The Schindler family videotaped Schiavo for extended periods of time, discarding nearly all of the footage, and prepared a short but disingenuous "highlight" video featuring only the occasional moments when her facial expression looked vaguely like a smile, or when family members were posing where Schiavo seemed to be staring, giving the illusion of "eye contact."

Is not the economy on life support, with a feeding tube called the "recovery plan", our comatose economy will surely die without one. Then every week some one sees the smile in the economy' face. The stocks are up? on what basis? When we are still losing half a million jobs every month. Did not some people think that she could see also. Fore closures were down because there was a moratorium, now lifted. and houses are being sold to investors for dimes on a dollar, but you know these investors can not hold the properties indefinitely, then who will they sell the properties to. Wages can not go up because of large numbers of the unemployed, the tax revenues will not increase without a rise in wages and increase in employment. Thus social security, medicare and the general fund will all continue to suffer ever larger deficits. And one day the feeding tube will need to be removed.
