the much of the money that the federal government spends, by printing new, or borrowing will also end up in the hands of the rich and the super rich, unless it goes to the foreign countries and the people that we borrowed it from in the first place.
We know, for example, when the government spent billions of dollars after Katrina, people spent that money to buy tools and generators made in China, lumber from Canada and labor from Mexico and Central America, so we can assume that some of that money that the government is borrowing is going directly over seas. Then there is money spent in this country, it as we said before rises to the top and thus ends up with the super rich, am I right so far? By the way the government is “spending” over three hundred billion a year in interest payments. The gap between the poor and the rich increases.
A couple of years ago we had some examples of this gap, where the people spent two and three million dollars on a birthday party. But the most egregious example of this problem was when some one paid sixteen million dollars for a nude of a living actress. And what was that crap about the “Beanie Babies” for Eight thousand dollars? and the singing raisins? Some people do have money to burn, and why not? it is really worthless.
Are we then a third world country, where some have everything and more and the rest have nothing. May be not yet, but we are getting there, fast!
The theory says that the few rich do not cause inflation in an economy, because they are not competing for the same stuff as the rest of the people. But are they, or not. In general they don’t live in the same places, don’t buy the same type and quality of food stuffs, don’t even go to the same doctors and lawyers. But if we take a closer look then they take away the best health care making it out of reach of the rest, because they can afford to pay a premium over whatever the rest will pay. Same with housing, if they get the best and the choicest lots, and homes and whatever, which by definition is a limited quality and quantity they make the prices of real estate unaffordable for the rest. How can you buy a lot for ten thousand dollars in a community where some one else is willing to pay ten times as much, thus the rich can acquire the most desirable location and property causing the rest to pay more than we can afford or to move elsewhere.
One of the biggest problems I have with the rich is that they can afford to out price the average person out of the education market, though there are always some scholarships and grants and loans available for the poor and the average kid, the rich have always a leg up because they go to the best prep schools and can afford private tutoring for a leg up on the entrance exams etc.
I also realize that some people are poor or average because of their own lack of motivation, initiative, and work ethic, some don’t know any better and can not do better than what they are stuck with and will not. But it is not fair to say also that the playing field is level for all.
So where is that trickle down theory, Ronald Reagan was either very stupid, or was bought off buy the real money. And we fell for him, boy were we ever so stupid also.
A lot of people still give the grand example of the lady with food stamps who came to the store in her Cadillac, and I know we have all seen her, but have you ever noticed the poor, the ones buying day old bread, and shopping at the bent can store or lining up at the food banks, no we do not see them, because we don’t go to THOSE places, we have no idea how, in a society where people making a hundred thousand a year have budget problems, people are expected to live on a three hundred a month from social security. While the people who steal the retirement funds from their company employees are given twenty million dollar bonuses.
In this land of plenty, we have shows about the lifestyles of the “Rich and Famous” but no shows about the life styles of the “Starving and the Malnourished“.
Under president Reagan we had something called social security reform, the Medicare tax was imposed on all the salaried income, or income from a privately owned business, and the basic social security tax was increased slightly and the taxable amount was also increased. thinking muslims
the man has landed on the moon and returned, we have in vitro fertilisations adn the surgery done on a fetus in the womb. and the muslims are still fighting over the properiety of interst rates and the sightings or non sightings of the moon. sheia and sunnis killing eachother and others to get in line for heavens, countries lead by the illiterate or the illiterate mullhas used by the governments to keep the populace in control, the educated and the middle classes using religion to ssupress the poor to keep and keep the poor in their place. whose god was it that said "READ", whose god was it that said that he thaught the man "by the PEN" i wonder what god will think of his people who would spend a billion dollars on killing some animals when their brothers are suffering hunger and homelessness after the twin disasters of a tsunami and an earth quake?? do you ever wonder also?are muslims allowed to think??
a real solution to get us out of Iraq
It is no secret that I was against the war, I was against us going to Iraq. I pleaded that our invasion of Iraq will cause more Muslims to become our enemies, that the Iraqis will consider us as invaders and come after us (The Dothan Eagle), I warned that there will be a major civil war among the Iraqis(Slate.com) and I said that the UN and the Arabs will not let us take the Iraqi oil to pay for the war, and I also said that the Patriot act will sap away our civil liberties,( O’Rielly factor , radio). And here we are today up to our butts in alligators with no way out of the swamp.
A couple of weeks ago I wrote to the president as to how we could solve the insurgency problem in Iraq, by arresting the leadership( for a time) and running the country ourselves, of course that will involve a major ( not the twenty thousand the president is asking) commitment of the troops to the point that the Iraqi thugs are convinced that we mean business in disarming their rag tag bunches of bullies with AK-47s.
Iraq is NOT, and will not be our only problem in the Middle East, so long as there is oil there that we need. Do we not realize that we are being black mailed by the same idiots in Italian suits who sell us oil. They know that they have us over the proverbial barrel. We need their oil and then we need the money they are earning from us by selling that oil back as investment in our economy. So we go on supporting the murderers and torturers, we are being fooled. No Muslim leader today wants a real democracy in his country. They don't want to spend the money on the poor when they can spend it on buy villas in the French Rivera, to go shopping in London, visiting pre teen hooker in Manila or buying shares in Disney.
It may not happen over night but there is a real solution, first we need to leave both Iraq and Afghanistan immediately, period. Then we go on an honest two prong assault first, we go in to a full war footing mode towards energy self sufficiency no matter the sacrifices, we increase the fuel taxes, we develop energy efficient transportation system, we improve and subsidize the public transportation we cut back on imports and increase local methods of production, thus saving energy.
Secondly, as we cut back on our energy consumption, we break all political and military relations with the middle East. We take away the money from the mid-Eastern dictators to promote terrorism, we isolate the Islamic mullahs, they cannot accuse us of to be root of their problems, do we not know that the more we have been involved with a mid -Eastern regime the more we have been accused of being the root of all their problems, If we are too close to a regime of such as the one of the Saudis, or of Hosni their populations blame us for their oppression and we lose esteem in the eyes of the rest of the world also.
We cannot impose democracy on the middle-East, we cannot wish them a happy future. And surely we cannot dictate the democracy for the Muslim lands, no matter what they smoke in Washington, DC and the Pentagon. What we can do, is to be a shinning example of "liberty and justice for all" once again, and hope that the rest of the world will want to follow our example.

FIXING THE WAR IN IRAQ
TO
THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
1600 PENSILVANIA AV
WASHINGTON, DC
Dear Mr. President
Sir, I have written you before but it seems that you did not get to see my mail, yet I hope that this missive will make it thru the controls or you will at least be briefed on it.
Dear Sir, it is no secret that I was against the war in Iraq before we invaded, in my various postings on Slate.com I argued against the invasion and told of the possible consequences of the incursion, sadly I have been proven right by the circumstances, on each and every single one of my predictions.
For instance, on April 10 of 2004, I posted that to control Iraq , we would have to declare marshal law to control the uprising, we also blew that one of course.
I understand that you are looking for new ideas on how to resolve the situation in Iraq, I have a few ideas myself and I will tell them to you in the following.
First of all we need to get away from the thinking that what’s happening in Iraq has anything, even remotely to do with Islam or for the benefit their country. The violence in Iraq is about the money, and the power.
Secondly, we must realize that these people don’t understand kindness, forgiveness and mercy. Even that itself is a proof that these people are not Islamists, and if I may say they are not even Muslims in the ways that they behave. If you study the history of Iraq, the country has proven time and again that they need someone with an “Iron Fist” or at least a very long stick to keep them on the straight and narrow.
Thus we have only two choices, and neither one of these requires an increase in the number of American soldiers in that country. The first being that as of right now, we arrest anyone that CLAIMS to be, or APPEARS to be any leader of any political faction or of any religious leanings, from any area and any denomination, NO QUESTIONS. And for a week or two close down any Masjids. Don’t worry the bastards that kill during the “holy months” and attack the Masjids they do not need to say prayers except the one before having their heads separated from their shoulders, (trust me Hajaj bin Yousef already showed us how). Then you arrest anyone in possession of any weapons, with road blocks, check points and home searches. After that the US military directly hires contractors and laborers for day to day jobs. Later a new leaderships is “selected“ by us, the current leaders being assumed to be corrupt and trouble makers must be kept incarcerated, the new local Iraqi government (appointed by us)must collect their own taxes if they want something done(of course they also have the oil money for that). Who says that we must look good or be liked by anyone, too late for that any way.
If that not be the choice of a solution for the US government then the other option is that we announce a date on which the US Army will issue an M-16 ( or an AK-47), plus ammo and a few hand grenades to anyone that asks for them. Not only we will issue such arms to anyone in country, we will also give the same to anyone that desires to come into Iraq and take up for either side, we will open border crossing along all borders only to hand them the weapons and may be a few provisions to anyone that wants to come into that country and to join either side. Trust me sir, their murdering each other should be least of our concern or a problem for us, if they want to kill each other let them have at it. If you want someone to run that operation, I will go there and work for you real cheap, and you don’t even have to give me a medal of freedom.
Sincerely

A NEW WORLD ORDER, 2003
31 July 2003
A NEW WORLD ORDER
(To be continued)
Unless you received this in an e -mail from me, you are reading this writing in a web posting. Thank you for taking the time to look this over, and if you do happen to read it through, I will be pleased. You may even be surprised at what I have to say and I may just confirm your worst fears. Your being on the net and looking at this article already means that you are smart, that you are above average in income, and depending on your location you may even be a person of above average means.
But first! This document has no chapters, no break marks, it has no headings and discussion is desultory of necessity, subjects leading one into another into another and another. From economics to religion to politics into philosophy and sociology and even into the military. Rest assured I have more than a fair knowledge of these subjects thru education, assignments, jobs and life experiences. So what does that have to do with the end of the world? Please indulge me a while.
Around my house I joke around that if I were born three thousand years ago or so, they would have called me either a prophet or a heretic, either way I would have been killed. Here we are at the dawn of a new millennium; we are the greatest power on the face of this earth ever. We dare talk of liberating the nations, of bringing democracy and prosperity to the people of the world, we even talk of bringing the peace to the Middle East, the Muslims and the Jews sitting down together, ( remember the lion and the lamb).
I have never been known to keep my thoughts and ideas to myself. Having been on my own and having had to fend for myself since the age of about eleven, I have always been suspicious of the people in authority. And having lived among "foreigners" and "strangers”, I also learnt to speak my mind, without caring if I upset the proverbial apple cart.
In Saudi Arabia, I was beaten up, a few times, by the religious police, for my long hair and tight pants. And in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan, I came eyeball to eyeball with a rifle, for hanging out with the wrong crowd, I was thirteen. My trouble started with analyzing the details of every situation came from the only thing I ever learned from my calculus classes, that adding even a single drop of water raises the level of the ocean, and that even if you take out the water a drop at a time over time even an ocean will be emptied.
And so it was, that in 1973, in an economics class at a place then called The University of Palm Beach, ( now Palm Beach School of Business???), that I declared in my Economics class, that having open and free trade with the third world countries, we will lower the standard of living for all the working people everywhere. My professor told me that I was a communist. Then in 1980, in the English literature class of Dr. Mabene, at The Troy State University I mentioned that having women in the work force reduces the wages for men, and reduces the wages in the society over all and actually increases poverty. I was lucky to have gotten out alive. (The class was over fifty percent females).
In 1989, at the height of the crack epidemic, in my class on Community Resources I stated that the Government cannot afford to stop the drugs, or our economy will collapse and the joblessness will sky rocket, my class mates gave me a standing ovation.
Take a look around you, I mean the world around you that we all live in. I here go out on the limb and make a prediction. In a matter of just two and one half years you will not recognize this place at all. No I am not a politician, and it really does not matter if the Democrats win the next election, here in the United States, or the Republicans, it will not change my estimation greatly, the time is up, two and one half years is all we have.
I assume that a few of my readers may not understand my hypothesis, some may disagree vehemently. And a few kind ones may think that I have lost my marbles, totally! Some may call me a racist, and some may just simply call me "Karl", like another one of my friends did. Personally I like the moniker “the Alarmist". And I do hope that you stay awake thru this reading.
Most of what I have here today is already general knowledge and available in books and newspapers. You may already know most of it. What I have done is to pickup the pieces and made a whole pictures, connected the dots. We live in a world that is inter-connected, and the events in anyone part of it have far reaching consequences. Also if we make a mistake in thinking that what does it matter to anyone else, we can do what we want, we may have unforeseen and unintended results for which we are ill prepared to deal with.
Item. The Government of the United States is broke, the people of the United States are broke too, but the individuals are oblivious to all what it means.
Item. All the governments of the world are broke. Every single one is running up a deficit beyond its real capability to pay it back.
Item. Peace in the Middle East is a pipe dream, it is impossible, with the current paradigm of the religions, gods and the prophets, of a hell and a heaven and salvation, the end of the world is still not inevitable. But in the hands of the zealots (idiots) it has become a self fulfilling prophecy.
Item. Africa is dying; it is dying of ignorance, of the arrogance of its tin pan leaders, of starvation and of AIDS. It is dying of neglect and of greed the foreigners. It shall die. It is not salvageable.
The truth is, our planet is over extended, much as we want to sound benevolent, the earth is not capable of handling the population. With six billion plus people already here and the number keeps going up everyday the mother earth is tired, it is exhausted. We are over overtaxing the planet beyond its capacity in the natural resources. I would like to assume that we could feed everyone, clothe every child and educate and medicate each and every new arrival, but the truth remains that we cannot, we do not and we shall not.
In the early part of 1977, in a gasthouse in Erlangen Germany, a friend I would call "Red", an American GI, asked, hey, what do you think of the Americans, " in my estimation", I said, " the Americans are generally narrow minded and hard headed, they think they are always right and do not accept criticism lightly." "What the hell do you mean," said Sgt "Red", standing up over me, I looked up and said, "exactly". Luckily for me Red sat back down.
Right after 9-11, the US, at least the media went on a soul searching mission. "Why do they hate US"/us", the head lines would read. In the news papers, in the panel discussions on TV, every two bit talking head had an opinion. Everyone declared us the victims of the insane Muslim radicals who are jealous of our progress and material riches. And the rag heads were ready to take over the world and destroy the western civilization. We were the victims of our own progress and prosperity. It may be even true, but to a point only. But Mr. Bush declared a crusade (he then backed off of the title), first against the Taliban, then all the numerous other terrorists. Its pity, no on e was listening to Pat Buchanan.
In the animal kingdom, the population of a species never exceeds the available resources. If a given area becomes lacking in food or fresh water the species will stop reproducing at the normal rate and thin their own herd thru attrition or finally migration. The modern man is not as smart, actually we perform in way that is totally the opposite. For our own national or geographic reasons, we restrict migrations. The nations rich in resources often tend to keep away the have nots. Thus poorer nations, if for no other reason, become poorer thru unchecked reproduction.
As Americans, even when we see some of the pictures from the African lands, or Central America or South East Asia, for starving children, for the people dying of AIDS, of the hovels and shanty towns, it is really hard to imagine the TRUE conditions of these "lives". Let me explain.
Even as some of us have seen wars up-close, (I exclude the ones that suffer a direct loss for the 9-11), like those who were in combat in the world wars2, the Korean conflict, the Viet Nam war, and the two gulf wars, these wars had a remote feeling. It was not our towns, our villages, our cities, homes and our families destroyed by the war, and bombed and burnt to ashes. As a soldier, always ready and able to defend ourselves. Those children with burnt torsos and torn limbs were not our kids, not our babies. We never had to live under the occupation forces without rights or privacy, it was not our sisters mothers and daughters harassed and molested. And if you have never been there, any war, with our over whelming power and an assured victory, easily seems just, justifiable proper and easy.
Similarly, a vast majority of us do not understand the abject poverty and hunger and the misery that is the "life" for the billions on this planet. We are quick to blame the peoples of the different countries and cultures. We have never heard the cries of a hungry child, unable to sleep. Never touched the hand of a mother or a daughter, wasting, for no other reason but the cruelty of the man to his own kind. We cannot understand why a starving mass would mob a food aid convoy, instead of standing in a line and waiting their turn. As a matter of fact, some find a "perverse pleasure" in their "stupidity".
If we were to provide everything for everyone on the face of the earth, all the natural resources will be depleted very soon. And the planet will be left too polluted and depleted for it to sustain human life much longer. We must stop reproducing at the rate we are going. We must not only stop the growth in population we must immediately reduce our own numbers.
In the modern society, world wide, almost eighty percent of the population is useless and a net burden on the resources. These people are net consumers of natural wealth and do not contribute to the furtherance of human welfare and continuance of an intelligent species. The society and the governments must find ways to reduce and/ or eliminate these net spenders of our natural wealth. They only take up food and oxygen.
In any case the over all population of our planet is overwhelming our natural resources, from freshwater aquifers, to timber to fossil fuels and the fish of the oceans. I am sure that a number of individuals, organizations, think tanks and the governments are looking over these problems right now. They are designing solutions and strategies. But I am also sure that much more thought and consideration is being given to their own rights and benefits, and furtherance of the agenda of their own peoples, races and nations and their national goals and aspirations at the expense of the humanity and its future as a whole.
One of the greatest mysteries of today is the universal faith that the U.S. economy is too strong, it cannot falter. That our fiscal policies and our trade policies are there to help the lower classes and the poor not only here but also overseas. That free trade is always for the good of all people. Let me tell you a secret, Greenspan or no Greenspan, in the United States here today and world wide there is no MONEY, (at least in the hands of any government). What you have in your wallet, in the bank or in your retirement and social security accounts is "nothing", nada, it is all imaginary.
How are we to create wealth, and under what laws of economics do we keep creating riches "forever"? We used to say, in the nineties, that the old economics laws do not apply to this new economy. My friends laughed when at the start of the year 2000, I said we are going into a recession like none before, when I said that the markets are going to fall. Guess what?
For the past fifty years or so we have been hooked on to deficit spending, with a few exceptions. In 1980, Reagan ran on a platform of promise to balance the budget, only to get us into the largest deficits in the history, of mankind. Then Bush passed his tax cuts to give the economy a boost, when do we ever learn. Now here is the kicker, where as in the other countries, up until now at least, people have real savings; in the United States we are always spending our future income- borrowing. Borrowing to buy our homes, our cars, our education and our pizza and our jeans. A majority of our population is a paycheck away from bankruptcy.
That is, if you miss a paycheck, your house of cards tumbles. Our politicians know this well, and they manage our house accordingly.saw the whole picture and just in time to save his butt became a born again Christian, thus becoming arrogant and suspicious of ones that are not like him. Our national security adviser is a specialist in the Soviet affairs, may be she would have made a good history professor, at a four year college.
We attacked Iraq on apparently fabricated evidence. Wither or not it was it was fabricated still remains to be seen. But I can tell you where our intelligence has already shown to be a total failure. No I am not talking about the intelligence community but the intelligence of our national security team, the state department and the defense departments. How could we imagine the Iraqis of any kind to be our freindlies, we may have forgotten but did they also forget (1) that the most of the Iraqis in those mass graves and the fallen of the Kurdish to the gas attacks were placed there because we asked for the Sheia and the Kurdish uprisings only to fail in helping them achieve their aims. (2) That most Iraqis , for the last 12 years suffered under the trade embargoes orchestrated and implemented by the United States, can you really believe they have forgotten the 12 years of misery, can you really believe that they trust us? Can they really be trusted? (3) No matter how long or how short our stay in Iraq; it will be pure chaos there the day we leave. We have created a new heaven for the al-Quieda types and now we sit there fertilizing it.
Our leaders, Christians, Muslims or Jews or other wise are all actually godless people who are more worried about accumulating wealth and destroying others in the process. No matter their professed ideology. Even the so called religious leaders’ corrupt souls believing that if there is a god they are the only ones that have a claim to him, exclusive of all others. That they are the only ones that know it all and the only ones that are righteous. This is the major fault of the monotheistic religions and their religious followers. They will kill each other and get to heaven.
If there were a god, of the kind they claim that there is, he is one hell of a conniving deceiving, vengeful, destructive god, actually if we look close, he is the devil. Where as the Muslims are justifying killing of the innocent, the Jews have their own version of the concentration camps in the West Bank and Gaza. what they are lacking in death chambers they make up for it with Apache gunship and bombing of the houses, forget the admonition of the bible that from now on fathers shall not pay for the sins of their sons, and the sons shall not be made to pay for the sins of their fathers. All sides actually being led by godless jackasses, thinking they are doing good. Honestly, if I were to blame the Muslims for carrying on with a religious war, then did we not start a religious war by creating the state of Israel itself? Our gods have failed us.
Is there a god? The question it self and the discussion thereof is a total waste of time for thinking minds. In the here and now, there are manifest many more immediate and oppressing problems. But in the affairs of the world today god itself is a major obstacle to a peaceful co-existence. Then there are these religious avenues of thought and the basis of many varied religious philosophies.
We must first admit that no matter how great a philosophy of a particular theological tradition, today we are basing future on traditions that are thousands of year of years old. These philosophies, traditions and theologies, though originating from probably some of the greatest minds ever, were actually only considering a world and a community that was much more primitive and smaller than the world as whole as we know today.
I do not wish to compare today, the great and contemporary philosophies, traditions and theologies (whatever you may call them), that is the Greek, the Chinese (Confucians), the Hindu and the Mid Eastern that is the Monotheistic orthodoxy (from which the Jewish, the Christian and the Islamic traditions originate). Somehow around five to seven thousand years ago the mankind had evolved enough to start contemplating god and the origin of the world/ universe. We must also revisit some of the basic tenants that have permeated some of these, both religious and the philosophical schools of thought.
!. That all men are created equal. As we must admit today that is on its face not a fact. Oh yes! At some level that everyone should have equal rights and equal protections under law, from tyranny, and a freedom of choice. But beyond that, not everyone is created equal, as to in intelligence, availability of resources and opportunity of self- improvement and advancement. Thus some sectors of the world population will always do better overall than the others, barring a catastrophic change in the equation.
2. And it follows also from 1. that we do not have a free will, we do not choose where we are born and in what society. You can not select your country of origin your parents and the religion or the race you are born in. It is all pre determined at your birth. And far as I know you did not do anything special to earn any of it one way or another. The ideas of religious indoctrination and having a free will are incongruous also. We are brain washed from our birth onwards in to believing whatever they want us to learn. A true exercise of the "god given" freewill will always result in a chaos. Religion teaches us only conformity.
3. (Will follow)
I am not a religious person; I do however read the bible as a story book, and to see what lessons we may glean from the history. The bible tells us a story of the Pharaohs; these kings assumed great powers and declared themselves as gods. The stories are similar to the stories of our own more modern history where Hitler or Stalin will have people murdered at will. Then the stories of Spain, Iraq, Argentina and Peru where people just disappeared. They were taken by the government, knowing that it was illegal under their own laws. The people were held prisoners without their being told why, their families had no way to found what happened or what the charges were. They were not allowed to have any legal defense or council. Today in the United States of America, and under John Ashcroft and a bunch of pansies in the congress of the United States, we have it all legalized, we have our own cases of “the disappeared".
There seem to be two different governments in this country, on that are open and visible to the people, and another that makes the real policy and sets the direction of this country. It matters not who is sitting in the White House, and for what he was elected by the people. President Clinton followed 12 years of the Republican administration. No one in these Untied States seems to remember, and I have never seen it explained by the press
That the cuts in the defense department budgets, the force restructuring, the base closings. The NAFTA and the GATT were all the initiatives started by the Reagan administration. The problems with the defense were blamed on Clinton. And Clinton also fought for, and signed up on the most anti American worker and anti labor treaties of NAFTA and GATT.
We really do not have a problem with the immigration, no matter how you slice it. Here is the real deal. As people find cheaper goods on the store shelves, and they turn to these goods, the people here start to loose jobs. As people loose jobs the wage pressures are lessened. People looking for work settle for lower wages. As people settle for lower wages they look for cheaper prices, and so on, you see the pattern. Any wonder that the Wal-Mart no longer has banners proclaiming how many jobs it has created in America? Wal-Mart is the enemy; Wal- Mart controls what you make. (I have only used the name Wal-Mart for it is the biggest and most common, it could be any multi-national company. These companies and their ilk of the mega corporations with mega stores have crushed the back bone of our economy, the individual entrepreneur.)
How is it that the government and the private analyst with their so called real time data failed to see the market crash, failed to see the 2000 recession, failed to predict the unemployment levels in the dot com industry. In 1999 the department of labor projected a need for 225000 year need for the computer engineers and a starting salary of near 70000. Today we are all told to train for the health care professions. Does anyone know with the lay offs nation wide in the major corporations, with people loosing the health benefits and retirement how much growth is possible in the health care.
From the hills of the Himalayas to the flat lands of African sub-Saharan, and from the Philippines to Pakistan and Philadelphia, poverty and ill education, or illiteracy extol a heavy price on human lives. A heavy cost of stupidity. In other places it may not be as simple, it is to the favor of the haves to keep the have nots poor and ill educated. They are thus easier to control. Virtual slaves, only now that they are so called "free", we don't have the responsibility to be taking care of them. These poor worthless souls are ignorant of their own misery. And as they wallow in the refuse of life clueless, the life passes these by. They are thus no threat to the ruling class. And as if there were ever a chance of a revolt, the media, by default or design fill the air with sexual images and messages, ever presenting a younger and younger role model of sexual awareness to where the people have become as if cats and dogs, only bred to procreate and bring forth another generation of the slaves. From "Fox’s married with children to Disney’s promotion of Leanne Rymes crooning of love making, the suggestive dialogue, the revealing attire and what with the moves, it is a wonder anyone in the junior high is even opening the books.
These poor and helpless make for the prime cannon fodder for those who wish to promote slavery in the guise of religion, revolution or even revelry. Where as in Iran and in Saudi Arabia the poor and the ill - educated are used by the governments to secure there bases. In the United States and the other free countries these people are kept in control in their sub-human condition with a promise of so called personal freedom ( you can screw anyone you like, or get your six pack and forget it), watching Leeza and Jerry and Maury, we are not so bad after all.
Technology has failed us too. Technology alone cannot save us, it is killing us. As we sing the praises of the medical advances that have cut down the rate of childhood deaths, we end up with more and more mouths to feed. Children, who would have died off childhood diseases just sixty or seventy years ago, are today the child soldiers and gang members being taught to kill each other. And they are the child prostitutes today in the streets of Hong Kong, Mexico City, Manila and LA. They are the "discarded" children of the streets of the Rio, Karachi and Nashville.
We use lasers to guide our bombs, radios to bring murder and mayhem to our cities. We use cameras and microphones to steal privacy. Our technology joins us not in peace and prosperity for all, but in SARS AIDS and the West Nile virus.
Yes we could feed the whole world today, we have the technology. But to feed everyone and more, we will have to use more of the modern methods, i.e. use more fertilizers, more insecticides and use more of the farm machinery, not to mention the genetic engineering. Just to discuss the fertilizers, we use more oil base products, a majority of the chemicals either washes off in the rivers and streams. And the rest seeps into the ground, thus polluting our underground reservoirs and the aquifers. These chemicals destroy the aquatic life, over a period of time the water table is ruined, the rivers and the streams become so salinated that they cannot support aquatic life. And what about over time period of a hindered years, a couple of hindered years? Will our oceans will become finally to over salted to support life. It is not a stretch, we already have areas near the river deltas that are dying and some are choked with oxygen sucking algae. This is what the future holds. We have a choice, fewer people today or no one living tomorrow.
All this and it is only a part of the world that we are living in, there is much more
