PREDICTING THE FUTURE

PREDICTING THE FUTURE

It is not new, predicting the future is an old profession. My problem is that I don't get any signs from beyond, I don't hear any voices, or see any burning bushes. I am not a philosopher, except that I am always thing things over and try to see the connections. I don't claim to make moral judgments of what I "think" will happen, I only know what the consequences and outcomes will be of certain choices being made, certain actions taken, or not taken.

The humanity has taken certain paths, and today we are in a catch-22, only with this difference, "NO MATTER WHAT ACTIONS WE TAKE NOW, THE CONSEQUENCES AND THE RESULTS WILL BE THE SAME".

Generally speaking, (and don't get an attitude about my language, you will only understand my frustration if you read how long I have been trying to get the people to come to their senses,) we are a nation of masturbators, and the disease has become a international phenom.

Lets talk about the oil spill in  the gulf again for a moment,

Should we ask the government to raise taxes on fuel to help the people and the economies around the gulf in the effected areas?

Are the Southern states still going to clamor for tort reform?

Should those effected by the spill be allowed to organize? Since we hate unions so much, why should there be class action law suits?

If BP goes bankrupt, should the bankrupt government of the United States make these people whole again?

Why are we trying to clean up the birds that will go back and dive into oil again?  Why not the fish and the insects, or at least say the individual oysters and the shrimp ( go back above to the masturbation part, you do these things to please your own self only, they have no reason or a known benefit otherwise. Like kinda going to a spa.

We are either lied to or our leaders are all stupid, or they believe that if are kept uninformed they would be easily taken to the slaughter as so many sheep.
Staying with the energy problem  for now, we have been offered the ethanol, and the solar or wind power as the panacea, none of these is a solution and all have their own problems, any nuclear power still is years away. ( Not to say that the Nuclear power has no problems but then so does the fossil fuel  choice.)

In his inaugural address of 2007, President Bush had offered a plan to get the country on to the bio fuels and more specifically  on ethanol, with in two weeks i wrote to the president as to what was wrong with his plan, months and months before, the National Geographic or the U.S.NEWS saw any problems, if you  read what I said, I did not leave much out.
The problems with the solar and the wind power are so numerous  that they will create more jobs in cleaning up the mess than they will create in the energy production and distribution.

It is no state secret that the wind and the solar energy are not reliable, winds slow down or die, sun may or may not come out tomorrow, and for days, thus the power must be stored, (of course we will have fossil fuel powered back up any way so the expense of having power plants as we know them is not going to go away).
As we know if today the storage of power ( and not near enough to run a town for even hours) will require massive amounts of batteries, made of no less than the lead, sulfuric acid and cadmium, some of the most dangerous and poisonous items, not yet going in to other uses of these. Not just how will these be used, worse how we plan to  dispose of these?

LIFE IS A GAME OF CONNECT THE DOTS, IF YOU DON'T CONNECT ALL THE DOTS OR DON'T CONNECT THEM IN THE RIGHT ORDER YOU NEVER GET THE PICTURE
